Guitarist Akira Takasaki tweeted about this cover: "Nemophila Rock!!", and Nemophila (and Saki) retweeted it. "Crazy Doctor" is from the band Loudness' 4th album., 1984's "Disillusion". (The band's name comes from the knob of an amp.) They are one of the great Japanese bands, and Takasaki has been a big influence on generations of guitarists, ranging from Yngwie Malmsteen, who praised his technique, to Asterism's Hal-Ca, and he's in turn been influenced by artists ranging from Ritchie Blackmore to Miles Davis. Loudness toured the US with Motley Crue in 1985 and performed with them in 2008 at Saitama Super Arena---a show I saw. They blasted us with "Crazy Doctor" then, and Nemo now.
Trivia: The first gig Nemophila had under that name---changed from "Mayu Session"---was at the "Metal Weekend 2019" event Sept. 14-15 at Zepp DiverCity, as opening act for Loudness on the 14th and HammerFall 15th. The event was in celebration of the 35th anniversary of BURRN! magazine, a Japanese publication that covers the rock/metal scene.

Saki's on a Killer. The Killer models are made and distributed by ESP but Killer is an independent company. Killer originated as a project by Loudness guitarist Akira Takasaki's tech guy (who was with ESP) to develop Takasaki's personal guitar brand. Hazuki is on the new Ibanez j.custom model that she's the official demo player for.

@@OldMrB Sorry I didn't answer your question. Saki has a signature Killer, but she's not playing it here, rather a Killer KG-Exploder. Hazuki''s guitar is not a signature model but she has endorsed Ibanez.
Hi Brandon at Saki's last count she had 10 guitars .The significance is that she is on Killer Guitars books and Akra Takasaki lead guitarist of Loudness started Killer Guitars the model Saki is playing is his signature guitar and his solo and he has approved Saki and Nemo's cover over on twitter already This song has had a lot of requests by fans over the last 2 years.Its very very good .

Yes, the Japanese band are getting popular now thaks to bands like you say.
That song was actually my first contact with Japanese metal in 1984. The whole album is a masterpiece and very likely the main reason, why I love Japanese metal so much. For me this really was a game changer, they had the speed and precision of Metallica and still were able to put out some fantastic melodies. Plus, Akira was just one of the greatest players back then.

Their Channel now has over 122,000 subscribers. There are so many great bands from Japan. With that said, there is something really special about Nemophila!
