My uncle actually has a gameboy camera and a printer. He would make stickers with it.
I actually got a GameBoy Color, Interact PulsePak Color, & Interact HandyPak Color. Plug everything together??? Oh yeah!! Awesome City, Baby!!!
Ironically my favorate episodes are when he reviews hardware instead of software for some reason
Usually because either A the hardware has a ridiculous story or concept behind it or B he puts way more production into those videos.
@@dwarfminerwillie In the hardware videos he usually shows a lot more games or things, plus all the hardware stuff features more acting scenes than screen recordings of games.
When I saw this. I flipped out. I never knew there were that many accessories.
Game Boy Sewing Machines, Pocket sonar fish finders, dear god, they were on drugs when they thought of this stuff. 😂

@@MynameisCharlie personally I think it kind of is. Think about it, imagine being a kid about to have an operation, you're scared out of your mind but then the doctor gives you a gameboy with "headphones".

What James didn't know, the Gameboy Camera can spin.
So it's fully usable on Super Gameboy.
There are actual GB / GBC Games that are compatable with the Gameboy Printer.
Such as Donkey Kong Country GBC, Super Mario Bros Deluxe, several Pokemon Games, and even some third party games, like Alice In Wonderland

Here is some fact's about Gameboy:
1. Orginal Gameboy shows games with ugly green screen. But Nintendo release in 96 (year after original gameboy), Game Boy Pocket, and one change was this: The screen was changed to a true black-and-white display, rather than the "pea soup" monochromatic display of the original Game Boy. (Copying from wikipedia)
2. That Sewing Machine, is odd but not bad. Idea of that machine, was to make boys interested in sewing. It cost over 500 dollars as used from ebay, and it include's everything that was in original pack.
3. Gaming Historian has made a video about that Pocket Sonar, where he try's that, and it is good episode.
4. Idea of those extra speakers, was to make able to listen game music's louder, like in party's, or you just wanna enjoy that music, etc.
5. Pokemon game's were one's, that made Link Cable really popular.

I remember the commercials for the GN camera. “Smile! You’re on Gameboy Camera!”
That Barcode Boy thing reminds me of this thing that's similar that I had called the E Reader, you'd put it in either your Gameboy Advance or Advance SP, scan these cards and you'd be able to play certain NES titles like Mario Bros and Donkey Kong.
There actually was a GameBoy model with a normal screen, the GameBoy Light. It was only released in Japan, but considering GameBoy games aren't regionlocked, you can still play all of your GameBoy games. Be warned, though; these things are EXPENSIVE. They're about $100-$200 USD right now, depending on the condition.

@@MynameisCharlie: So I got this All-In-One thing for the GameBoy Color I have; Buttons, light/magnifier, battery adapter thing....
And I'd be rocking it right now, except while trying to assemble the 2 parts of the battery thing, I snapped part of it - Worse, the part that holds it together tighter. Now I need a new one in good condition, or I need to superglue it together, & wrap some really thin really strong tape around the superglue area.
I wish James would have found out that the camera actual turns around.
It also works on the GameCube player as well.
I remember the Game Boy camera. It was a surprisingly big hit, at least when it first came out.

The Game Boy outlasted the Lynx and Game Gear for one simple reason. Battery-life. The Atari lynx and Game Gear were both powerhouse handhelds (Color screens and backlights) but that power comes at a cost. The Lynx and Game Gear took 6/8 AA batteries. That's a whole fuckin' pack, and all that power required a ton of power, so they'd last for like 2 hours until it starts to dim.
The Game Boy used 4 AA batteries, but its battery-life would last from 10 to 30 hours. The Lynx/Game Gear might have lasted a little longer, but then Pokemon came along and completely buried them.

the printer isn't just for the camera, some games were also compatible. for instance link's awakening DX (made for GBC) had a guy who took pictures after you find him

Fascinating, reminds me of using a game boy advance for the legend of zelda: the wind waker on game cube, tingle tuner is an item featured in the wind waker. If players happen to own a game boy advance and a game boy advance-gamecube link cable, then the player can take control of tingle. It was totally awesome. 😁👌

i would never get the older gameboys but i did grow up having the gameboy advance which at the time needed light and got a attachment so i could see the screen but then the gameboy advance SP came out and its the best gameboy ever to me had some of the best ports from the snes and i played them i actully still got my SP now but doesnt work like it used to and omg a sewing machine and crap i didnt know about them accessories

The Game Boy and a majority of their accessories were a big cash cow, and if any Game Boy accessory came to fruition the stores were like “SOLD”
