Solar Eclipse 2024 from Texas

April 2024, and I headed to Texas for the total solar eclipse.
Historically, the weather chances in Texas were most promising, but as the day drew nearer, the forecast didn't look promising. Too late to change flights or accommodation (at least for reasonable cost) I decided to take my chances with the cloud and hope for a gap.
