Thank you for your encouragement. As far as mass media effects, I can't speak to that side of it. I stick to the small group communication aspects of the theory. But, if you have that article (But, I'm not sure which article you mean), then I'm sure you'll be okay to understand it on your own.

Sites on google say that fantasy theme analysis is just an attendant to the Symbolic Convergence Theory. And if they are not the same, how do they differ? It's really the same. As I understand it, at some point, some researchers started calling it Fantasy Theme Analysis but most people I know consider them interchangeable names.

I didn't need proper training or previous exposure on convergence theory to intuit what it would be about. That's convergence theory in itself.
