I have the Z9 and love this flagship! I will make the Z8 a second shooter (I currently have the Z7ii). Everyone should have more than one camera in their arsenal. Hands down, the Z9 is better and the Z8 isn't everything the Z9 is. (respectfully saying). Go, Air Force! I'm 24 yrs retired.

You are sooo right...(technically the Z9 is better). But that depends on your view point and need. The Z9 has the vertical grip, longer battery life, an extra function button, 2 CF express cards and also has a better feel in the hand(to me). The Z8 is lighter, uses the more affordable SD card but still has a CF Express card but also has 2 usb c ports, one for data transfer and the other for charging. So depending on what is important to you, the Z9 could be better for you or but also the Z8 could be better for you. By the way, i still have the Z9, lol. The guy that was going to buy it, backed out, which turned out to be a good thing for me, 😀 Thanks for watching! Yo Yo Yo!
I am on a budget. I think I am going to upgrade from my 5600 to either the Z5 or the Z6 three. I do landscape and forest pictures. I have had good luck with Nikon. You have more equipment than I do.
@@clearsailing7993 Great! The Z5 and Z63 are both great options! I love my Z5 but the processor from the Z63 is probably worth the extra cost if it’s in your budget. I also still love my Z72 with the 45 mega pixels, so you may wanna consider that one also. Too many good choices out there😂. Thanks for watching! 😊

Had a Z8 and sold it. Kept over heating, refused to write to memory cards, sensor shield sometimes worked, error messages for Nikon batteries ‘not compatible’. Pile of junk.
Never understood why they made it mostly out of thermoplastic, which is a bad choice for heat dissipation. They can absorb heat but are poor at conducting it. With metal it acts like a heatsink almost pulling heat away from the internals.
I have old Nikon batteries that work, third party, and new one. All batteries work perfectly. And never had it overheat. No issues with my memory cards and SD cards. Sounds like you had a faulty unit or made it all up

If you use case includes shoot long form video, the Z8 is going to be a challenge with it's over heating issue.

If all you shoot are forest and landscape, I recommend the Z7 or Z7ii which are both under the price of the Z6iii.

Highly doubt you’re on the level. Or maybe you got a faulty unit.
