- It is with the heaviest of hearts we share with you all that our dear girl Faith is finally at rest and in peace.
She took her last breaths with her beloved Hope by her side, after a meal of warm BBQ chicken (her favourite) and us all telling her we loved her.
We are trying to find comfort in the small things she got to experience in her last months. But it isn’t enough. She deserved so much more.
She was a truly beautiful soul.
We will remember the gentle touches she gave us, that we feel privileged to have received and we will cherish every moment we had with her.
Faith, please don’t worry about Hope. We the farm family; human and dog members, are going to wrap her up in our love. She won’t sleep alone. She will always have multiple warm bed buddies to snuggle up with.
Honestly, Luke and I are really struggling with Faith’s fate. It is just too hard to accept. These last few weeks we have tried to keep it together for her. And I’m sorry we’ve been so distant and probably not quite our normal more positive selves.
Please give your dog an extra warm hug tonight. If you’re out there considering adopting a dog, please go for it. Don’t hold back. There are so many dogs like Faith out there needing a loving home to accept them for who they are and make them feel safe.

We feel like we need a little time to gather ourselves. Forgive us if we’re quiet for a little bit.
It’s a blessing to know that in the end she knew she was home.

As sad as her story is, her life ended on a high note because of your family. She got to experience love, trust and family. She got to see her daughter shaking off the bad past and starting enjoying her life. What your family does for the shelter dogs is admirable. Thanks for all that you do for the dogs and taking us along on the journey. The highs and the lows. I take my hat off to you.

I am so very sorry. Faith has suffered so much in her life and I am just so happy that she got to spend her final moments with such a loving family. You could tell that she was happy right up until the end. My heart goes out to all of you ❤

@@terrilaughlin1121 Not too sure about the "god" bit. It just goes to show that not every member of the human race is vile. She and Hope were very lucky, like many of the shelter dogs, to find themselves in the right place at the right time. It doesn't matter how much you prepare for death, be it a human or an animal, it still kicks you right up the rear end when you're not looking. Just Hope manages to cope which, with her dog and human packs, I'm sure she will.

Faith entered Heaven the minute she came to the Farm. The love and care both she and Hope received from all of you gave her more joy than she ever had. To have watched mom and daughter frolicking and playing in the pasture last week made it all worthwhile. I cry for Hope and all the Farm family and doggies for losing her so soon, but she is at peace now, hopefully playing with our Bo-Bo who I was lucky enough to have for 16 years. Sending all our love hoping it helps in these sad days❤❤

"To grieve, you have to have loved." Luke, Sam and everyone at the Farm gave Faith the taste of a life that could have been possible. The unconditional love that everyone (including on the Farm channel) gave Faith was quite inspirational. I'm sure Charlie Evans has met and welcomed Faith Evans, a new star in the night sky.🌟 Now running with her boxer bounces painfree through the stars.

Exactly. A few years I took a photo of an engraving on a monument in Canberra that said “Grief is the price we pay for love” & realized a couple of weeks ago those were Queen Elizabeth II’s words. Grief & loss are so hard, major parts of our lives, but they spur us on to live for those who don’t have that option. I’m so thankful to Sam & Luke for welcoming Faith & Hope to their healing home…two of the kindest & most compassionate human beings on earth…

I don’t care what any one says, letting them go is the ultimate in kindness. They would never want to leave us but when their very existence means suffering we need to make that choice on their behalf. It’s not something we would ever choose if there was any other way out of it. I have had many, many dogs put down and overwhelmingly after the suffering they go through it’s always such a peaceful release. They get sedation then just literally go to sleep. Being held, patted and scratched and reassured right into the ether.
It’s good you got the vet to come to Faith considering how frightened she was. I can relate about their pack mates feeling the loss. To me thats the hardest thing to watch. With their mates reaction to the loss. Any way RIP Faithy girl,you will be greatly missed.

My heart goes out to you both. When Faith arrived at the Farm, I was shocked at her condition. What on earth had she gone through to be so utterly terrified? In a relatively short space of time you transformed her life through love, kindness and understanding. Seeing her playing, coming to seek out strokes and pets and enjoying the doggy company made us shed tears whilst smiling. And now there is the knowledge that Faith will have no more pain, no more discomfort and that she left this world surrounded by love. Thank you both for your compassion and for taking the time to consider your followers.

When I turned on the tv today the news of Faith was the first thing I saw. I felt such raw emotion and sadness. I couldn't hold back the tears. Everything you said about Faith is what was going through my mind. How could there be such cruel people in this world that could cause so much damage to an animal? However, I knew she finally got to know and experience what real love and affection was and that she is now in a beautiful place where she'll never have another minute of pain. I asked my beloved Charlie, who passed over on December 27, 2017, to keep his eye out for her. I want her to have a friend as soon as she arrives. Dear Sam and Luke, I feel so sad for your loss. I'm so grateful the children have you both to comfort them. I know that Hope will be showered with so much love that with time she will be enjoying her days on the farm. I wish it was possible to physically send you all my love, but words will have to do.

I'm sitting here, watching this video and crying my eyes out. Not only for sweet Faith, but for every mistreated dog/ animal around the world. Most of the time I'm trying to block out whats going on and how cruel people can be.
But then I think of people like you, your love for the animals, your love for Faith and Hope and the wonderful time you gave and give them. Thank you, Sam and Luke for doing what you're doing, for investing so much love and patience in the dogs that come to your home. May God bless you abundently. Lots of love from Germany

When you took Faith to Emergency a couple of days ago, I kept saying “We love you, Faith”. I know she felt your love and I hope she felt all of ours. You gave her everything she needed-time with Hope, bush walks with the pack, warm chicken, medical care, lots of pets whenever she asked for them, never pushing it. She heard the sounds of playing, laughing children, she heard birdsong and felt the grass of the paddock beneath her feet as she ran in freedom. She was safe and warm. Now she’s over the rainbow bridge with a new pack, welcomed by those Farm alumni and Evans dogs who’ve passed before her. They’ll take care of her now. Sam, I’m crying with you for Faith and all the mistreated dogs of the world. It’s inconceivable how anyone could mistreat dogs, when all they want is to be with us, and to be there for us. I’m sending love and hugs to the Evans family, Hope, and the pack.

My heart breaks for Faith, for Hope, and for Sam and Luke. Seeing Faith's shoulder like that it is bittersweet knowing she is no longer in pain but knowing she deserved so much more. My heart is so sad and heavy, not just for Faith's passing, but for all the animals who experience needless pain and suffering at the hands of humans. Watching Faith's, albeit short, journey at the Farm, is nothing short of heart rendering. Thank God there are folk like you both, who give these dogs a 'voice', a safe and loving home. You teach them 'another way' and for that I am grateful. You let them shine in freedom, safety and surrounded by care, compassion and love. I am so sorry about Faith, but am heartened knowing her last months, weeks and days...she was loved beyond this world. You gave her love bigger than life. Thank you. Give Hope a hug from me.

Oh , I saw the title and the tears started. We knew this was coming but hoped there might be a little more time for the extra love & care you gave Faith. I know that you will care for Hope, and the family and holiday pack will too. I wish I could come and hug you all, just to remind you that you are loved and appreciated for all the love and joy you gave to Faith, and to Hope and will continue to do so for Hope and all the other dogs on the farm. They will look after you too. Take all the time you need to cry, say good bye to Faith, cuddle & spend time with the kids and the other dogs. My dog is busy licking my legs as I cry. Remember, though it was short, you transformed Faith's life from a dog who was terrified, to a dog who knew love and security and that is a huge achievement. Sending extra love to you all.

Her legacy is that so many of us around the world fell in love with her and saw first hand the traumatic effects of puppy mill moms and how it needs to stop. I literally have tears rolling down my cheeks. What you gave Faith is enormous. She knew, finally, she was loved and safe. Hope will certainly grieve, for a while, and find comfort in her new friends and forever family. In Hope, a huge part of Faith lives on. A very sad day. Poor Faith. Raw deal doesn't come close. Luke and Sam, I am as sure of this as of anything, even if Faith didn’t show her acceptance of your love as other pups may have, she knew that you were there for her in a way other humans had not been. For her, given her situation, this was massive. Rest easy in your hearts, even as they swell with grief, that you did right by her. ❤.
My heart breaks for sweet Faith, Hope, and all the Evans. I am so sorry Faith's time on the farm was so short, but she knew love and kindness during that time and grew from being a scared crouching dog to coming in for love and pats from you, enjoying the company of her dog mates. I watched this video at 4:00am MST as I held my sweet Aussie Shepherd Annie in my arms. Her heart gave out at 6:30 am. This video gave me some comfort in the dark morning hours. I imagine Annie being greeted by Faith in heaven and the two of them rambling around happy and pain-free. God bless.

I am glad that Faith was able to pass on at home as opposed to a vet clinic, and she is out of pain now. She had those that she loved around her. I too was worried about Hope and how she would handle her mother leaving her. I am glad that she is comfortable enough to seek out the other dogs for comfort and hope that she continues to do so. Sam and Luke, please know that Faith experienced more love and security during the short time that she was with you than she did in her prior life. Faith also knows that Hope is in good hands and paws. Take all the time you need to grieve and we're be here waiting when you return.

Thanks for taking the time in the midst of such a difficult and emotional time, to let us know that Faith has left you. We all knew it was coming but it never makes it any easier. Who would think there is so much emotion for a dog we have never met. But in saying that I’m sure that other s will agree, like all your dogs, it really feels like we know them and share their ups and downs. Following the story of Faith and Hope we have shared their journey and delighted in the small steps they made in letting their guard down and letting you into their lives. No one could have given Faith more love and comfort in the short time since her devastating diagnosis . Both she and Hope seemed to come out of their shells and gain confidence to join in with the pack, frolic together, and enjoy the big fluffy pillows inside. The pictures of Faith and Hope together at the end are beautiful. Hope will be comforted by the pack already lying with Freddo. Thank you both for the devotion and care you gave Faith in her short time with you. Take care 💝

Luke I have been at the Australian War memorial in Canberra today, and could not get you, Sam and Faith out of my mind. Your military past, Sam’s very soft heart and Faiths past history are weighing heavily on me. I know Faith had the best end of life after the worst life. Luke and Sam, you show us daily how amazing you are and your example of how we should treat animals and each other. I know you will take extra special care of Hope, but please take extra care of yourselves. We all need need you. You enrich our lives.
The hole and hurt they leave cannot be filled by another (regardless how many you have, they are individuals) but you have also placed a love in her heart that she never knew was even possible before and she will never forget. I've thought of Faith a number of times since I watched Luke carry her to the bus; I knew the end was near. It's good to hear Hope is finding comfort near other dogs.

Luke and Sam you did all you can to give her a good life even for a short time since they arrived at The Farm. My heartache watching Hope comforting her Mum. 😢 Faith is at peace now and pain free. She’s now playing with the Evans pack probably with my Phoebe and Grizzly also and of course god is watching them.

💔 Only 5 years old, and such a beautiful girl. We are just happy that she had the opportunity to receive such love and devotion from Luke and Sam, enabling her to experience a wonderful few months! Poor little angel 😢 Her whole life was unfair except the weeks she had at the farm, feeling safe & loved for the first time. It's terrible & unforgivable what happened to her (& Hope) but you guys made the remainder of her life exciting & worth living & that's something to be truly grateful for! A very sad day, and a not unexpected end for dear Faith. She at least had in her last months a home with sweet loving caring people who made her life so much better. Thank you Evans family for the compassion you showed Faith and I feel sure restored some of her trust in humanity. Sam and Luke I am so incredibly sorry for your loss of sweet Faith. I know this has been incredibly difficult and heartbreaking for you both; I'm crying along with you. I'm also so incredibly thankful for the love, compassion, and care that you were able to give her these past months. She left knowing what love was. Thank you for knowing her well and calling it when her quality of life was poor and pain level was too much to bear. Praying for you as you adjust once again to a new normal, and praying for Hope as she learns to be without her mom. I know of a few sweet angels who were there to welcome her to doggy heaven: Wal, Charlie, Riker, Flo, Mr. Yellow, and all the other doggies you have loved over the years.

Im so grateful that Faiths life was blessed by the rescuers and by the genuine love & family that Luke & Sam gave her. One of my favourite memories of Faith is when you first let her and Hope go in the small paddock and they got the boxer bouncies! It was pure joy! Hope is in the right place, with the farm, to help her overcome her past and her loss. Thank you for sharing and I think she was named very appropriately Faith: confidence or trust in a person or thing, she had that with you guys!
