  • Removing diff on my 2005 CTSV . Done on jack stands. You only need to remove passenger side axle. I know there’s someone out there with a blown first gen cts v diff so I hope this helps. Everything goes on in the same order you took it off!

    This video is perfect. I just pulled out my buddy's diff out of his 2005 cts-v following everything you did. Putting in the SRX diff tomorrow. Thanks for uploading the best diff pull on youtube.

      I agree, great video. I have a 2007 cts-v, what is the part number for the SRX differential. I noticed GM made a 4th generation cts-v differential as well, part number 25873498 released in 2008. Any opinion on the SRX differential being better?

      @@chrisreynolds2410 exact fit. Posi and just a little taller gears. My buddy has thrashed on it and no issues or signs of wear.

      Wow, what a well kept secret.
      Thanks for that tidbit.
      I’m gonna start to diagnose my leak maybe I can send you pics or vids if I get stuck.
      I still gotta have the car towed to my where I’m gonna work on it and then start.
      I’m also looking for some wheel dollies prior to starting.

    I have an 05 cts with the 3.6. Not the “v”. I’m about to attempt to change the rear end. Is this the same or is there a big difference

    As for the new diff, what do you do with the whole on top, and how do you snap the axels back in?

    • @trinipapyfoxbody
      @trinipapyfoxbody  Před 3 lety +2

      Phillip Holzinger the hole on top is just a vent. And to pop the axle in you litteraly just stab them in . There are some snap rings on the axle but you don’t have to do anything but push them in.
