@@the_lippmann I only wish I could afford to purchase the tool. Over 500$ now. If you are willing to rent it I will pay both directions insured shipping. The kicker is I am a locksmith but haven’t done any automotive locks in over 20 years but can still do it. Don’t have any of the fancy programmers
i didn't. i just bought new fobs and had new blades cut from the factory code (don't have them make a copy if you can avoid it - you'll lose detail on the key blade)
@@the_lippmann How did you get the code for the key to get it cut original? I'd prefer to go that route if I can. Another great thing you could include is the exact spec of the key you got (in terms of Mhz and what not...I've seen both 315MHz and 433MHz, etc)
not that i'm aware of. you can do some bi-directional testing but nothing fancy. remember the D@ was a bit old for the wave of cool new features. i think if i were to do it over again i'd have used the money i spent on this in conjunction with what i already paid for a separate autel for my other truck and picked up an even better autel. the user interface leaves a bit to be desired for the cost. but for LR specific scantool - it is the best.
@@the_lippmann I’ve heard the autel’s are nice. I could use that on my gmc as well. I rented a nanocom a while back to program a key fob, while messing around with it I noticed certain features like enabling the auto lock when you put it in drive but I was hesitant to mess with anything for not knowing about those. I didn’t want to mess anything up so I left it alone. It would be nice to activate certain things I know the D2’s have such as DRL.
I’m a dumb ass. I forgot about the 2nd page on the Nanocom to Sync my 2nd key.
Thanks for the info!
I do what I can
It works - Thank you!!!
glad this helped! i had to watch my own video to remember how to program a friends keys today haha...
Can you be specific on the eBay seller for the key(s) you used? I’ve had crappy luck so far
Where i can buy one of those nano computer and what model do you have
www.nanocom-diagnostics.com/
Did you buy that through a U.S. dealer? I checked and it’s only UK and need a valid VAT number. It looks like it’s around 550 USD?
@@jefffaust6270 i bought it direct. you can buy it direct as a US resident and not pay the VAT. it's on there - you can do it.

So this is programming the Land Rover to the key? And not programming the key to the Land Rover?
Can you turn on certain features of the vehicle with the Nanocom as well?

@@Bobby82568 yes - you can do those, as you mentioned. nothing there that was a burning hot must do for me, but to each their own.
