ABOUT SUPERSTORE
America Ferrera and Ben Feldman star in the hilarious workplace comedy "Superstore," about a unique family of employees at a supersized megastore. "Superstore" centers around Amy (Ferrera), who recently was promoted to be the store manager and is the glue holding the place together, and Jonah (Feldman), a dreamer determined to prove work doesn't have to be boring. Their fellow associates include the sardonic Garrett (Colton Dunn), the sweet and clueless Cheyenne (Nichole Bloom), and the perpetually dismissed Sandra (Kaliko Kauahi). Also on the team are Glenn (Mark McKinney), who stepped down as manager in an attempt to have more family time, and Dina (Lauren Ash), the aggressive assistant manager who enforces Cloud 9 policy with an iron fist. Mateo (Nico Santos) was also part of the team, most recently as the self-promoted floor supervisor, until being detained due to his undocumented status.

During quarantine, I started watching a prank show called ‘Scare Tactics’. It was run of the mill, but one of the featured ‘scare-actors’ just clearly had incredible improv skills, the kind you can only get really grinding at your craft, and maybe working in the service industry. It started as a joke essentially, but every time she appeared on screen I acted like I was her Twitter stan hype army. I would go ‘Omg!!!! It’s Lauren Ash!!!!!’ It eventually stopped being a joke. And then I was totally ecstatic to see Lauren was in a sitcom!!! I binged this show immediately. Lauren Ash, you are so sincerely talented, and the joy of entertainment you always exude is sincerely appreciated.
OH MY GOSH. I NEVER REALIZED / MADE THAT CONNECTION. I would’ve binge scare tactics so much when I was younger and her character always stood out to me lmaoo. Omg thank you for tapping into a memory of mine I forgot I even had

I used to say that, but it ended so perfectly I think a reboot would ruin that. A spin-off would be fun, there was talk of a Cheyenne and bo spin-off but it never happened.

Dina really reminds me of the animal control officer in Friends (from the episode where Rachel lost Marcel). The two actresses even resemble each other, IMO.
