I feel like they couldn’t think of anything and just wanted to do the video anyway. So they got the most random crap they could find the same day. Seem like chill dudes though.
These guys get a lot of flak and I'm honestly not that into the music but I had the chance to hang out with them for a few hours before a show at my college back in 2014 and they were both really friendly and genuinely kind to myself and everyone else. I was just getting into music production and Drew was super generous in giving a ton of great advice. Anyways, can't help but enjoy watching their success.
Everyone always says they only put 4 chords a song, which is true but the way they experiment and create these songs with just 4 chords is brilliant if you think about it. And the people that say that listen to hip hop lucky if they even have 1 chord 😂
