- 1989 was a great year for television. We got long running sitcoms like Family Matters, Seinfeld and The Simpsons; a little bit of drama from Baywatch; some late-night talk with The Arsenio Hall Show and a slice of reality from COPS. It was also the year that one of the greatest American television programming blocks debuted. ABC’s TGIF, coming from the initials of the popular phrase "Thank God It's Friday", mainly featured situation comedies aimed at a family audience. Its original run featured several popular shows including the flagship and the one this video is about, Full House.

@@xXlyricaljewelXx Not quite actually! Bob Saget jokingly performed a sexual act on a baby doll. He claims he didn't know that the camera's were turned on and was viewed by the cast as well as some of the parents of the children on the show. 👶🤔🙄😮

I wish we got to see more of the Stephanie and Gia (Marla Sokoloff) storyline. I love that Full House pushed the squeeky clean envelope with Stephanie when she became a teenager. It was dope that the ‘bully’ or ‘conflict-of-the-week’ became a recurring character/friend of a main character. I also loved the 90’s grunge look the show gave Steph and Gia(and even DJ) during the last season of the show.

@@maryperry6573 I agree 💯percent. It's pretty bad when you have a reboot and you are literally rehashing storylines from your old show word for word LOL! I've only ever seen clips from Fuller House and have never watched an entire episode! The Olsen Twins now known as Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen have good reason for not wanting to comeback. Albeit there is actually a conspiracy theory in regards which sadly does involve the late Bob Saget. Remember in my comment above about Bob Saget and the baby doll? I won't say anything else!🤫👶🤔🙆

I think they believe reboots should cater to the gimmicky CZcams/Tiktok generation.
Its more focused on the antics then the storytelling.

Yes I completely also agree, I feel it was for me, the imaginative fantasy. Along with escapism out of my own. Broken childhood of abandonment, neglect, and so forth. Now older mature, and having been fortunately adopted by a wonderful loving mom.❤️🩹🙏🏾❤️🩹 I too see the true reality that the grass wasn’t and isn’t always or mostly good on the other side.

1994-95 was history making where other shows became more hipper and edgier to reach continuity to watch more mature shows. It felt they are winding down. I truly understand during that time period 1994-95 of Tv's.

Legit childhood memories a staple of my youth
I fully credit shows like The Simpsons, Married With Children, and Roseanne for ending the era of squeaky clean family sitcoms and showing the much more realistic dysfunctional families in a humorous way.
I only had this show on after channel surfing.
I remember seeing Candice Cameron was in “Some Kind of Wonderful”.
I watch this show on Hulu all the time

I use to watch thay show and the nonsense of some of the characters behind the scenes was ridiculous. Fast ⏩, 1 is extremely self righteous, Dave was a jerk to Alanis M., John Stamos wasnt great to Rebecca, Jodie 😮 just 🤔,Aunt Becky out here paying schools off 📴😂😂😂

I couldn't watch or stand this show. Loved all the other TGIF line up but the first episode I saw was when the little girl ran the car through the wall and really didn't get in trouble. I got pissed cuz my dad would have straight up whooped my a$$ over something like that. In all the other shows kids got in trouble, grounded and stuff. But this one was weird cuz they never really even got grounded. And yes I watched the whole series later on in life cuz of a girlfriend insisted that I watched it with her.
