I have an uncirculated two dollar bill from the late 70’s. My friend , who worked in a bank, gave it to me for one of my paintings. My grandparents gave all of us $2 bills for every occasion, they continued with my children and then my grandchildren. I have them all in a safe. I am definitely going to put on my gloves and go through them. I have collected coins my whole life, as does my father and my grandfather. My children have followed my path and now I have my grandchildren doing the same... if nothing else, it should be worth face value.

Not very likely to Ffind a US, red seal note in circulation. The Red Seal makes it stick out like a sore thumb.
Oddly, not for everyone. Along with 10% of the male population, I have Red-Green color deficiency and the difference in color is hard to make out. We'll just have to read the banner above Jackson.

I have a 1976 star note no folds perfect condition, and a 1953 red ink 2 dollar bills perfect condition.
The PCGS radar note sold for $74 But it cost $64 to get it graded by PCGS.
Let's do the math $74-$64=$10 Minus the face value $2 That's an $8 profit.

I just found a $2.00 bill from1863 from the Chattanooga bank from my mom’s stuff she had ..she was born in 1916 and her grandfather fought in the Union Army during the civil war .. not at all in good condition but hey I’m just happy to have it ..

Correction but I have seen in school that they are one of the rarest bills in the world there are only around 1.2billion, 2 dollar bills compared to all the other bills there are but if you do want to get 2 dollar bills just ask the bank that you go to and tell them to take out 2 dollar bills or at least that's what I have heard but idk

I have quite a few 2$ bills that I collected in the 70s but I haven't seen one in circulation for 20yrs or so.
I've a friend who used to go to the bank and ask for 20 or 50 dollars worth of $2 bills, he would then tip waiters and such whenever he went out, he said it was a lot of fun to see their reaction cause they thought it was cool. Sometimes a younger waiter or waitress had never even seen one before.
My mom has quite a few $2 bills. She gave me some. I put 2 of them in the self check out at grocery store, after asking the clerk. It accepted them and even deducted the price but then the whole machine froze up and wouldn't work. The manager said they see a few from time to time.

I don't know much about these, I wasn't aware there were limited edition $2 bills. Sadly, $2 bills don't circulate, at least not in my neck of the woods. I've literally never received one in change.

I got a stack of uncirculated $2 bills and seem to be miscues, thinner on top and thicker on the bottom and also the indentation on the back of letters like it was mis struck without ink, they’re all 2107 A series. They also seem to have ink blotches here and there.

I was told by a Numismatic that if you find loose proof or mint coins and or bills, they were either stolen and used or inherited the people didn't know what they had and just spent the coins and or bills.
I have a several 1/2 dollars coins that are in very good shape. They look kind of like the satin un-circulated coins, that come directly from the mint. A couple of them look almost like proofs. I'll have to dig them out, and look at them again. And yes, that is exactly what I thought. They were either stolen, or someone was broke, and cashed them in.
I had an inverted $2 bill I got in 1976 while working for a bank. I kept it till 1990 and sold it for 1800. Wonder what it would be worth today . Bill was in uncirculated condition.

I seriously doubt you'd find old one like that in circulation because the banks would probably keep it
Since they're often just counted quickly and by the corner, they more often go unnoticed unless they're looking for something.

Back in 1976 the postal service printed a four stamp series representing the signing of the Decoration of Independence. Several of my co-workers were buying those stamp sets and pasting them on the backs of $2 bills, thinking that would increase their value. For whatever reason I followed along and did the same to four bills I had, Was that just a waste of money and possible decrease their value? I don't recall now what the cost of the stamps were. The other thing we did was to have them all post marked at the Kennedy Space Center post office. Are these worth saving ?
