How long does it take to drive from Vancouver to East kootenays please?

We never drive straight. We always stop in Revelstoke which is a 6 hour drive non-stop from Vancouver (on good summer roads). It would be quite a big drive to do if one day if you were to go Vancouver-Golden (8hrs), Vancouver-Cranbrook (9.5hrs) or Vancouver-Nelson (8hrs).
