This report is to be taken with huge grains of salt. As an aware Arab I can assure you that we do indeed speak a common language as a nation but we don't understand or listen to each other. The result is a divided nation with no common vision , no common principles and no synchronized efforts. Everyone is more preoccupied with leading the nation rather than focusing on the common goal. All foreign powers have been exploiting this for decades and still no signs for changes happening any time soon.
What ever religion a state beliefs when this state possess each personal agenda who doesnt care for peace, unity , prosperity ,doesnt respect its others opinions,tradition, culture, theres always be conflicts.

Palki is a good journalist! I didn't realize that Iran was such a big threat to the Arab world in spite of having lived in the UAE for nearly 4 decades! I found them to be very cultured and hard-working individuals! The Iranian Hospital in Dubai has been operating for many decades helping the citizens of UAE with health care!
My understanding is as follows :
1. There is a fundamental difference between the Shia & Sunni belief system that is the crux of the problem.
2. There is a great deal of mistrust between the Arab leaders and Iran for some reason or the other!
3. The West is mainly concerned with safeguarding the Oil for their very own interests and creating division so as to sell arms!

Why do we even think Iran is such a dire threat in the first place? I mean it's a country with smart people and ancient culture... It's nice to see it coming out of sanctions gradually. I've talked with an Iranian lady recently and I understood that the situation is currently quite dire in Iran what with hyperinflation and everything. I hope things work out for them. I wish we could all live peacefully on planet Earth. Surely there's a place for a country with such rich and important cultural heritage as Iran, surely they can bring a lot to the table.

I agree everyone country should be sovereign and be respected because of their cultural inheritance. However, all this fund for countries to spend for aggressive behaviors and meaningless tactics are outrageously disgraceful to humanity as a whole. We live in one planet and should be on friendly terms in order to eradicate poverty globally and to respect human lives and not playing geopolitical warfare. Also coalitions should be made for all nations not for few. This planet belongs to all who believes in fairness, difference of ideology without violence and intrigues; as it should be communally and globally. Our leaders need to review and rethink their behaviors, policies and ideologies. Lately most of the leaders we are entrusting with our futures do not make sense and they are not good thinkers for example these organizations: NATO, UN, IMF, WHO, EMF and etc. Nevertheless, I do hope in my lifetime that great ideologies will override this dramatic time we are experiencing. As an American I can say it's always better to strengthen your militaries if possible and form alliances with countries that actually agree with you rather than some dictating the rest that way you don't have to be dependent on countries like mine and have to do things you may not want to guarantee your own security.
It is so tragic that so many woman, and some men, lose their lives this way after a break down of their relationship. It's such a waste, and so painful to everyone involved. That poor woman and her little girl. A little girl whose life has changed forever. Really brutal, remorseless crime. May those animals rot in jail for what they've done. You cannot compare a country (Turkey) which domestically produces its all kinda weapons and exports them to other countries to a country (Egypt) which imports weapons across national boundaries. Turkey is also a NATO member and must produce all the military equipments at the highest quality to meet NATO quality standarts and certificates. Egypt doesn't have that necessarity.
Honestly I still don't know why we need all of this in the world.
