    The embarrassment for United has absolutely NOT only been limited to this past weekend.

      It's the most embarrassing in the sense that they knew better than to celebrate, despite making it to a cup final.
      Being too embarrassed to even celebrate is a rare thing in sport.

    Embarrassing year for the PGMOL and the disaster called VAR

    • @WOOOPdoctorFROGhere
      @WOOOPdoctorFROGhere Před měsícem

      VAR isn't the problem. The V and A part are not an issue. It's the R, the stupid idiots sat in the analysis room who still seemingly haven't got the backbone to tell the ref on the pitch to take a second look. It's a fundamental problem with the rule makers of the game that they still think they might upset a colleague by telling them that they may have made a mistake. Having that clown Howard Webb in charge of it, the worst world cup final referee in history, is a big part of the problem

  • @ImanPirmo
    @ImanPirmo Před měsícem +1

    Gonna pushback on that VAR chat a bit. I don’t believe that it was ever sold as ‘we’ll get everything right’ - it was sold as ‘we will get more accurate decisions’. And by and large they have when compared to pre-VAR. I think it’s very disingenuous to suggest it was ever sold as some omnipotent refereeing which will never make any mistakes.
    Heard someone online the other date state that nobody is actually interested in better refereeing, they just want decisions that benefit their team. And this completely informs the football fandom discourse on a weekly basis

      @WOOOPdoctorFROGhere Před měsícem

      it's strange that fans think that pre-VAR officiating was fine. The referees were making wildly inconsistent decisions back then too. The obvious answer is that the officials are incompetent. It isn't difficult to find better officials, the video footage they get to analyse over and over makes it really easy to get to the correct decision, but these idiots still manage to bollocks it up every week

    PGMOL should be embarrassed, not Forest.
    Well done to Forest for taking it up a level. Shit needs sorting pronto.

      mate its mental.
      we all know full well that refs have made terrible mistakes since the game began.
      what evidence is there that the refs are trying to rig it so that luton dont get relegated? none.
      conspiracy nuts are everywhere now.

  • @Do27gg

    How’s it embarrassing for forest? Surely another embarrassing weekend for the officials

    • @NeilLewis77
      @NeilLewis77 Před měsícem +3

      yes the refs were shocking.
      but accusing them of trying to fix the league to save luton from relegation distracts from that.
      concentrate on their mistakes.
      criticise their mistakes.
      but leave the corruption conspiracy theories at the door.

    5:10 This is why it’s bonkers to me that VAR is not used in all football matches. If this was a Championship match - Coventry would have won, how is that fair/consistent

    • @wilseph1

    Why is it not OK for clubs to stand up to PGMOL. Enough is enough, all clubs and fans should unite to get rid of them. Ruining the game. Why should any club who complains be embarrassed?
