My husband wants to take a paternity test, and I truly hate him for it. I regret having a child with him now.
I feel deeply hurt and disgusted. I went through a tough childbirth to give him the child he so desired, and now he's questioning my loyalty.
All of this is because of the malicious gossip from my sister-in-law, who has been making up rumors about me since we got married, trying to break us apart. This time, she succeeded.
What hurts me the most is that he has been the only man in my life, and I loved him deeply. I never imagined that love could turn to hate so quickly.
Every time I see him, I feel betrayed, and I hate myself. I think men shouldn't have the right to be parents; it's a privilege for women, and many of them don't appreciate the sacrifices we make.
Now I'm sitting here with the paternity test results and divorce papers in my hands.
And, as expected, he is the father. I hope he enjoys being a single dad and regrets what he said to me: "I just want to be sure, honey. You don't understand because the baby came from you."
I can't stand his lack of trust, and I won't sacrifice myself for him again.

I would if I could, AND for defamation by my brother! The only problem and obstacle in my way is that they are lawyers &/or married to lawyers and my brother (&his wife) are KC's. I believe the law is an Ass and they and the SRA and the Bar would all close ranks. I have learnt to walk away with my head held high and not afford them free rent in my heart or head.

My dad would always tell us that the love between him and my mom may have died, but that doesn't mean that he doesn't love us anymore. Of course, this is coming from the same guy who denied being our father in court, and in front of us, and has done so many things to us. But anyway, I buried the hatchet with him, and we get along well, we have our ups and downs just like any other relationship.

regretting having a child does not always even remotely involve a man. women can regret their children alone, or even in a loving relationship. it's less about the partner and more about the fact that infants and children suck and i mean they SUCK the life out of you and force changes that, unfortunately, society likes to sugarcoat and not tell women about. then they have a kid as society pressures them to, and lo and behold, SOME of them realize it wasn't worth it. wasn't worth the sacrifice, the bodily changes, the lifestyle change. some of them don't form bonds or love and that's why they end up in foster care. being real about the realities of how parenthood and children can really suck is the only way to reduce the amount of times this happens. including in unstable/broken relationships. kids are not bandaids. they make cuts bigger.
if parents decide to keep the child, sometimes it involves resentment and that's never good. at the end of the day, putting the kid somewhere where they will be loved fully and wanted fully is best. whether that be ONE parent and not both (my case, thank god my dad didn't stick around he would've made shit worse), foster care, or otherwise. abortion is sometimes the best if a woman is lucky enough to realize a kid won't work out in her life currently or ever.
Unfortunately, this situation has no happy ending. So, grieve and gather your strength and love and support your child. Get on with your life. It is far from over. You got this. You are a strong woman.

I tell anyone that date my son's. We do blood test DNA test. When it comes to having a baby around here, Thank God my older son is married and all 4 of his childten belong to us . DNA is not a unpleasant thing. It actually determines you rightfully belonged to a family. And is good to have all record. Don't be upset about it. You can't stop people from talking. When I gave birth to my second child, she had dark eyes and dark brown hair, later on My husband thought I had slept with this Latino handsome store clerk at the Quonset hut store on the corner, I told him, "What ARE YOU talking about ? " She looks just Like YOU ! " I was absolutely furious ! My husband had medium brown hair and his eyes were SO dark, they were almost black ! later on I realized he had been cheating on ME with our Gay Landlord, and possibly the guy's partner. Then when my Husband died his Mistress came up to me and told me that SHE had been with HIM up until his death; HE WAS BI he had told me at one time. But to come to the realization that he actually ACTED on his desires I was totally devastated, beyond words. I felt SO betrayed.

I’m so sorry. I had a very similar experience. Mine denied his daughter. She looks just like him. He was the unfaithful one. I’m still hearing stories of his infidelities.
As a woman, I think paternity tests should be mandatory before the baby leaves the hospital. There are too many dishonest women and men out there. It's sad but true. If it becomes mandatory the cheater rates should go down.

I'm very close to a young lady who was served with paternity suit papers when her son was a week old. She stood tall and proud knowing it was his child. He now pays child support and they share custody.

One day I told my husband to park at the hospital dock, to pick up boxes for us to help a friend who was moving. Well, Bob helped me take the boxes from the dock, to my husband's vehicle. The dad sentenced the child himself when he had no reason to distrust the mother yet he did. She's checked out emotionally according to this video. There's nothing there for her in that relationship.

Single dad I think refers to him being a divorced father. She never said she was leaving the child with him, though it could be possible because it is unclear. As women we KNOW the baby is ours. Men have to trust it's theirs. As a woman, I can't imagine how that feels. I personally would have just gave him the paternity test to put his mind at ease. I certainly wouldn't have let the sister in law win.

The trust is destroyed and can never be repared. The other person allowed themselves to think something about you that you find inconceivable. It rips the heart to shreds and cannot be repaired. If you really have doubts whether a child is yours, and you have legit reasons to think your wife cheated, get a dna sample from the kid without her knowledge(it is as simple as getting a strand of hair) and get the test done. If it turns out the child is your then you have peace and no harm was done to the relationship.

My dad left when my mom told him she was pregnant... She called from the hospital when I was born and he told her to go find her bd... I turned 23 and we met over FB..... He then made me take TWO DNA tests to prove myself mind you he had nothing I wanted and I'm his twin one test should have been enough... Long story short he passed without us Knowing or even liking each other.

My old man didn't deny me, but he did abandon me for being a boy instead of a girl.
He died when I was 4 and a ton of people denied I was his son....until my aunt said she knows I was his and well I looked like my aunt's child so despite DNA not being a thing in the early 80s, it was really obvious.
I can relate my x husband wanted to know who is the father of my last son oh how it made me mad and I took my 3 children and left him.But I was deeply hurt by his actions and accusations. I just cried

As a woman , I think a paternity test should be a part of the process of a man being listed on the birth certificate. What if your baby was switched at birth too. Even though you are innocent, there are a lot of shady people out there making a career out of using people…and we are most vulnerable in love and our emotions clouding logic. this just makes everything very clear. But I understand not seeing him the same knowing he couldn’t trust you.
but see it is a simple fix to get that trust back just prove he is and that will fix it. it really isn't that hard now i know you feelings might be hurt about the question being asked but love isn't with out its own pains. he would probably never question you again and it would get the nosey sister in law dropped a peg or two.

As a women, yes!!! I agree. I offered my boyfriend paternity tests before signing their birth certificates. He denied the need to do it (both baby's are the spitting image of him) but I respected if there were any doubts.

A lot of people here will probably gut me for this, but before you hand him the divorce papers try and work it out. Marriage is hard work and sometimes the tests are hard, but working together to resolve your issues will make it stronger and easier. Don’t let your enemy win and probably wanted to have this divorce happen. It’s not just you and your husband, but the child too in this relationship. Sometimes we act hastily when we can easily find solutions to our problems by talking.
I think every single baby should be testet when born. There should be a law about that. Every dad has a right to know that they are 100% the father.

So the baby comes from her, but before it was hers (since she states she has ONLY been faithful to her husband) this baby was his - it came from his loins; he had to give it to her so she could bring it to full term. My father's mother lied about my mother this way. Mama had 3 girls under 4 at the time and didn't have a car. So she asked him who, when and where? I had a MIL like that. When my husband died from multiple organ failure, he suffered from Addison's disease; she told everyone I was responsible for his death. To this day I cannot wrap my head around that. The night he showed me his feet, I immediately rushed him to the hospital. Turns out his feet were gangrenous and he had hidden his feet from me, always covered them in socks. I had no idea. But her bizarre accusation has always haunted me. She caused so many problems between us initially, it nearly caused me to divorce him. But with time she overplayed her hand, and he finally saw what a liar and manipulator she was. I never said it to him, that was just too controversial, but he eventually came to the realization on his own. She deceived him so many times he cut her out of his life. Family and friends, if toxic can cause irreversible damage. I hate to say it but I would have never married him if I had a preview of all the games and pain his family caused me and ultimately us. However I remained faithful throughout. But in hindsight it was not worth the decades of stress and anguish. I miss him but I do not miss the strife caused by his mother and family.

I had a paternity test done on my child. It came back I was the father. We had 50/50 custody, no child support owed, except I had to provide full insurance. I never told my ex what the results of the test was. She wanted to modify visitation so she could collect child support. I told her I would give the test results to the court for them to adjust the child support correctly. She said never mind. To this day, she believes that I'm not my son's father. However, I let my son see the results after he emaciated himself from her, so he knows and understands the entire situation.
Call a lawyer, give him the paternity and then he has to pay child support and for me I would never live with him again. Hopefully you have family near by to help you.

My second marriage ended because someone told him I was cheating when I never cheated on him. At the time, I was devestated. In retrospect, it was the best thing that could have happened. Financially, I'm better off without him. And I believe I'm happier now than I would have been if we'd stayed together.

He would have taken me down with him had I stayed. He committed suicide 25 years after I divorced him. I'm a great grandmother & I think it should be manatory for every birth be DNA tested!!! My youngest son died 26 yrs ago at 17. A 27 yr old man contacted me & my older sons saying he was my late son's son. I asked who his mother was & how she knew my late son & why just now informing us. I requested a DNA test & he rejected, but has spread rumors with my other sons' business accociates & employees causing a substantial loss. He also went to my other grandchildrens schools & work causing problems & fights. So now I am sueing him for a DNA test. I need to know if I have another grandson & a piece of my late son!! I think every birth should be DNA tested. If father is unknown a DNA sample taken of baby & stored for future references.

My friend and his father found out they wheren't related when they wheren't a dna match. When his dad was in the hospital the children all wanted to see if they could be a match for transplant. The results destroyed his family. Because mom cheated twice. And only 1 out of 3 was related to dad(the oldest). His mom won't tell who his real dad could be. He still loves his dad tho even if they not related.

It would also do to have a searchable database so women wanting to start marriage and a family with a man can check whether he has any genetic matches out there that would redirect his resources snd inheritance away from any children they might have together. I'd hate to think of any resources I'd worked to help build might be shared amongst another woman's children in the event of his death.
