Mine used to do the same until he decided that the ground beneath my feet was a much better entry point. We stopped seeing each other as often shortly thereafter
Same! It literally launched me into the air and as I fell back down to the ground I could see it flying through the air. Gave me a damn heart attack 😂😂
The same here mate ... im a very tough guy never scared of everything in game. But that worm maked me do the same thing you are saying Gtfo this planet.😅😂😂
Landed on a “grassy planet” and it had a pretty nice environment, clear blue sky, the only strange thing is that dozens of gigantic worms fly in the sky regularly plus there’s these giant lady bug things that fly around as well
I wonder if we're all nearby somehow. The star system near me has one weird planet with giant steampunk bulb things that look like tripods and the planet I started in has this psychedelic land jellyfish that can fly under the earth and through the grass and shoots up in the sky. Also these goofy gopher looking things but they can't fly but they can dig
It’ll just say Immortal worm and it cannot be scanned….without permission of course lol. Probably because then people will want to display it and it’s too big for that
No man sky devs have been amazing. I really believe that the next patch should be a bunch of new planets biome. Just to make the exploration new and interesting again
Yeah it is very nice how far the game has come. I came back to it a few days ago after years of waiting and observing the development progress. More biomes and general diversity in things would be awesome, but what I really wish they did is to add PROPER freighter battles. Yeah nice we got the pirate dreadnought and I love the looks of it, but I was really disappointed once I knew I can't even summon it to destroy an enemy freighter with those big fuckin cannons. Also I wish that the squadon was more than just looks. I know that they do dmg but the dmg is so low, dude, my farts are a weapon of mass destruction compared to the dmg a full S-class squadron does. Not that I would need the help of my squadron, but what is the point of cool shit if it's completely useless?
First time playing NMS and made my base on this gorgeous little planet that looked so innocent. Then i walk out my front door and look up to see a giant worm jumping right over my base and dives down right in front of me. The whole i was screaming to my boyfriend "WHAAAAAAT IS THAAAAAAAT?!?!?!?! IS IT HOSTILE CAUSE THAT FELT HOSTILE?????" I quickly googled it to see if i needed to book it out of there before I was reenacting a scene from star wars. Turns out the worms are harmless they just leave big holes in thw turrain.
dude this happened to me as I was tripping on lsd while playing nms in vr. Seeing that massive kilometer long worm jumping over my head just made me shit my pants
10 to 2 AM, X, Yogi DMT, and a box of Krispy Kremes, in my "need to know" pose, just outside of Area 51 Contemplating the whole "chosen people" thingy when a flaming stealth banana split the sky like one would hope but never really expect to see in a place like this. Cutting right angle donuts on a dime and stopping right at my Birkenstocks, and me yelping... Holy fucking shit!
First one i saw was on a worm-infested black and white planet. Seriously, no color. It made me freak the hell out cause it wasnt in the distance, it was right behind me as i landed, making the screen shake, panicking, and just started running. That was a fun experience though.
Breh that shit happened to me while in the middle of setting up my base, I collected everything back into my inventory and got the fuck off of that planet Lol 😂
My first ever Worm was in the worlds update, it was a sand planet with lots of radiation and an almost black and white filter on it. Absolutely awesome.
Sadly, you cannot be killed by those giant worms flying through the sky, which would make for exciting gameplay. That said, you CAN be killed by the giant larval creatures burrowed in the ground.
Seriously Breh I cannot swim into the deep ocean whatsoever on this game & I can’t stand the feeling being under water especially when it’s dark on the planet . I be like how the hell can a video game have me feeling this damn nervous, had some weird ass sea creatures down there approaching and freakin me the fuck out and clams chomping down on my arms and all, hell nah Lol
I found a planet like that in the Euclid galaxy. I built an indium farm there with level S and found that the worm sometimes visits my base there. Really cool!
We need more giant creature like the worm in the game. Im sh*t scared of the ocean so having some giant ocean creature on the ocean planet would be cool af
For some reason I hate dying in this game more than any other game I’ve played . As soon as I landed on a planet and saw that giant worm, I tried to get the fuck out of there right away but had no more fuel left in my starship to leave . I quit the game and reloaded to my last save and never went back there for the rest of my career .
I spawned on a planet with these worms and the cutscene that plays when you load in, a worm jumped right infront the camera it has to be so rare to happen
Lol i came across a planet with one of those and i became very grateful that i dont have close neighbors bc my wtf at 3am would not have been appreciated
It still blows my mind how massive the entire no mans sky map truly is….its literally the one most impressive maps of all time disregarding its outer space based
I landed on a planet and it had fire storms all the time My home planet is like Earth but it has bubbles in its atmosphere, like living in a washing machine 😂
Right, imagine if all the creatures and sentinels including some plants and trees in the game were hardcore killing entities, including that giant worm, not to mention if they had random NPCs traveling around each planet being out for the hunt, shit would have folks on edge at all times while playing this damn game Lol .
My first time playing I spawned right in and not even 5 mins in I saw that and quit for about 2 years hahahahah games been good beeen playing a lot recently now
if NMS and Destiny was combined it would be epic. Being able to fly to different planets farming and also fighting the different enemies from destiny on planet or in space in your ship. But then i feel they'd add microtransactions and kill it altogether.
Bro... the first worm i ran into it never told me there was worms on the planet for the scan... i was just getting used to the eerie ambient sounds that come from each planet-type depending on ur current location so i ignored the rumbling for long enough to let it get close lmfao
The first time I encountered those giant worms was when it literally came out of the ground i was standing on, got jumpscared badly, didn’t kill me tho it did a lil dmg!
My survival world has a terraform planet where i set my base in. Right after it, there is a worm ridden moon, and a dead one, filled with whispering eggs. Both orbiting the terraform planet.
I spent two days on a planet in Euclid and could not figure out why that was random earthquakes. The third day, I got pwnt by the worm that was causing them.
HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! I remember my first time, I nearly had to change my underwear, now I hunt them for resources and sometimes out of spite, cause I really don't like them.

I think all the girlfriends went to this content creators HOUSE!! He is CUUUTE 😋😋

I built my base on a high-energy planet that has a titan worm. His name is Frank. He jumps over my base every time I land there.
Lmfao, I have a titan worm and bro digs around my base. I'm glad he doesn't damage anything. Good lad.
Same my base is on a paradise planet and it’s on the top of a very high flat mountain range and the worm always jumps from mountain to mountain
He’s just excited to see you
Frank the Tank

10x better reaction when you land and they spawn directly behind you. my first time I had a panic attack.
Same bro. Shit myself 😂

The only game that terrifies me was Subnautica diving in open deep water and the sound of each titan is terrifying

It was a culmination of what the fuck and confusion
This is better than Star field, you can actually land and explore the planet
the combo of no mans sky and starfield would be the perfect space game

I've already seen those back in 2016, when the game was released. :)
Found one just a while ago
Had super agressive sentinels
LMAO, Starfield could NEVER!
FR

could never what ? That worm is on most planets in NMS and it doesnt do anything. Its boring the second time you see it.
It's hilarious how everyone has to comment on SF in a NMS video, clearly, SF lives rent free in your head.

I’ve found those about 10 times. Have never been able to scan one. They are hard to chase.

Maybe not. I guess I just assumed you could because of the red dot like other unscanned fauna. 🤷🏻♂️
Can't scan em but there's some special resource thing tied to its spawn point or eggs or something
It’ll just say Immortal worm and it cannot be scanned….without permission of course lol. Probably because then people will want to display it and it’s too big for that
They don't register on the planets directory so can't scan em.
