Xolaani would be broken with Viego and mist wraiths. The deck already goes wide + gets stats every time you summon another one so it fits quite well and targon also has pretty good protection (by spellshields) soooo...

I love what they did with Kayle. She gets quick attack at empowered 6 because when she hits level 6 in league, she gains access to ranged attacks, on level up she gets an AoE effect and when she hits empowered 16, just like in league, she wins the game. Also love, that Mihira is just an accurate representation of an angel from christian lore.
I also hope, that Kayle or Cunning Kitten get their artwork updated, once their conditions are met, just like the lonely Poro. They should seriously consider artwork transformations for non-champion cards more often.
I think assimilate means your darkin weapons took over. So maybe when you assimilate the darkin weapon turns into its unit form taking its host's stats and keyword. Which actually makes sense since they are darkins.

Meh, PoC is dominated by low cost champs. The lower the cost, the sooner they make impact with their set of items. There's a difference between a turn two 8/9 Vayne and a turn 5 Aatrox.

Is there a world where you run XOLAANI in a ephemeral deck? Then you use the card that buffs ephemeral units with sharks. When anyone attacks sharks spawn get buffs then die fueling XOL, then when she is leveled and attacks you spawn sharks and sharks turn into exact copies of her. Its very possible that this deck require to many pieces and be inconsistent because of this, but pretty cool concept.
It's hilarious that all the Vladimir support cards are in no way going to improve his situation and are just incredible cards by themselves, it's just Vladimir is so bad it brings the rest down

No. For exemple, if Kai'sa copy a X stack of Impact she only gain one. But I guess that unit in deck could get multiple if they are hit multiple time with this effect. But I wonder if he can hit a unit that already have the keyword because giving overwhelm to a overwhelm unit is quite bad. Or Impact is the only one that can bypass that rule ? We don't know until we played it live I guess. ^^'
Impact might not stack since usually the units that gains multiple impact are already on board, or stated on the card (Smash&Dash or Furious Faefolk). But I hope it does stack tho, because the possibility of an impact based deck sounds pretty fun.
I personally think Solari Soldier would be a really good 1 drop for Kayle decks - it comes into play with +1/+1 with Daybreak, allowing you to stack Kayle's power as early as turn 1 if you have the attack token.

Wow, Celestial Blessing is actually good (as opposed to League's version where it's the worst ability in the game). You can play around freezes, culling strike, quietus and bunch of other stuff. Mihira sounds really cool and not as easy to abuse unlike equipment. Also pretty sure Baalkux is pronounced Bhaalcooks, but yeah it is rather amusing name. I mostly play Viktor/Asol, only making another deck with Viktor/Kai'sa. It looks like i'll have to try Kayle and Asol.

I'm worried that it's a bit too slow. You need two action and 3 mana to summon them. So against aggro, you are in trouble. But it seems fun so I will also try to make it works.
Elites were honestly a solid deck this past format. Really good against Seraphine at the time too Played mono-"damacia" with just 3 matron for Cithria. That turn 8 play coming right after the Galio on turn 7. I think the new 1 drop will give it more competitive viability for sure
I wonder if Ekko is worth taking with Ryze, given every predict is most likely either going to give you a shard, a relic of the past, or a chronobreak to proc ryze's leveled attack effect.

Those champions were all hits honestly. Even thematically they are great (except maybe Ryze, but still). Three Champions that are super powerful in lore and who will just end the game, amazing
I sort of predicted the Origin for Ryze. I expected he would only get the Tellstones because canonically he was researching them and then he would create runes based on burst/focus speeds used. But this is a little different from my vision of it. I like it a lot. Also I think Assimilate is take control but finally with a unique keyword.

Xolaani with blood altar, you can play targon xolaani very early with slay deck and the undying, which is naturally empowered. If lucky you can have xolaani pokemon transform at round 8-9. If you are blessed by the elder gods and lovecraftian deities perhaps on 7. Favourite card, Baalkux The Demonetiser of Streams.

YESS, illaoi decks are finally recognized This weapon looks weak, but in an illaoi deck you always have a way to spawn, and once you did just equip the tentacle, so every attack is a +2|+2 Man I'm so glad we got this card Not to mention you can forge it too, so if your tentacle dies you have an equipment with half of the porgress of your spawn
You might be underestimating Void Gate because you're just thinking of the odds of getting one of the 3 cards in your next few draws which is incredibly low. However, Void Gate gives all the positive keywords to 3 allies in your deck everytime you summon an ally or everytime an ally dies.... That's a lot of keywords being sent in your deck. And if you draw just one card that accumulated keywords and play it, it sends even more keywords in your deck, it sends even more if it dies, and your deck thins with time. Over just a few turns, your deck will be an insane pool of keywords even if they kill the Void Gate in two turns. Think about using it if you make an Impact deck. Everytime your Impact cards are played or die, they send their Impact to the deck. Since they keyword stack, you'll get way bigger Impact values in your future card and if those die, you send insane amounts of Impact in your deck. You can see how it could snowball really fast and you end up striking their Nexus directly with your attacks.
The shape of fear is extremely good in viego eve deck, because it can boost the scaling of the mist and it can also deny targeted attacks that gives an upside to the enemy like strikes and etc.
Kayle is designed really good, it's literally just she in LoL, Aatrox seems to be really fun to play, sadly you only can put him and another Darkin champion, i wanted to play the three of the Darkins so badly, but the idea of a Darkin commander that can turn the entire board into powerful Darkins is really cool, Ryze is really cool, they represented him really well (unlike in LoL), the rune mage finally got some respect, Mommy Xolaani maybe be my favorite non-champion card, i want so badly that they make her as a champ in LoL and in LoR
I find it fun to play Revna with Ionia.. recalling her and creating an ephemeral copy of her and love how big my units late game.. i will try the black flame to this
It's actually 69 cards (check Runeterra AR) and Ryze reminds me more of Bakuras FINAL destiny spell cards system because they're on the field unlike Exodia 😅
Here's my thoughts on all 3 champions: 1) Aatrox- really well designed imo, you don't need to protect him as well because the moment he dies you just equip a follower with his equipment and with World Ender you'll get a lvl 2 Aatrox with the weapon equipped which is pretty insane. In terms of combinations I think the best one is actually Ornn because you can forge the darkin weapons and when you assimilate you'll have all of your followers turn into said darkin with the buffs because the darkin keep the weapon. 2) Kayle- she is also pretty dope and works really well in an handbuff archetype so the first thing that comes to mind is Bard since the chimes will make it a lot easier to reach that empowered state. Another really cool combination is Garen/elites. The reason for that being is that you have many tools that can actually buff elites (the new 8 cost spell, that elite spell that can buff your elite units if you spend 9 mana on it, Battlesmith, Garen, Bannerman etc), so you have many ways to actually buff units which will make your Kayle a lot bigger in the proccess. 3) Ryze- this can be very hard because you need to run Ryze in regions where you can protect him so Ionia and Targon come to mind. You can pair him up with someone like Karma so you can stall out the game until you get to your Exodia combo. Seems like a very cool champ.

While Ryze is incredible, Kayle opens up so many synergies with underperforming packages, poppy only really has to attack 2 or 3 times, ionia hand buff is good too, sand soldiers are a nice option too and I'm sure there's even more stuff.
I'm so excited for this expansion. All of the champions seem fun to me, and I think Aatrox has to be my favorite. I was worried they wouldn't be able to sell the fantasy of him gathering the other darkin to fight Xolaani, but the level 2 definitely delivers. New Xolaani is a close second though.
Kayle udir with freyord deck is insane. Use boar card that give all unit in your deck+1/1 do that any unit in your deck and 6 mana unit card that double your stats. She is insane.
Acolyte’s reliquary with discard sound great for me cuz most discard have draw and you can discard both acolyte’s reliquary and ruinous acolyte if it fill your hand
I can see people playing Ryze with either Targon or Shurima. Targon, so you have Malphite as a backup plan in case Exodia fails. Shurima, to spellshield world runes with Soothsayer and to have Taliyah as a backup. Especially, since with Ryze you can put cards like Construct of Desolation or Succumb to the Tomb, for even more landmarks. Kayle is from Targon and not Demacia? Color me surprised. But yeah, She can work with Gwen. Every time Gwen attacks with someone else, Kayle will get a permament +2 to attack, because that's 2 units with increased power attacking thanks to Hallowed. Add few Encroaching Mists, that automatically have increased power after you summon 2nd and borh Kayle and Xolaani will be ready to transform on summon. Then there is Ionia with cards like Greenglade Elder, Keeper of the Masks, Sown Seeds, etc. Probably played with Lulu. Pouty Poro makes me wanna play Heart of the Fluft again.
I feel like it's probably worse than Ornn Jax, but I'm going to try Aatrox Ornn. Having been enjoying new spirits unleashed I'm looking forward to trying out the new Kayle cards. Less excited about Kayle herself though. I'd love empowered to come to Demacia. Obviously for lore reasons so Kayle/Demacia is a thing, but I do think it works for Demacia. Plus gives Demacia champs a direction other than rally.
I think I've never laughed that much watching youtube before going to sleep. I literally couldn't stop while you were reacting to Baalkux. My girlfriend woke up soo confused lol!
in the lore, Ryze travelled around Runeterra to find all of the World Runes that still remaining, because World Runes are so powerful and only Ryze knew how to control them, and he would hide it so no one would use it, because World Runes had made the biggest magic war in Runeterra called the Rune Wars
Some things that could work with kayle as well can be fated as well as equipment when I think about it. Could also help trigger the empowered effect on some units
Just for the record, Assimilate doesn't transform champions. It levels up Darkin champions immediately, but its wording makes it as if it levels non-Darkin champions with Darkin equipment as well. Riot's wording as usual.
@@skrilllfury2120 But Ryze can't put all the Poro units in his Deck. Currently, Poros are limited to 2 Regions, so if you go Freljord and PnZ, you can't 60% of the Poros that exist.
Okay hear me out. Jayce(or karma) with champion's strength. On defense turn if you manage to play Champion's strength and double it, the first one will ralley and the second one gives scout!
The fisherman that gives a unit -1 cost but Ephemeral is all upside with the new Fearsome unit. 1 mana 2/1, grant a unit in hand -1 cost and +1/+1. It would be an overkill of a card if it worked on every unit.

This weapon looks weak, but in an illaoi deck you always have a way to spawn, and once you did just equip the tentacle, so every attack is a +2|+2
Man I'm so glad we got this card
Not to mention you can forge it too, so if your tentacle dies you have an equipment with half of the porgress of your spawn
Additional info: the weapon is basically illaoi's star power and if you've played her in path of champions, it's insane to have this in a real game
You might be underestimating Void Gate because you're just thinking of the odds of getting one of the 3 cards in your next few draws which is incredibly low. However, Void Gate gives all the positive keywords to 3 allies in your deck everytime you summon an ally or everytime an ally dies.... That's a lot of keywords being sent in your deck. And if you draw just one card that accumulated keywords and play it, it sends even more keywords in your deck, it sends even more if it dies, and your deck thins with time. Over just a few turns, your deck will be an insane pool of keywords even if they kill the Void Gate in two turns.
Think about using it if you make an Impact deck. Everytime your Impact cards are played or die, they send their Impact to the deck. Since they keyword stack, you'll get way bigger Impact values in your future card and if those die, you send insane amounts of Impact in your deck. You can see how it could snowball really fast and you end up striking their Nexus directly with your attacks.
The shape of fear is extremely good in viego eve deck, because it can boost the scaling of the mist and it can also deny targeted attacks that gives an upside to the enemy like strikes and etc.

Kayle is designed really good, it's literally just she in LoL, Aatrox seems to be really fun to play, sadly you only can put him and another Darkin champion, i wanted to play the three of the Darkins so badly, but the idea of a Darkin commander that can turn the entire board into powerful Darkins is really cool, Ryze is really cool, they represented him really well (unlike in LoL), the rune mage finally got some respect, Mommy Xolaani maybe be my favorite non-champion card, i want so badly that they make her as a champ in LoL and in LoR
It makes sense that you cant add Varus and Rhaast. Varus isnt on Aatrox' side so just go Aatrox Rhaast

It's actually 69 cards (check Runeterra AR) and Ryze reminds me more of Bakuras FINAL destiny spell cards system because they're on the field unlike Exodia 😅
I think aatrox origin activates on equipping a darkin to a minion, so forging onto cheap units could be pretty strong.
Yeah a midrange kayle bard would be great. Because cards like mihara and kayle are slower than tentacles but they scale just as good I'd think

Here's my thoughts on all 3 champions:
1) Aatrox- really well designed imo, you don't need to protect him as well because the moment he dies you just equip a follower with his equipment and with World Ender you'll get a lvl 2 Aatrox with the weapon equipped which is pretty insane. In terms of combinations I think the best one is actually Ornn because you can forge the darkin weapons and when you assimilate you'll have all of your followers turn into said darkin with the buffs because the darkin keep the weapon.
2) Kayle- she is also pretty dope and works really well in an handbuff archetype so the first thing that comes to mind is Bard since the chimes will make it a lot easier to reach that empowered state. Another really cool combination is Garen/elites. The reason for that being is that you have many tools that can actually buff elites (the new 8 cost spell, that elite spell that can buff your elite units if you spend 9 mana on it, Battlesmith, Garen, Bannerman etc), so you have many ways to actually buff units which will make your Kayle a lot bigger in the proccess.
3) Ryze- this can be very hard because you need to run Ryze in regions where you can protect him so Ionia and Targon come to mind. You can pair him up with someone like Karma so you can stall out the game until you get to your Exodia combo. Seems like a very cool champ.

Actually love darkin so much (lore wise, and mechanically) so all the new stuff is exciting.
While Ryze is incredible, Kayle opens up so many synergies with underperforming packages, poppy only really has to attack 2 or 3 times, ionia hand buff is good too, sand soldiers are a nice option too and I'm sure there's even more stuff.

I'm so excited for this expansion. All of the champions seem fun to me, and I think Aatrox has to be my favorite. I was worried they wouldn't be able to sell the fantasy of him gathering the other darkin to fight Xolaani, but the level 2 definitely delivers. New Xolaani is a close second though.
Kayle udir with freyord deck is insane. Use boar card that give all unit in your deck+1/1 do that any unit in your deck and 6 mana unit card that double your stats. She is insane.
Acolyte’s reliquary with discard sound great for me cuz most discard have draw and you can discard both acolyte’s reliquary and ruinous acolyte if it fill your hand
I can see people playing Ryze with either Targon or Shurima. Targon, so you have Malphite as a backup plan in case Exodia fails. Shurima, to spellshield world runes with Soothsayer and to have Taliyah as a backup. Especially, since with Ryze you can put cards like Construct of Desolation or Succumb to the Tomb, for even more landmarks.
Kayle is from Targon and not Demacia? Color me surprised. But yeah, She can work with Gwen. Every time Gwen attacks with someone else, Kayle will get a permament +2 to attack, because that's 2 units with increased power attacking thanks to Hallowed. Add few Encroaching Mists, that automatically have increased power after you summon 2nd and borh Kayle and Xolaani will be ready to transform on summon. Then there is Ionia with cards like Greenglade Elder, Keeper of the Masks, Sown Seeds, etc. Probably played with Lulu.

I'd love empowered to come to Demacia. Obviously for lore reasons so Kayle/Demacia is a thing, but I do think it works for Demacia. Plus gives Demacia champs a direction other than rally.

Just for the record, Assimilate doesn't transform champions. It levels up Darkin champions immediately, but its wording makes it as if it levels non-Darkin champions with Darkin equipment as well. Riot's wording as usual.
We need to have the Poro King as a champion who allows to put all Poro followers and all spells that have "Poro" in its effect as its Origin
Ryze can use plenty of the poro-making cards.
@@skrilllfury2120 But Ryze can't put all the Poro units in his Deck. Currently, Poros are limited to 2 Regions, so if you go Freljord and PnZ, you can't 60% of the Poros that exist.
Kayle Azir Sand soldier. Might not be the best but azir and the other one that increase attackers with sand soldiers would level Kayle pretty quick
