I consider my ex with a kind of hermit style personality, abandoned somehoy and adopted by a wealthy family, and he got to build many houses by himself with no help at all. He has been on many relationships before me. But we connected very strongly, as if I knew him from a past life. He said he loved me several times, but never gave me time, he was always working but saying good morning every day. One Angle that wasn't considered as a reader, is that maybe someone had to walk away to either open the door and move forward or leave the connection behind. Trying to break a trauma Bond for a few months.
