The Gorosei didn't seem to have fought Joyboy, bcs during the awakening scene where they explain Nika's powers they seem to indicate they've heard and know of Nika but they themselves never met the Nika user in question.

If my memory isn't wrong, Rocks D. Xebec aimed to become "King of the World" by doing the most heinous acts in piracy that even Roger and Garp had to stop in the end.

If Sengoku wanted to keep the true events a secret… why even reveal it in the first place? Literally NO ONE KNEW about them. No one was asking about them. He didn’t need to tell anyone. And conversely, if the World Government wanted to frame Rocks as a villain, why erase him from history?
So either Sengoku himself was fed a false version of the story, or he’s biased. But I do not think this was a lie the World Government concocted because… well, the World Government literally doesn’t want anyone talking about it ever in the first place. They have no reason to come up with propaganda because they’re not even supposed to mention it.

The plan was to make Ace eat the nika fruit. When Ace meet him, it was late already anyways. But you are right in one point. When they met, Shank probably didn't know Ace was Roger's son.
What's more interesting is, how the hell did the navy find out Ace's bloodline? I assume, Garp somehow spitted it to Sengoku, like he did in water 7, when he said Luffy is Dragon's son. 😂

In Fishman Island, Shyarly prophesied that Luffy would destroy Fishman Island. We all thought that it would never happen but after listening to this amazing theory, maybe that might be what Luffy chooses to do. By destroying the Red Line, he would inevitably destroy Fishman Island therefore unflooding the world. My own thoughts:)

Since observation haki can somewhat predict the very near future, maybe Joyboy or some other "oracle" somehow possessed, at least briefly, such a massive amount of observation haki that they would have vaguely seen the future and what should be done to save the world?
This is some mental gymnastics and there could be other ways they would know what should happen in the future

Great theory! I Like how Imu is possibly pulling a Snape for the shared love for Lilly, lol. I think it's really possible though. For instance, back in Skypiea Arc, there was mention of 4 Gods. Now, this seems to take inspiration from deities of Aztec culture. I remember reading about how their were 5 different Gods that took turns being the Sun God. And after the recent chapter with Bonney, I suspect she carries one of these other 4 fruits that can also become the Sun God if only for a short period. After all, Luffy also doesn't stay in Gear 5th all the time; so possibly the Nika fruit just allows the users higher state of power to the other variants. Not to mention the Nika fruit is probably the one that utilizes rubber possibly.
So, I suspect their are 2-3 other fruits that can also achieve a Sun God state. My guess Imu has one of them. Now, in order to have Dawn, you need to go through the darkest part of night, but also you have to begin with Dusk. Dusk as in Blackbeard. I think what a lot of people have yet to put together is that, the old theory where BB is going to have 3 fruits. Which fruit is he missing again? Zoan, you say? And whose fruit did we just learn about was a Mythical Zoan? That's right, Luffy!
I think its possible that at some point Blackbeard will either steal Imu's or Luffy's fruit and become a Dark Sun God. If it's Luffy's, then Imu will somehow sacrifice himself to give his fruit to Luffy or if it's Imu's, Imu will find a way to create an opening for Luffy to achieve victory later (very much like Snape had helped Harry).

Imu did not know Lily was part of the D clan till Cobra confirmed it to Imu. So I dont think Imu is a mole or helping Joyboy's plan indirectly.
This really makes sense, Imu secretely being a good guy implies that he will not be the final villain. The reason why Imu is not desperately chasing luffy and actively trying to kill him, might be because he wants to help him, just as you said. Contrary to Rocks' case, where the governmet and Roger pirates allied to prevent Rocks from taking over the world, protecting Imu and JoyBoy's plan. I believe, that's why Vegapunk tried to warn the world about some traitor among the D Clan, that inherited Rocks' will to conquer the world, yes Blackbeard, I'm looking at you. Who will try to bring down the world government, doing what Rocks couldn't, and making him the final villain of the story.
Every step of the Strawhat's way there are Roger pirates guiding them... Shanks sent Luffy off, Buggy validates the strawhat wearer's Destiny, Crocus Guided their crossing, Rayleigh prepared them...

My idea is that the ancient weapon may have caused the sinking, not because it destroyed a large number of islands, but because it created a grandline. If you think about it, this is a huge thing that took up a lot of space where the ocean used to be. Thus, the water level rose by 200 meters.
Perhaps the appearance of huge holes in the ground after using ancient weapons increases the grandline!!!

Guys, I have the best one piece theory abt syrup village: remember syrup village? The black cat pirates? You know how they docked at syrup village at “dawn” see where I’m going with this? We know that puffy will bring a new dawn on the world and when the black cat pirates docked at syrup village they arrived at dawn and puffy is there and guess what? I have a feeling that the black cat pirates are like the world government and luffy is defeating them and bringing a new dawn on the world or in this case: Syrup village. So that means luffy not only saved the village but brought a new dawn to the village, and this all happens at dawn. And when Captain Kuro said his plan abt killing kaya and making everyone believe he’s the good guy is EXACTLY how the world government works. They pretend their the good guys but ruin everything, and the night before the “new dawn” he attacked merry and also said something very important: (only in the manga) “nights like these bring out the beast inside me” EXACLTY HIW THE WORLD GOVERMENT IS, because the great elsers said it is time for the great cleansing, which is probably soon… but when it happens luffy will be there and bring a dawn on the world by defeating them and imu AND THE GOROSEI SAYING THAT IS LIKE KURO MAKING HIS PLAN FOR THE VILLAGE AND KILLING KAYA. See, syrup village is more important then u guys think.
Theory:
Only the Sun God Nika can open the OnePiece and the other Pirates including Roger's crew are still curious of what it really is despite having been to Laughtale. So they are actually just waiting for the next JoyBoy to reach Laughtale and steal the OnePiece.

I've only just thought of this now so it's likely someone else has already covered this, but I'm wondering if Imu wasn't the one who used the ancient weapons excessively to flood the world. We of course haven't seen most of the One Piece world, but it's interesting that we've only seen two holes in the ocean thus far, one of which being Enies Lobby and the other where Lulusia used to be. We know the sea has risen ridiculously high over time, and that these holes in the ocean wouldn't be simply filled up each time an ancient weapon is used, so why haven't we seen more holes across the world? What if Pluton/Poseidon also are able to raise the sea level, but in different ways that don't leave holes in the sea? It would be very interesting if Joyboy's faction were the ones to flood the world even more so than Imu and the World Government.

Joyboy was villanized by the Ancient Kingdom and by the 20 kingdoms. He jeopardized their way of living and control.
He convinced Vivi to turn against the kingdoms for the hope of a better future. One where the dawn shines equally for everyone- Giants, Minks, Fishmen, Sky People Lunarians and Humans etc.
But the trade off is that Joyboy would have to give himself up- just like Roger did. Before doing this he sets his plan and Poneglyphs in motion. Before this the Will of D and Devil fruit wills were not known. But Joyboy tells the world that he will return and the will of a new Dawn will never be stopped.
The ancient weapons were more than 3. Each race had a Supreme weapon or power that was passed down by blood or will. All but 4 were lost throughout the years and turned into fruits.
The three remaining weapons and whatever power Imu holds (or maybe even the gorosei if they are not fruit users).

I can't imagine that shanks STOLE the nika fruit. Why would he be so respected from the world goverment and even imu lets him Talk to him/her after stealing/betraying them. I think Imu is on the good part in the history because they know more about the incoming catastrophy than everyone else. And shanks is partly on the same side as imu but he probably follows a middle way.

rogers plan surely could be real, it does fit how the story played out... his request to his crewmates being "shanks will provide a starting position for my upcoming child (a young pirate) and will 'mark' him with his strawhat, help him in his adventure"
shanks adapting the plan to luffy would make sense after he ate the devilfruit. after all his whole crew was surprised when luffy had eaten it (feels more like the surprise of its power in action than to see the effect - sounds random, but thats what it feels like to me in the manga...) especially since the chest it was contained inside has a lock (one integrated into the chest itself, but no key... possibly luffy lockpicked it with his fork?^^).
in addition, as shanks said himself in makinos bar, that they were roaming the seas (and possibly island) around the windmill village for around a year and that they would soon move on => they possibly couldnt find rogers offspring as they couldnt just go and ask garp where he hid them... they possibly only knew that garp was from the east blue, but had no more information?
through the sudden disruption to the plan, shanks had to adjust and absolutely didnt intend to sacrifice his arm, but his absolute priority must have been to make sure that luffy who already ate the devilfruit HAD to be able to move on w/o any handicap at all, so shanks accepted his loss...
and thus shanks crew immediately left dawn island, as the plan had been set in motion, likely moving across the grandline and informing rogers old crewmates on the way about having "marked" the target and what the persons name was, likely as well that it wouldnt be rogers child.
and him visiting whitebeard and the gorosei to smooth out the path for ruffy would make sense as well... possibly whitebeard (having been a rival and friend of roger as well) had known about the plan as well, which is the reason why he absolutely wanted ace on his crew to protect him) hadnt got enough intel yet, so shanks was updating him and telling him that he should help luffy if he ever got to meet him - otherwise he wouldve been just some random snotty pirate brat to whitebeard...
joyboys plan? yeah, it can make sense, like toki making sure a member of the kozuki would be guaranteed to be around at the time when the next person with the nika-power came...
i could easily believe she travelled only months or the like at a time through time to ensure "yep, kozuki family is still around, i can move further" until that families size grew rather small and everything to its continuation would be up to oden.... thats when she stopped moving forward through time cause she felt she reached a point where she had to intervene and support the survival of the kozuki clan?
surely makes sense and could very likely be how it all played out!
