A 26 minute first impressions…ONLY ME 😅
After using this palette a few more times after I shot this veedeeo, I get the vision. For the mattes, their this on purpose to ensure, I feel, smoother blending. Becasue when it’s super pigmented, which might be great for a swatch, might not be ideal when you start blending shades together. Also for the glittery shades, they are drier and can serve as a topper. OR, you can wet them for more shine and longevity.
The layout also inspires me to use the palette. I appreciate that it’s random on purpose, becasue that encourages me to get IN THERE.

I am not a colorful palette person but something about this is different. It seems truly artistic and inspired by someone’s vision - not just a money grab. Shadows are beautiful.
This palette was my color wheelhouse back in the 80's and even sometimes during the early 90's. Nancy then would have so appreciated this watercolor palette. Nancy now is almost 62 and only goes as far as PML Divine Rose II Mothership or Nocturnal Nirvana. I've become a touch more subdued, I suppose...😉
I hear you Nancy! I'm an attorney, so my makeup is very neutral nowadays, but that color story made my inner child of the 80's heart beat fast! I think I need it
What I love about these shadows is how they layer texturally without muddying! I have the 5 pan Siren and it is beyond stunning and was a suprise for me. Such a beautiful tutorial!

It is a lovely pallette; I have it and I love using it! I feel like it brings out the artistic side of me; found that it is so so fun to use it. Definitely different from my PMG, NG or CT. So happy you liked it too! So excited to see what else Byredo will bring.. their perfumes are phenomenal too!!
Oh please can you do more videos about this palette? I really like the look of it. But its pretty expensiv and i really try to be smarter with my purchases. There are not many artists here on youtube doing reviews like you! And i love your first impressions/reviews when you are just playing and try out what you can do with "the makeup". I love that!

This is pow pow pow! The colors are interesting and different and give you so many choices. The artwork is stunning. I know I would be a person who admired it and would rarely wear it but it is still beautiful.
Look at that research into the background of the brand with visuals and voiceover. I'm having some serious flashbacks to my youth and a brand called United Colors of Beneton!! This makeup look was their esthetic and I wanted their clothes so badly but they were way too expensive!! Love love love how much fun you had using this palette!!

When you first opened the palette, I was not impressed, the colours feel a bit ‘muted’, but when you started to apply them on your eyes, oh dear God, it’s so unique, colourful but also grungy, I really think it’s you, not the palette. I just love your approach to wearing eyeshadow, I can’t really describe it, but you inspire me to just GO FOR IT, experiment, PLAY!!!
She is brilliant and definitely encourages me to experiment and remember to play 💕

When I first saw this, I was compelled...then I thought "would I really use it?" Then I tried to figure out "what's really going on here?" It seemed to me, but I can't tell, that while they made the palette look very punchy by distributing the colors...there could actually be a couple of comprehensive color stories. I thought there was a matte for each color way...but I really can't tell and so I kinda gave up. Then you went ahead and did a video - lol. I remain confused about what exactly is going on - but I love your painterly take - the yellow with that purple - not just the colors but the placement! As an aside, I really liked the light at your boyfriends place!

What a fun video. I literally didn't think anything of this palette until you started applying those beautiful colours. I love that you said it's no mercy and there's no hiding - totally agree. Suqqu and PMG provide enough colour for me, so I'll likely skip this but darn I wish I were the kind of makeup wearer who would get use out of this palette. I love the risk Byredo took with this, and want to support further creativity like this 😍🥰🥰

I ALMOST bought this on Cult/Selfridges the other night (when I was shopping during your live), but ended up deciding to wait (and get more Suqqu quads). And you got it! I still kind of want their "Corporate Colors" Quint, mostly because it mocks the idea of wearable makeup while being wearable makeup. Except I don't really like "wearable makeup" on my eyes very much. But I still want it and I cannot stop watching the campaigns for this as well. I wish I wasn't so fussy about perfume because I love the sound of their scents. But I'm so migraine prone. Just give me Jasmine, please. YAY Alicia to the rescue!
Courtney I’m with you on the fragrance. My senses can’t take it, but the scent profiles are beyond seductive. I mean, Black Saffron!? I can go on and on. I do still have the limited Diptyque Limited Edition Jasmine which still remains one of my favs. The pinky tones in the palette I think you will love!
@@aliciaarcher Sometimes I just read the scent profiles on Byreado. As a cook, they NAIL me, because the combinations remind me more of alchemy than perfumery. I so so agree. I'm watching now and have passed out and died three times over the packaging. I'm really loving Heretic's Dirty Jasmine. It's like Gap's Grass (which probably came out the year you were born, way before your time, but an iconic 90s scent) combined with Jasmine oil. No migraine or sensory overload and lots of sweet memories. Im going to watch more, but I've been staring at this since it launched and all the artistry behind it makes it more and more alluring. And the pinks!
I love colorful palettes and looks and I truly wanted to love this palette after seeing it. But unfortunately I just don’t, especially not for $100. Gorgeous packaging though!

I didn't pick up the palette because the color story isn't my style, but the packaging is gorgeous. I picked up the fragrance discovery set and one of the multi-use sticks... I am supposed to be on a lip, cream eye and cream cheek product no buy. 😳 Oops, but I had to try something!

I played with this yesterday! This is one of the most unique and inspiring palettes I’ve used in a while. The pigments are so good -I only wish the the packaging was more weighty for the price (like the lipsticks).
