- Part 2 of Konrad Sheehan's Real Life Stories of the Wanderers tells all the Behind the Scenes stories shooting the Wanderer movie - one of the greatest movies about Bronx Gangs of the 60s ever.
Konrad Sheehan portrayed the Ducky Boy leader in the Wanderers who hit Perry with the car antenna. He also portrayed the roller skating leader of the Punks gang in the Warriors movie.. Konrad was also a stuntman in many scenes of the Wanderers, Warriors and most movies filmed in NYC between 1976 and 1985.
Continuing this series by James Hannon, author of Lost Boys of the Bronx: The Oral History of the Ducky Boys Gang, we go back to the videotapes of the interviews done for the book - when it was still going to be a documentary. Hear stories from real Ducky Boy and Fordham Baldies gang members and even some of their victims, as well as other cast from the Wanderers and experts on the Bronx and its colorful history!
Part 1 covered How Konrad got cast in the Wanderers and Part 3 will cover Konrad's iconic role playing the roller-skating Punk Leader in the Warriors, as well as his other acting and stunt roles, Raging Bull, Brubaker, and others.

Hey James, another great part in what for me has been a fantastic series so far , and although I'm sure there may be those that may think why are the interviews not with " big cast members" , watch the film and say the Ducky Boy's scene's were not some of the most haunting/nerve wracking scene's in the film. Do you have much more footage to upload? Take care.
Thank you so much Angus! I've got 1, possibly 2 with Konrad in the next couple of days... Then I plan on going with real-life Ducky and Baldie gang-members (If the tape quality is still good)... Then hopefully big stuff after the current crisis passes :)
@@JamesHannonAuthor that's great James, I look forward to seeing those. Yes, this Corvid-19 pandemic needs to be taken more seriously, so take care. 🙏
Angus Dafoe the quicker everyone takes it seriously, the quicker it will be over... I’m looking forward to doing the new stuff :)
@@JamesHannonAuthor indeed, can't wait to see it. 👍
these are awesome james- i have your book btw- stunted irish madmen haha- you should have asked him if the ducky boys had their own fog- it seemed to appear every time they did
Very very cool. Great movie.
A stunt guy Konrad would remember, Edgard Mourino (who also worked on "Ft. Apache, The Bronx, doing the building fall), was the one being swung around by Emilio.
Nice to meet you, that scene is so good
The scene under the El Train was shot in Queens, not Brooklyn.
We gonna make a ducky boy tune ill keep you posted x
Good work!
Excellent craic
The Church was in the Bronx.
Hey Mark! Your character freaked me out as a kid ha ha. I was raised on Holland Ave in the Bronx and I watch the Wanderers with anyone I can. It's a pleasure to see you here.
Great craic
Were The Wongs a real gang as well?
I have found folks who swore they knew the real life Wongs, but nobody could give me any specific details or names…. So I’m not sure if they’re real or legends….
