The movie was just non-stop fun. I loved seeing all of the actors who climbed on board with Burt. Looking at this amazing tribute Gator, made me realize how much I miss all of these people. Gator out!
Always love your comments! Thanks for watching! Cheers! Gator
This was not a great movie.
Bad comedy with some funny moments.
However, it looked the actors were having a blast filming this
This movie was as much if not more fun than Smokey. I cherrish these films as I was in high school when they were released. Made my childhood even better and wouldn't trade it for anything. Thanks Gator.
Right on! It's a blast! Thanks for watching! Cheers! Gator
His best movie
100% all because of the star power behind this movie it was like none other
As a kid this was super fun! Little did I know we’d never see fun movies like this ever again! 🤯🤯🤯🤡🤡🤡🌍🌍🌍
Right on! A total blast!
one of the greatest movies...woke Hollywood is too afraid to make something like this again unfortunately.
Totally agree. Gumball was awesome too. So sad we don't get movies like this anymore. Dammit I cant stop Laughing!
I have always loved this film and I will always love this film. I have watched this movie countless times and I still find the myself having the urge to watch it every now and then.
Must of watched this a hundred times brilliant film when you was a kid
This movie was epic, they don't make em like this anymore.
Loved this movie. I miss actual fun/funny movies.
The best intro to any film, ever.
I remember being 7 years old when my father took me to see Superman 2 on opening night while my older brother & his friend went into the next theater and saw Cannonball Run. I would have to wait a whole year to see the film on HBO, but when I did, I enjoyed it.
One of my most favorite movies of all time.
It’s awesome! Cheers! Gator 🐊
Despite my having attended a very elite and pretentious film school, Cannonball is still one of my favorite movies of all time. It still leaves me in fits of laughter after all these years.
A great movie! Been watching it for 35 years and never got bored. Better than For Your Eyes Only.
I love how you make these. They’re so hilarious.
Thank you kindly ❤️🐊
@@GATORMcKLUSKYreviews You're most welcome.
I always thought that Hal Needham had this idea for a movie and wanted call up his friends in the business and see if they wanted to be apart of it, I didn't know they all jumped in because Burt was apart of it.
But you can tell they all had a genuine good time doing this movie and why it probably was so easy to get them to come back for the second one
"The chocolate monk"....
Classic comedy from a bygone era sadly. Loved it
He can say that ...he can say that cuz hes riding around with the goodyear blimp 😂😂
@@martycan2203Dean Martin 😂😂 God bless him, in the sequel Cannonball Run 2 Frank Sinatra shows up and with Sammy Davis Jr literally making that movie the very last Rat Pack film
Great movie, enjoyed the hell out of this too!
proud to say that I was in Cannonball Run...I was on the Covington Square when Burt landed his plane to get beer, I was with the crowd of folks on the corner as the plane turns around {CZcams Cannonball Plane} which ironically was the same square where I was in the first episode of Dukes of Hazzard 1978 standing on the opposite side with some folks in front of the red store {Harpers Dime store} as the General Lee slides onto the square with Roscoe in hot pursuit {CZcams Dukes of Hazzard : Chase From 1st Episode} & where they do the 180 & go back the other direction & its the same general area {Jonesboro, Conyers, Lithonia, Buford, Norcross, Helen, Jefferson, Lakewood} where all of Smokey & the Bandit was filmed the summer of '76! Of course Gator was filmed just down the road in Savannah! It was so great to grow up in that era & to be a part of some history & as they say Smokey & the Bandit is a southern documentary not just a movie!
What state???
@@willardferguson7818 quote from Smokey & the Bandit - "this here's Georgia son"

Great Movies !
Awesome!!!!👍👍😎 Greetings from Helsinki, Finland 🇫🇮🇺🇸🇫🇮🇺🇸🇫🇮🇺🇸
Another excellent episode - thank you!
Thanks Charles! Much Appreciated! Cheers! Gator
Canonball Run is a classic. Siskel and Ebert never understood it.
This is more than a Movie , Its an adventure and a Hoot !
One of my favorite funny movies. It's a blast seeing all of those heavy hitting stars in one movie. I always have fun watching it, because they had fun. Good music too. Chuck M. is one of my fav. jazz artists.
Movies like Cannonball Run, Hooper, Hot Stuff (the Burt Reynolds movie without Burt Reynolds) and Smokey & The Bandit weren’t made for awards, they were made for entertainment & fun. The cast & crew looked like they were all just having a good time and making an entertaining film.
It’s was fun, because you can tell they had fun. I was 8 when this came out and I knew the appeal of it then.
These are so awesome.
Thanks for watching Kyle! Cheers! Gator
good doc.
12:13 could not be more true today
To this day, I never hesitate to answer the question of "What's your favorite movie?" with one answer - "The Cannonball Run." Full stop.
They neglected to mention one major cast member: the great Molly Picon, queen of the Yiddish theater. (She's probably best remembered as 'Yente' in the movie of FIDDLER ON THE ROOF.) She's the reason I saw this in the first place -- I was told she was playing Roger Moore's mother, which was a hilarious idea, so I saw it. I've loved this movie ever since. And what a cast!
"If they don't like me then they don't have taste".
Great review. I love this film, full of legends....can never decide if I prefer the sequel Cannonball Run 2 or this ????.
Gator, can you review 2 aswell please?? Thanks.
I certainly will... It's on my list of things to do for sure. Thanks for the support! Cheers! Gator
@@GATORMcKLUSKYreviews look forward it! That's a big 10-4 good buddy! 👍
The van used in the movie was the actual van used in the actual Cannonball Run by Brock Yates. (Oh. Wait. You just said it. Never mind. Haha)
Burt Reynolds are excellent actor I think what happened was somebody was just getting stupid back in the days and somebody was just trying to screw Burt Reynolds
I love this movie and all the actors in it I think it was a great movie you guys made we need more of those I got some ideas you need some but thank you for showing all this it helps with my history
Lemme splain something to the high-falutin' folks.
Americans don't measure the movie by what awards it won. No one gives a sh*t about that.
They care about who's in it.
This movie paired Mel Tillis and Terry Bradshaw. It paired Burt and Dom DeLuise. It paired the greats Sammy and Dean.
We also got a nice, albeit PG view of Farrah's pair. 😁
Academy.....pay attention.
All good points! Thanks for watching! Cheers! Gator
Slow applause
Where are the polaroids at czcams.com/video/b-5cYgZifqM/video.html 1:06 from? Taken on set?
Siskel and Ebert, two intellectual Boers, who are not that intelligent maybe it’s not the best movie ever made but it took a lot of troubles away from peoples lives for a couple of hours which is what they don’t seem to get and after all these years and all these people being gone who’s going to be remembered I’ll put my money on Burt Reynolds
Dean Martin: is that stuff any good?
The Doc: I don't know, i never tried it 💉🤪
Why did he call me shorty. Cause your small small, S M All.
I never paid attention to Siskel & Ebert they were jerks who hated everything fans enjoyed
But you also have to understand these types of films were not made to be good movies per se... they were purely to have a good time on screen and not something a professional movie critic would enjoy for arguably valid reasons.
Siskel & Ebert are correct about the film.
