- You can compile assemblies together using any .NET language you like and combine them using any .NET language you like. In this video I create assemblies from C#, Visual Basic, and Microsoft Intermediate language and then tie it all together again using C#.
Thanks Jamie for making a playlist on one of the most important concepts in .NET
I can't believe that i just found out about your channel. This, and everything else is so well explained. Why aren't you my teacheeeeeer!??
But really, tank you sir!
:)
Share the channel with your friends!
Gotta say this is among the quality of well known cbt providers, awesome stuff!
Thanks, yes, response files. Getting to those. I like typing the command line out for those unfamiliar with all of the options, but yes, will get to response files eventually. Thanks again for your nice comments!
Usually I do no comment on CZcams but today is the exception. Your c# playlists really fascinates me - thumbs up to each and every clip! I cannot stop watching your clips, unfortunately I forget to hit the thumb of the previous clips, but I will catch up on it.
Thank you for doing the clips and Greetings from Germany!
Thanks Jamie. Extremely well explained. I will start watching this 26 videos Assembly playlist now.
Another good thing about you is that you go in depth about whichever topic you talk about. Lot of videos on youtube only touch the surface.
In Hinduism a proverb is there: Teacher is GOD. Because, everything in this life for our livelihood, knowing about GOD etc...we can learn from Teacher only. And you're proving that point to us...
Agree...
Great series! Thank you very much!!! You helped me a lot
Once again, Thanks for your nice work Jamie... :)
Incredible video!!! Thanks!
+Aleksandar Tomic Yes, no problem. Glad this video helped!
Really awesome videos. Thanks for posting videos on youtube.
For the benefit of any other programmers from Linux land: I've learned another way to make csc.exe (and presumably other tools) available is to use the Developer Command Prompt which comes with Visual Studio, by clicking Start / All Programs / Microsoft Visual Studio 2012 / Visual Studio Tools / Developer Command Prompt for VS
Yes, make one available in the path. I wouldn't worry about which one. If you type some code that won't compile but you know should, chances are there may be a newer version of csc that you need.
wow! please continue to make videos!
Thank you very much!
very nice tutorial , I'm want to see more about Intermediate language over assembly language and C# or maybe some infos, tutorials and docs ...
Can you do that ? Thank you. Regards.
No problem! How did you find this video?
Thank u!
Thanks, goog video, btw, You could also create the .rsp Responce file to compile the stuff (can hint in there all that You need rather than writting all the way those /r:... /reference..) :)
Thank you for these videos. As a 35-year veteran programmer (I started when I was 15), I want to see what's going on behind the scenes. I have installed Visual Studio Professional 2012 (using Windows7 under bootcamp on my iMac), but the command prompt doesn't seem to recognize the csc command. I seem to have 12 csc.exe programs on my computer. I assume I should make at least one available via my path, but which one? Or perhaps I should download something else?
just out of curiosity can you tell us why my cmd prompt shows C:\Program FilesMicrosoft Visual Studio 10.0\VC> , and if I type "dir" after this I thought I would get my project file that I created in visual studio but no where is it listed. I then went into vs and saved as to see exactly where the file is saved and copied that after the prompt and did a dir and it told me I did not have access. I than opened vs cmd prompt as administrator but that didn't seem to work. We need a starting point video on this visual studio cmd thing thanks!!
how you are able to write on the screen ? are you using a joy stick or light pen
thanks for showing me that type is the cat for cmd
Sir thank you very much..I found your channel amazing. Tnx for doing this. I will share your channel and what ever support you need. Just keep it going.
Awesome. Glad it's useful to you. Where are you located?
I am located in Serbia. I will support your cause in any way. All the best sir
That's pretty cool that someone in Serbia can benefit from my channel.
When I try the csc command, it doesn't work. Is there something I need to install to be able to use that command in the command line? (I use VS 2010)
+Renee Gl Make sure you use the Visual Studio command prompt and not just the regular one with windows.
+Jamie King ok thanks, Teach! 😀😀
+Renee Gl If you are using Windows 8.1 / 10 , a quick search for "vs" will bring up the correct command prompt. Anyway I am pretty sure you already found it.
why he didn't put in the main code "using MeCSharpClass", "using MeIlClass", "using MeVbClass"
where are the Assemblies useful? is this necessary to learn?
