I agree with you he’s actually riding a 2016 ZX1400 SE. I own that exact bike. He shouldn’t be on this bike giving reviews. He would know he’s not leaning forward because it’s considered a Sport- Touring bike. And it DOES do corners VERY well. I hope nobody based a decision on this review. He said he’s wrestling with the bike?!!!! That last thing you have to do on this bike is fight it…. This video is atrocious…..
This guy should not be reviewing bikes. I have owned 30 plus sport bikes and this bike by far has the smoothest power band awesome torque and I can easily drag a knee on this machine. This guy should review washing machines not motorcycles . he is an amateur at best
It’s a 2016 SE....matte metallic carbon gray....they handle great....I feel more confident riding mine as opposed to other bikes I’ve ridden. Positive feedback with the road on turns and extremely quick in acceleration...just an all around great bike.
I've got 2016 ABS SE also. I spent a year and a half researching bikes and going on many test rides before deciding on this one. It is by far the best all around bike I have ever ridden and good lord is it fast. Traction control has already saved my rear end from meeting the pavement twice and Ive only had the bike for a week. AWESOME bike.
Doa Nunya oh I totally agree with the abs saving face. When I first got mine I left the settings on the highest for traction. And left it in low power mode for a week. Then gradually got more use to it and the other day I was finally able to get full throttle from a dead stop. The comfort factor of the bike is unreal. And it handles corners great. Just be careful on hard twisties. On the right side is a bulge in the lower fairings. And you can scrape the lower fairing badly. Plus it’ll fold your foot pegs up very quickly before you know it. I’ve had mine for almost three years come this October. Never regretted it one bit. My previous bikes was a 2003 r6 and a 2006 r1 50th edition. This is the best bike for all situations. Not heavy at all like this guy says. That’s one reason I was nervous about getting me one because everyone kept saying how heavy it is and hates parking lots. But I don’t have any issues doing figure eights in two parking spaces. Just be safe and watch out for her split personality the 14r has.
I had one for 12 years then upgraded to the zx14r. They cover large distances, they are very very fast 320 kmh. They handle rough roads .I was advised not to lower my bike as it would affect the handling. The throttle movement is miniscule. The new R handles way better. Not at all like a 1450 cc.
Oddly when I got mine I felt it turns in very quickly. If I had to describe it in a word I would say : precise. But I think it really comes alive on the highways. In town it is very good, but on the open road it can stretch its legs and it really comes into it's own space. It will effortlessly get you right up to the borderline between fast and stupid speed, and if you feel like it, you can twist a little bit more and go right into the crazy zone. What's not to like?
Kawasaki isn't going to stop manufacturing parts for this bike or almost any other they no longer make.. ive never had any issues getting parts for anything unless its from the 70"s lol
I'm 6'2 and have been dreaming about this bike. My previous 2 bikes were Katan 600 and Katana 750. Ya the ZX14 is a monster, but I want the power and the ride height. Another that I have been looking and is the BMW 1600 but they are expensive. Should I test a 14R? I like the superbike but don't like the hunched over feel and feel this is my happy medium for power and ride comfort...
so much complaining lol. Its because #1 its a bike class you've never rode before so its obv going to feel night and day different. #2 its pretty modified. With it being lowered, its going to not want to exactly lean over in turns which will exaggerate how different it'll feel. The bikes are great at very different things and you didnt show it/get a chance to show it in this video. But i dont blame you, its a fkn monster. I was legit afraid of mine for the first 3mo I had it. I never went WOT. Its ok to admit you're afraid of it ;) Mine is lowered 1.5" and stretched 6" but i live in dallas, TX. I have no reason to lean much lmao.
Whole video in a nutshell: “this bike is weird, this feels weird, this bike is weird, jaja, jaja, jaja, this bike is weird, zx14, jaja, Bear cheetah analogy, I like European bikes”. The End.
What an awful review! I wonder how many times you used the word weird? You say the same thing over and over. We get it. You don’t like it. It’s different. But real info? Nothing! Waste of time. Did I say you are IRRITATING?
@Sam Wood Seems I'm not the only one who was disappointed. The real question is why this was even posted. Call it a review, or whatever, it stays a junk waste of time. Anyway, what's with you being so defensive? You sleeping with the guy?
Sam and Gwilym, the blogger isn’t an experienced rider. He seems to know one bike and that’s his. Experienced riders will definitely learn if the bike has different riding modes and ask questions about the bike they are about to ride. Therefore, they will have more knowledge going into the ride. The vlogger responds to his ride on the zx14 as if he has been a lifelong dirt biker. There is a definite difference in throttle response in a zx10r, zx14r, and even a zx6r to a dirt or enduro. This vlogger is just outside their comfort zone.
That is without doubt the worst review on youTube. You dont know what year it is, you did not even check what power mode or what traction control setting you are on. You drive down a straight road at crawling pace complaining about the throttle. Firstly when ever you swap to a new bike it always feels strange, bar none. The ZX14R handles surprisingly well. Check the reports from proper road testers. The fact that you think its a "Sofa" and is only good in a straight line says more about your riding ability than the bikes capability.
It's a different bike, its gonna feel different, and it may be bigger than ur bike. I have a 09 zx14, stretch blocks, PC5. I rode a 07 busa and, no PC. It handle funny to me and was slow.....but I wasn't use to it.
@@BibTheBoulderTheOriginalOne Yeah man I bet lol. Now that's a big difference. But my very first bike was my zx14. I took the class at a Harley dealership on a little 4 or 500cc bike. And went and bought a 14. Go big or go home as they say lol. Be careful out there.
@@BibTheBoulderTheOriginalOne Yup still here lol. I've rode a Busa, even a 1000....but I love my 14. Only bigger bike I'm getting next is a street glide or road glide for my grown man days
Busa has been the first fastest production bike on earth and will always hold this title. Zx14 is just a moody child with insecurities who decided to add a few more horses so they can call themselves faster. Busa doesn’t play dumb ego games and doesn’t plan to add a few HP and CC only to beat Kawi. Then Kawi will add a few more and then Busa will do the same and on and on it’ll continue till we have 25,000cc 12 cylinder engines that nobody can control and only play dumb title games “Busa killer” and Kawi killer”.
It was painful to listen to someone complain while making money riding a motorcycle. What a 1st world problem. What we he be like if he had to walk 6 miles to get water everyday...
I've got this same bike and hope I can bump in to ya on that twitchy, way over rated 1000. Ive ridden one and they are not near as smooth as the ZX. Getting blown all over the road on a small, lighter weight bike sucks. My ZX is not great at slow speed stuff but I can handles high speed curves on my ZX better than any cruiser I've ever owned and sticks to the road better than any sport bike I've ever ridden. I'd like to see you get stuck riding in the wind shear of a semi doing 80 on the Interstate on your little bike. No problem for my ZX but that little bike is gonna get blown all over. Maybe you should go out and get some experience riding before reviewing bikes. The "hillbilly" voice you used in an attempt to insult ZX riders was a pretty stupid move. I guarantee that I am far more edumakated (joke) then youun (another joke) are. Doctorate in Psychology. I have 35 years riding experience and have ridden and owned more bikes than you will be able to ever afford. Take your 1000 to the track where you will be able to beat the brakes off of my ZX. On the street though? Ill bust your ass on twists and the straights. As an added bonus, I'll be far more comfortable doing it than you will be on your bike.
Terrible review, it was so biased because clearly only a fan of euro bikes. I have 2018 it does it all well, he just never gave it a chance...Stay on what you like, nothing else would get a fair shake...
I own 2020 zx14 and its amazing this guy has no clue about motorcycles . Maybe you should do reviews on snow blowers.
I agree with you he’s actually riding a 2016 ZX1400 SE. I own that exact bike. He shouldn’t be on this bike giving reviews. I was surprised how good they handle, I had a CBR929 before, and it is almost as easy to corner
In a few months getting me a 18 or a 19 can't wait

Edit: last time I saw you you were 120 subs geez. You have something coming up.
lol trying to be consistent
This was the most complaining I’ve ver heard while someone riding the zx14
I agree. The zx 14 is the perfect do anything bike. I have owned a few. My favorite bike by far
Ever heard? Just in time overall.
Dude I'm sorry....but you're a asshole. Lol
Not you....but the complainer

Yea idk what he was talking about. The one I had. I remember it just loving to turn
why'd you go south instead of getting out into the county where you could've opened it up?!
the zx14 is a big powerful comfortable bike....wanna go fast itll do it, wanna go for a long haul itll do it, drag strip? done....
you will be able to get parts for a loooooong time :)
you will LOVE the bike!!!! do you live outside the us? I don't understand the concern for parts..

I think a comfort super sport style the zx14 and busa are very different than the k1600. Test drive anything you can is my recommendation
I have a 2018 ZX-14R, but I can tell you the one I really wanted was that 2016 se im that matt black color. Sick.
I'm from Brazil I have a fz07 I just signed up. I wanted to have the asphalt you have on the streets of the cities here sucks.
I’m 6’3, would this bike fit me the best or not really since it’s lower to the ground?
The bike he was on was lowered I thought, I'm 6'2 and have no issues on my 08 zx14 - gen 1 gen 2 not that different
This bike is lowered, you’ll be fine on a 600, my brother is 6’4 250 and he fits good on his 900
