I have one Cagiva Mito 6 speed 125. I think NSR is more progressive in the acceleration and so kind when you finally open gas to exit the curve. This pilot with my bike should be faster than Márquez.

125 is freaking fast, like dirt bike keep I revved and corner with all the speed you can safely carry. Momentum is key on small bore bikes but they flick and corner like nothing else
No liter bike can carry the corner speed of 2 stroke 125😅 can humble 600 bikes in curves easy as long as there are no long straights. Corner carving it is a scalpel 4 stroke is a chainsaw.😊

Hello! I'm a new honda nsr 125 2002 rider, and want to upgrade my bike. I've been looking into some exhaust but I do not want to buy a full system, rather a slip on (for the sound). Can someone give me some tips, and tricks to make the exhaust fit; and make the bike faster.

It is stock yes, but open with 28ps or something. Sproket was also stock for what I know.

It's a lovely and also powerful / very light 125 two stroke bike!
If you like the supersport feeling + 2 stroke, I'd defninitely suggest it! :)
Can you prepare the original pipe to 28 ps? I mean that you don't have to buy a sport exhaust you know what I mean I will do it but it should look original you know?
Right, I know, what you mean.
I'm not quite sure if it works but it should be possible. I'd suggest you to really learn about 2 stroke tuning, then you will know, what to do with the original pipe!

I had a brand new one of these in 1988 when I was a mechanic, and the first thing I did to it was derestrict it 🙂.. I remember heading for the longest and fastest roads around North Wales where I managed to hit an indicated top speed of 106mph whilst racing my brother on his RD350 F2 🤫
I know on the original NSR125 pipe there is a restrictor in the exhausts downtube (its just a narrower pipe inside the downtube hole.) If you're very careful with a die grinder you can remove that tube by grinding the weld away and instantly have 24ps. The fuel mixture should be checked afterwards to make sure its not running too weak.
Hey just wanted to ask how big is the bike, I have around 188cm and I'm quite heavy. Will it fit me? I really want this bike
tbh., 188 for a big guy, this bike will be quite small for you and I cannot recommend it to you

125 street or dirt teaches one greT ike lesson, ride in power band. If you have 1000cc 4 stroke you never hardly shift. 125 2 stroke teaches the art of gearing and shifting all the time to stay in narrow power band. Also teaches momentum is key. It hones racing and riding skills. Fast on 125 or 250 takes skill.they teach you hp is not the difference in being fast, your skill is best weapon. Seen 400 twin ninja eat 1000 ninja on track with a good rider on 400. Long straight any fool o. 1000 walks but in corners the 400 with good rider makes 1000 look silly. Small bikes make racers, big bikes make ego riders.
Does it have a fuel indicator?
No, but you have a reserve of gas that you can use when you're dry.

Its dangerous accelerating into a corner
Ypu never rode small 2 stroke on street, you can accelerate into out of and in middle of corner. Keeping corner speed up Is key. Not like 100hp hits at once 125 has lower power easy to control if you keep it revved there is no big kick once in power band. You need to ride 125 2 stroke, corner speed and momentum Is key. You are barely ever off the gas. If you do you are way behind. In the power band 125 does not have enough power to break tire loose. When it first hits yeah but that is art of fast on 125 get in power band rev piss out of it and never let it fall to.lower rims. Most 8 grand to 12 grand is the sweet spot depending on make of bike. Some 9grand to 13 or 14 grand for street bikes of 125cc.
