they were probably put off by how the characters looked ( that's how I started off when I first saw the movie on fx) but you get used to it.
I mean, these kids are too young or too far from the generation to remember the greatness of Western movies. Rango is a love letter to the genre.

@@jabaited I’m 16, born in 2007. I absolutely love everything Western related. Red Dead Redemption, Clint Eastwood, Butch Cassidy & Sundance Kid, Rango, etc.
It’s not that they’re too young, it’s that they’re too dumb.
Rattlesnake Jake was Puss in Boots' Death before he even was a thing and I stand by this claim
The great thing about this movie is how they made it. The actors weren't in a voice booth, they act out all the scenes in a studio, without motion capture suits on, and the animators basically their movements as references. W movie

Rango is peak fiction, Rattlesnake is one of the coldest characters, just look at him pure coldness
Rango is such an underrated movie, Johnny Depp always delivers
Another underrated classic is "Meet the Robinsons" that not too many people have reacted to from what I've seen

Great film and reaction! The character designs are so ugly but they are also super interesting. This came out in 2011 and the CGI still holds up. Another CGI film that came out that year is The Adventures of TinTin by Spielberg. Go in blind cause it's a treat!
