The top one for the lock actuator also runs power seat and dome light when the doors open. I just had this issue and this video helped me pinpoint the problem on my 1998'. Very much appreciated... Everything works perfect now.
I just swoped them and they both worked ( I took my driver door off to replace the roller pin and my door lock wouldn't activate the actuators and just swapping them worked) and you did very well on this video, thank you
Excellent video. I just did what the below comment did: I took out the top silver fuze, bent the prongs slightly, put back the fuze and my door locks and driver seat adjusters worked!
Great to know. This helped me resolve the issue of pressing the door lock switch and the dome light turning on, with no door lock actuation and no dome light function. Once I fiddled with the top relay, the dome lights would blink on. After some cleaning and adjusting of the wiring behind the headlight switch, it all seems to work. Thanks for the video!
I fixed my locks by removing circuit breaker (top left metal canister), and twisted the two prongs about 20° to provide connectivity when reinstalled. This circuit breaker also powers the six way power seats which magically started working, and will stop the clickity-clack of locks attributed to a loose fit.
Hey i have an issue...dont know if anyone can help....i have a 1993 C1500. Windows always work fine at first.....after you drive it the windows (both) dont work at all . The "circuit breakers" you showed get hot as hell (burn your skin), after the truck sits for a while...windows work fine again......any ideas????

Interestingly, neither door lock switch will work on my '96 sierra, but using the key fob remote activates the function. :-l Coincidence; . . . manual door lock switches may have stopped working when I was trying out a solar panel trickle charger, plugging it into cigarette lighter. UPdate: It was the solar panel trickle charger plugged into the Cig'li'ter that blew the fuse and also coincidentally blew the fuse on the 'neighbouring' aux power plugin when I tried it the next day. Hmm maybe if I was to acquire a 15 amp diode to place inline on the positive wire going into the supplied cig' li'ter adapter which should restrict it so not to blow the 20A fuse, and still allow 15A to the truck battery.

Passenger side does not work at all. Driver side does and doesn't... When I touch lock is opens and when I touch unlock it locks. Passenger side does nothing at all

My 1994 GMC Sierra got normal Power Locks without the remote. I got the RPO Code AU3 in the Glove Box. My power locks work when I use the switch from the inside of the car but when I use the metal key for example only the driver door locks or unlocks. When I go to the passenger side and lock or unlock with the metal key only the passenger side is working. What is causing this. I cant think of what the issue could be🤔
I bought a 96 Chevrolet tahoe. It came with an aftermarket alarm system. I can unlock with controller but the door unlock button itself don't work right. Any suggestions?

..I have a '99 Suburban(like this one-GMT 400)...the power door locks frequently and randomly attempt to lock themselves.."clack-clack"...thankfully they don't succeed, but it's annoying and potentially a parasitic power drain on the battery. My question is, if I remove that top relay, will that kill the power door locks from working?..I'm totally fine if it does, since this is a work vehicle, and I don't use/need the power door locks anyway..in fact, I rarely lock it at all..I would like to resolve that annoying doorlock issue the simple way..by doing away with them...if I remove the top relay, will it effect anything else?....

I've changed my diver window motor and switch stopped working as soon as I give power to the window it will roll down by its self and wont go back up I bought a new window switch it will go up now by its self and not down now can u help

I switched the circuit breakers, but the locks still don't work with the lock on either door, only the remote. Any other suggestions?

Is that the same for the side mirrors to move? The fuse I mean. Or is that a different fuse?
I have a big issue my 98 OBS 2Dr Tahoe the driver side wont open I use to open it from Auto Unlock button now it doesn’t work so I’m screwed.
i had the same issue no power to power seat nor power door locks . Fuse 13 witch is labeled cig was blown replaced it and everything worked

We had this issue on out 97 suburban and I found that it was the cigarette lighter fuse that was blown. I guess this fues gives power the the switch
