ABOUT DO YOU COPY:
We work as a night watchmen in a place called Gracewind Park.
A place that is is known for people going missing in REALLY strange circumstances that
are difficult to explain. This has lead to a lot of rumours of creatures being associated with
those disappearances... Tonight we come face to face with that horror while trying to guide a hiker to safety. - Hry
Imagine this as a co-op game; one guiding the other in a randomly generated forest. How much would you trust your mate? Be fun as hell, I reckon.
that would be cool but very scary
Don’t write this in the CZcams comments, make it and trademark it
That's what Lethal Company does, in a different setting. It just released and has favorable reviews.
@@astralislux305 yeah I'm really enjoying that one. It's amazing with the mates.
@@r.u.s.t.659 I appreciate it, but I have zero idea how to even start. So if someone has the skills and patience to do something with the idea, at least others will enjoy it.
what i love about Fooster after watching him for more than 4 years is that whenever there's a sudden dialogue, regardless of what he's doing, he will actually listen to it and try to understand what the heck is going on in game, which is very rare to content creators these days. and not only that, him and the boys are actually RP'ing whenever given the chance.
thanks for spitting the facts
then again theres a panicking guy begging for directions and help and he just looks around looking at papers ...
@@CMDRunemattiFacts! 😂 You're fired, Fooster! 😂
He loves the lore of games, it seems he loves to really get into them and learn about what is really going on. Then in the same situation he walks by things or gets lost, panicks and isn't sure what to do. Fooster is great entertainment and pure fun in his videos.❤
It's the immersion 😂
The way Fooster decides to completely ignore tasks and satisfy his own curiosity stresses me out way more than what’s happening in the game 😂
Yeah his playstyle was so all over the place it drove me up the wall lol But that game looked really interesting.
I am really glad I wasn't the only one having a mini-stroke over this.
Side-quests spirit!
(There's a nuclear bomb exploding in the main-quest and you decide to look for some weird flower in the end of the map.
“You have one job: answer the radio.”
“Never answer the radio, got it.”
I was about to comment that I hope he never has to help me find my way to stay alive. 😂
The “one mistake” that the creature was referring to was actually telling you that you made an error in telling the hiker to take a right on the first trail, which allowed the thing to corner the hiker and chase him through the woods.
I thought it was because it was waiting on the left path and by telling the hiker to go right he avoids the creature?
what's so good about guiding the hiker is that there's really no way of knowing what's gonna happen, even if you take the most logical decisions and take him to the shortest path
This is exactly what I was thinking!!
I don't think that's correct. Fooster did it both ways, once to the right and once to the left. The creature called it a mistake when he sent the hiker down the right path, most likely because it was a longer distance. It had a different dialogue line when he sent the hiker down the left (and shorter) path.
Nah, the left/right path doesn't matter one bit in this game. The only choices that actually matter are: the lake/the mine choice, and which direction you take from there, and how you use the flood lights.
*Game is about communicating with a lost hiker to save his life*
Fooster: *Never communicates with the person.*
It wouldn’t let me 😂
On god I'm yelling through the phone😂😂
On your first two runs, you did not interact with the radio when he was asking between mine and lake.
I’m glad I wasn’t the only one, I was shouting about the flood lights also 😂😂
@@thefoosterchannelbrother you actively did not walk over and use the radio when prompted😂😂
I like how a hiker needed help and fooster decided to just look as some papers lol 😂😂😂
Right, if he is a park ranger at yellow stone I don't want him answering my radio calls lol😅😅
But now I know a few things for another game… 😉
That was giving me anxiety 😥
18:46 I had a heart attack
have you eaver played fears of fanthom its another game like this it is beyond scary@@thefoosterchannel
Very few horror games actually freak me out but this game just gives me chills the entire time. Just the thought of a malicious entity with enough intelligence to mimic voices and take pleasure in taunting its victims make my very skin crawl
Then you would hate wendigo's
also the dilema of wanting to help the guy but having to lead him to hiss death to save yourself
That's why it is called the Skincrawler.
A lot of stories I've read about skinwalkers and wendigos mention that the further away they sound, the closer they are, and vice versa. That always gives me the chills to think about. Hearing voices or creepy noises in the woods from far away and thinking you're safe, when actually you're in more danger than you realize.... Ugh! Gives me the chills!
By the way, it matters how long the flood lights are on to get the different endings, if its flashing or only on for a second you can get the goatman to do different things then when you hold it on for a while. Also there are 6 endings, 2 where you die, 3 where the hiker dies, and 1 good ending where no one dies
It's decent but not nearly enough content to make this game anything more than just a short tutorial.
@@Ole_CornPop Yes but mechanics like these are also used in the two sequel games and can be important, especially in a gracewood tail.
As soon as I saw the eyes looking at him, I knew the lights would lead it to him and the other tower was the way to save the guy.
Frustrating as hell too for him not to realize the radio calls are time sensitive and that the game is not going to just do nothing while he reads articles ignoring it...
@@DaMooKing can you explain more about the duration floodlight is on? What does the goatman do depending on each?
@@theblitz1687 I can explain a few, but you will have to either watch someone else or look at the fandom because I’m not going to list all the options. So if you shine it after sending the hiker to the lake then he will say I’m going to die out here which is when the goat man kills him, but you can draw the creature away by turning on your floodlights which will cause the goat man to kill you instead, but the hiker survives so it’s a sacrifice. After rereading the forum though it actually doesn’t matter how long the light is and I just misread it. The light in an all will change the ending.
I love how in a game about guiding a hiker to safety over the radio, he wonders if it's important that he answer questions on the radio.
Exactly. This guy is stupid. His popularity is depressing, but expected.
*NPC in a life or death situation*
Fooster: let just look around.
BUT I found something out by doing that 😉
My theory is the hiker talks to you for a bit but the creature is taking over at some point in the convo. It's all based on the voice. Some of it is intentionally hard to tell.
I really hope you plan on playing the second one! This was an absolute treat to watch. The second one is called Gracewind Tale, The Leed Murders!
I would just caution him, that the second game isn't like the first much, and he shouldn't expect it to play the same. The setting is about the only thing that carried over. I read WAY too many disappointed comments, on vids about it.
@@Jaybird196 yea your not wrong but it is still good in it’s own way too. But yea it’s not much like the first for sure.
@@thymrsir4127 Not trying to discourage him playing. More, just trying to encourage adjustment of expectations. That's all.
Game has tons of potential, wish their were multiple stories and people to rescue with tons of different dialogue! Also be to leave the tower with your rifle and go out on foot and look for the lost hikers and roll with those types of scenarios
I would love that
The new fears to fathom is basically another scenario of the same kind of experience. But it is just one and the fears to fathom stories are not as graphically inclined.
There's also Killer Frequency which has a pretty similar type of gameplay
and more characters with distinct but fun personalities and just littered with horror easter eggs@@GTSE2005
This game could definitely be reworked into something more immersive and complex, would be super interesting to see
This was freaking creepy. The fact that you have to listen to him taunt you is what would creep me tf out, and the way he speaks is terrifying. Hopefully there will be a bigger expansion in this, I really want to see a sequel to this.
There is a sequel to the game.

God I was screaming and yelling "Stop talking and pay attention to the radio" cos everytime when either the creature or hiker talk, you have to respond back to something because otherwise your gonna mess up
So...the mistake you made is assuming that the creature is "just" listening. No. You DO talk to the creature and the lost hiker. The objective is to guide the creature away from you and the hiker close to you. You gotta pay attention to the tone of vouce. The hiker IS desperate and really freaked out, while the creature sound calmer and angrier towards you and your wrong leads to him. I know you knda figured it out in the end, but just to reinforce that the creature was NOT just hearing or taunting you. It was TALKING to you!
Thanks for this explanation. I was having a hard time following what was going on.
@@amkessel2014 It would be infinitely easier to know what is going on if he wouldn't go read every little paper that exists only for fluff and nothing about the story actually being interacted with.
@@Nempo13 Honestly yes, it's something he needs to control in all his videos. If people want to read dumb bullshit fluff lore garbage about 12 hikers missing, they can pause. Reading aloud takes like 4x longer than reading it in your head. Literally not one single thing of value was in anything he read, you could delete all of it and just say 'hikers are going missing'. Four words that summed up what he read in 8,000.
@@fnhatic6694 different folk enjoy different things, I personally enjoy when people take their time to read stuff - obviously not to the point of actually ignoring the game mechanics
this one was TRIPPY, but I figured it out at the end too. idk how fooster did it but he did exactly what you said, confused the creature and guided the hiker. turns out that tower two was the right play after all.
I just don't know how he managed to throw off the creature, that's the part that I can't figure out. if you have the explaination, let me know.
Imagine the realistic side of getting Fooster as your guide. You connect to a radio channel for help while you're lost in the woods and all you hear back is the classic "I'm so stressed!" Haha Another great video
Very true
where can i get the game?@@thefoosterchannel
@@goose5935 steam
I would immediately start to scan though all other channels, if I don't get anything I'd sigh and start talking him though the stress.
I just did a quick look and apparently, there are two other games set in and around Gracewind Park - 'Do You Copy' (2017) is the first one, 'Midnight Shift with Lenny Motts' (2019) is the second, and 'The Leeds Murders' (2022) is the third.
The thing about this is if the creature can mimic voices and it's talking to you using the hiker's voice, then you have to assume it's also using your voice to talk to the hiker. Also, hiker may have gone bye bye earlier than we think. Really cool game!
This was pretty great. A different take where you trying to save a human but also trying not to die yourself. Having to really listen to dialogue and see if you can separate a lost hiker trying to survive or monster trying to kill you is a cool concept that hopefully we get more of that in future games.
Honestly, i wish there would be more "park ranger/park firewatch" horror games. Full of potential. You dont even need supernatural to make it scary, bears, big wolves and most importantly, weirdos in those woods would provide horror easily. If i would be actually talented to make games, i would make park ranger horror, ive had idea for it floating in my head for long time.
Did you never play the video-game Firewatch? 🤔
There is one. Fears to fathom level four is horrifying.

@fooster
The way the sounds and movement hint at things in this game, and the fact you only interact from a distance with someone else depending on you make it far more freaky for me than in your face horror.

It was sooooooo frustrating with you NOT answering the radio when you should have lol. There were times where you were approaching the radio and i was thinking yes yes yes! Then you turn to read a piece of paper or go back out the door to look outside lol. Good game though
You say “should have” like there was any key reason why I should have responded?? It wouldn’t let me choose apart from when there were specific responses that effected a certain area. I pointed that out a few times unless you have already seen this and you knew when to respond…
@@thefoosterchannel several of those were limited time window events
@TheGuyinoly I mean, who's gonna know if something in a game like this is a limited event if it's their first time playing it? If you want hardcore official perfection of the game why don't you watch a dev demo or something? Fooster did way better than I would have. 💀

The leeds family is the Jersey devil family, if im not mistaken. So to hear it being used for another cryptid ,gave me chills. This is a unique perspective . A very enjoyable view, to be the outsider looking in. Great playthrough.
Oh really!
@@thefoosterchannel yes I believe it's Mary Leeds her thirteenth child is the Jersey devil. Please read up on it. An amazing cryptid lore.

Leave it to Foosie to hear someone say they are being chased and instead of finding where they are he wants to know what is trying to kill him lolol love it
When I first played this and lost after guiding the guy while avoiding where those eyes are, It hit my head like "OOOOH It's following the hiker that needs help to get both of us(as the newspaper says that 2 of us died)" but its so impatient on the radio that it stole from that hiker's friend that it gave him away so I won the 2nd round.
This was a very interesting game, sitting in a tower and not the one wondering around in the woods, but trying to guide someone else from certain death is brilliant and scary at the same time lol, i love it.
Fooster! When he said he was taking a "RIGHT" it was HIS RIGHT. Meaning he turned into the woods, and got off the trail.
No no I think it was the other way around
@@thefoosterchannel lmfao
Me and my stepfather were hunting black tail deer a few days ago at a place in SW Oregon called Quail Prairie, which has an aptly named Quail Prairie Fire Lookout. The tower is sadly in horrible disrepair due to the utter neglect of the Forest Service. While we were hunting, there was a bit of storm going on with sporadic rain, hail, and wind. There were periods where the rain and wind would almost completely stop and things would be utterly silent... except for the creaking and groaning of the old fire tower, which was honestly super eerie. It's no wonder there are so many horror stories/games that want to focus on this theme.
Racks a fore end
It’s a shame it’s not a multiplayer game. One person in tower other person lost. Can you imagine Fisk lost and alone in the woods 😅
This was really good. One voice was scared and the otherwise more commanding, laughing, angry.
This is one of the most rememberable game I've ever watched someone play. The whole premise and everything was so good. I first saw it when it released on a CZcamsr channel I've watched for years. So glad you ( a CZcamsr I've only recently subbed to) is checking this out. Nostalgic!
I first was introduced to you when you played the evolution apes game. That was really fun to watch , I was addicted to that series.
This is not the guy to call for directions...
I think the best option is to say nothing at first so that way you don’t give away your location to the creature then try to guide the man to tower 2 ( im only half way through so maybe he did choose this option)
@followcb2fly Yes I have seen other gamers leading him to the other tower.
This was an awesome way to create a horror game thats not jump scary. Definitely some strategy to it and it keeps you thinking.
I’m pretty sure the monster or something is a skinwalker and when the guy is afraid it’s Actually him but when he gets calm I’m pretty sure it’s the monster mimicking him
Thank you for sharing your gameplay! When I first watched this gameplay a while ago, this game had me on the edge of my seat. It was terrifying! Seeing you work through the game and finding all the small details was very satisfying to watch. I’m glad you stayed and played out all the endings. ☺️ Seeing you catch on when you were able to distinguish the creature and the hiker at the end made me smile. Good job man!
Something that bothers me about these types of park watchtower games (Ironbark Lookout being another) is that they don't provide any proper security gates at the bottom that might atleast deter any potential trouble. Or a retractable section of the staircase.
I can understand that even if this is my first style game like this. I loved it though
probably reason why there isnt something like that is when fire hits, they need to get out as fast they can, so no time mess around ladders or retractable stairs.
They are fire towers. It’s not meant to be an impenetrable fortress, it’s there so you can spot said fire and evacuate quickly.
@@jordanwellbrock730So what happens if the local wildlife or a loony decides to pay a visit when you're asleep?
You won't be much help spotting fires then.
@@minicle426 there ain’t much to do in those cases. I’m not talking hypotheticals here, those towers are meant to leave as little footprint as possible so fortifying it any more would be detrimental. It’s a forest, not a concrete jungle. If you take the job you should know the risk. Most rangers or volunteers are strapped anyway.
You know it’s good when it starts with. “ I have never experienced…. “ ❤
