Beautiful, realistic. Today we have conveyance to fly and visit our family. Wonder how on those day's people worked traveling from one city to another and has given us Historic Temples,Monuments and unbelievable statues of different sounds and showing their real Emotional feeling's. They would have not even contacted as now a days we have phone and other gadjets etc.. our Ancestors have worked so hard as such, we have to take care of all such priceless valuable works. Suggest usage of word "Moorthy" (or) "Murthy" (or) "Deity" will be more appropriate for referring "God" (or) "Lord" (or) "Bhagavan", because word "Idol" (or) "statue" means life less and hence seems to be not appropriate for describing Lord.

In Sanatan Mandir we have white marble idols. Not black stone. This Ram idol has very South Indian influence. Even idols of Ram lakshman sita will be black stone statues if made by Arun. This is like South Indian temple in north India. I resent that because South Indians do not speak Hindi or want to learn Hindi. And act like a separate state.
Having white idols would increase the inferiority complex North Indians have towards Europeans and lighter skinned people in general. This no doubt contributed in the past to the ease with which these types of foreigners with their relatively small numbers were able to conquer the place.
On the other hand, the black granite idol will reduce the superiority complex North Indians have over South Indians for their largely darker skin colors. And at the same time get South Indians to identify with a pan-Asian icon who happened to have been born in the north.. All good as far as I can tell.
Hey genius even Lord Rama didnt speak Hindi. Hindi came during the Islamic rule maybe during 12-13th century, whereas the Southern languages like Kannada and Tamil are as old as Rama's language Sanskrit - which he must have spoken when he was in the South as Lord Hanuman is from Karnataka.
Marble statues are resultant of Mugal influence. Ancient Indian temples always had black stone statues irrespective of North or South. All our Jyotirlingas are made of black stone. All swayambhu (which appeared on their own) vigrahs are in black stone.
विग्रह बनाने के लिए कृष्ण शिला /Granite को सबसे श्रेष्ठ माना जाता है। भारतवर्ष की पुरानी मुर्तिया या तो कृष्णशिला से बनिहुयी है या फिर पंच धातु से। कृष्ण शिला अग्नि, वायु, जल, दूध, एसिड , नमक सबका निरोधक है, इस कारण हजारों सालों तक इससे बनी विग्रह अटूट रहेगा। काले रंग के पत्तर में विशेष शक्ति रहिती है, इसकी पूजा करने से शनि दोष भी दूर होगा। कृष्ण वर्ण बहुत आकर्षक माना जाता है और इसके ऊपर भगवान के अलंकार बहुत अच्छे से दिखती है। भगवान की चेहरे की छवि काले पत्तर पर स्पष्ट रूप से दिखाई देता है। मूर्ति बनाने केलिए नेपाल एवं देश भर से पत्तर मंगवाए गए। लेकिन भूवैजननिक अपने lab टेस्टिंग के बाद 2 कृष्णशिला और 1 संगमरमर की पत्तर को चुने। जिस पत्तर से शिल्पकार श्री अरुण योगिराज ने रामलला की रचना की है वो पत्तर 3 billion साल पुराना है। जिस पत्तर में भगवान को प्रकट होना था वो दैवेच्छा थी। ऐसे कृष्ण शिला से बनी मुर्तिया भूरा नील रंग में होते हैं। इस मूर्ति को तेल में रखके काल बना दिया जाता है। तीनों मूर्तियों की रचना हिन्दू सनातन धर्म के शिल्पशात्र के हिसाब से हुआ है।
"South Indians do not speak Hindi" -- should not be a reason for your resentment on the vigraha. In many other parts of India, people do not speak Hindi. For example, my Hindi is worse than that of Arun Ji. However, my language is one of the six classical languages of India (Tamil, Sanskrit, Kananda, Telugu, Malayalam, and Odia) and there is no way I can get the same feeling listening to Hindi devotional music than compositions in my language from the 14th or 15th century. My language is more structured, has many words from Sanskrit, suddha, and has some extra consonants (34 of them). We have compositions called Champu, Chautisha, Chhanda -- which I have not seen your Hindi. I call your "Ram" as Rama - which is same in Sanskrit. We act as separate states because of culture which we want to preserve; but we have one national interest, make India great. India (more correct Bharat) is our country. We are not going anywhere or taking it away from you.We support every thing that helps in the building this nation. Why do not you guys learn Sanskrit if you do not like English? We will be happy to communicate with you in Sanskrit. In fact, your script is same as Sanskrit (Devanagari - we do not call it Devnagri or Devnagari). As we use different scripts, sometimes we forget and get confused with your letters. That is the reason, we often write Sanskrit verses in our alphabets and pronounce as Sanskrit.
Man - grow up! This is 2024 and be positive. India will become a great country by 2047.
