If Baptism is just a symbol then why is it so important to do. Why does God command that we be baptized if it doesn't do anything for us. If I personally accept Jesus Christ as my personal Lord and Savior and I believe that he died on the Cross so that I will not have to suffer eternal separation from him. Isnt that enough.

If you haven't found an answer to your question, I think it might help to think of it like this, starting from your own words - if Jesus is your Lord and Saviour, we should ask what that means.
As Saviour, He has saved the believer through the cross, as you say, by dying in our place, and taking on himself the debt incurred by our sin. We can come before God not as separated rebels, but as adopted children by the blood of Christ.
What does it mean then that He is Lord? It means that we have submitted our lives to his rule, and that we do as He tells us in his word! He tells us that we should be baptised, and so we are baptised. This is a sign to those around us that we do indeed belong to Him - it marks us externally as a believer who has been saved, an outward showing of our internal salvation. When we are baptised into a local church (which is how we should be baptised normally!), it is an affirmation of your profession of faith by a family of believers, the church essentially saying, "Yes, this person is saved and is one of us!"
Hope that helps, and that if you've been saved by Jesus that you would truly consider being baptised into a gospel preaching local church. God bless you!

How are we saved by grace alone, faith alone and baptism alone? Those are 3 separate things...

Also I would like to add that Ephesians does not say that we are saved by Grace ALONE through faith ALONE by God ALONE.
It does say that we are saved by grace through our faith. And that we are not saved because of works. But it is important to know what works he is referring to.
Remember the Jews had many many laws and works that they saw as the law and these works were found in the Old Testament.
Some of these works or laws were things such as circumcision and not eating pork. Jesus taught that we are not subject to these laws because they were the laws that made Jews Jewish.
If you want to find Faith and works together in the Bible read the book of James. Specifically James 2:14-26. We are taught that Faith without works is dead faith and James shows us the Abraham our father in faith was a wonderful example of Faith PLUS WORKS.
I HOPE I AM NOT BEING DISRESPECTFUL IN ANY WAY I AM VERY CURIOUS AS TO WHAT YOU BELIEVE AND I STRIVE TO GROW IN MY KNOWLEDEGE ABOUT GOD.
    Thank You

Emmanuel Chukwuemeka Martin Luther added “alone” when he separated from the church...a true heretical figure for all of Protestantism to continue to follow today.

Emmanuel Chukwuemeka Martin Luther added faith “alone” when translating scripture into the German language. He also wanted to completely do away with certain books in the Bible because they didn’t fit into his idea of scriptural teachings. I also believe in Christ alone for salvation but that doesn’t mean that Jesus Christ didn’t have messengers and that He didn’t build His church for everyone from that day on. We must believe in the apostles that He set in charge of His church to be established. If we don’t do that then how can we say that we believe? 🤷‍♀️

Emmanuel Chukwuemeka no, believe in the truth that they too existed and walked with Christ Jesus. Believe that Christ gave them instructions for after He leaves the earth; belief that the Holy Spirit would guide them in the ways that Christ wanted His church to be until the end. We must believe or else we have no faith; only false lives.
