I don’t think it’s so much that BIG didn’t like Snoop (because there are pictures of them together and he even shouted him out on Life After Death). BIG was from the hood of Brooklyn. He knew the heat was on in LA, so getting numerous calls from Snoop at such a time must’ve had him on guard. Pac had just died! It was too much going on. Also, each time he linked Snoop it was when Snoop came to NY! BIG also rolled with a very tight crew. He was very selective with who he had around him and was a very careful and calculated individual. There’s a story told by Bun B of UGK that when BIG came to Houston he linked them and they got in a whip to smoke and BIG opted to sit in the back of the car with the car door opened, all in the case that if something jumped off he could easily escape, being super careful because he didn’t know UGK personally. Jay-Z also spoke of a time that BIG refused to go into a club with him one night because the dudes that were inside he didn’t mix too well with and didn’t wanna risk anything jumping off. I think the whole ‘ducking’ Snoop thing was just him being careful.
