      I agree. You shouldn’t have to pay for prison. I’m against prison altogether. Criminals should either be fined, beaten (whipped), or executed.
      But if we are going to have prisons, they should be self-sustaining. Why should a criminal get free food, housing, electricity, plumbing, etc. at the expense of law abiding citizens? Put them to work.

    • @InanisNihil
      @InanisNihil Před 4 lety +6

      facts...
      consider 51% of americans said they would not vote for anyone with not afflicted with Christianity.. especially atheist...
      and i believe it was 76% of Americas "wouldn't mind" creationism being taught in the education system..
      so .. that literally means.. half of americans openly acknowledged they vote based on their religious faith...
      if not.. then why did half say they wont vote for a non religious/christian affiliated person...
      so it shows.. like what u said... that americans.. at least half of them.. only care as long as its in favor of their ideology...
      now imagine if creationisms got into the schools.. for one that would be Church and State.. not separation...
      this would have a massive effect on how people will think and believe...
      if u start adding religion in to schools.. where will it stop.. more and more people will be educated with religious mind set... and these people will go on to vote.. so that 51% that only vote christian... will increase more and more..
      thus more and more laws polices etc on both state and federal level will start to look more Christians...
      think of it now.. the states that passes abortion bans.. the punishments are pretty insane and severe..
      u have trump and his supporters ok with homosexuals allowed to not be hired based on nothing other then like buttsec with another person of the same sex... thats almost old testament like levels of insanity..
      so they way i see it there are 3 players...
      the right/republicans/conservative.. the party of Religion... vs... the left/dems/humanist/secularist/secluarhumanist religious people...
      ones really for tradition and christian ideologies in state and federal levels.. while the others against it and ultimately leads people to not being so traditional and fervent about it.. basically more and more casual about it..
      while the 3rd player.. the player all about the GREEN... dont care about any side... are free to do what they want cause the other 2 parties are at each others necks...

      @InanisNihil Před 4 lety +3

      @@mic6434 its not the whole country.. also putting urself first is not a bad thing.. u literally cant help anyone if u cant help urself.. despite public opinion.... humans in general are pretty emphatic.. butt at the end of the day.. we all have struggles and we have to get out own house in order before we can get someone else... america is full of organizations that prove people actually care for each other.. even if people cant physically take part in them.. they still donate...
      the big issue is.. voting... when it comes to voting... we just vote for what sounds good... and every year.. we fall for the same shit.. thats the problem..
      humans overall make decisions based on emotions... well vote for a candy shop own who says he'll give us sweets yet wont vote for say a docter who wont let us eat unlimited sweets cause it harmful to us...
      basically the docter is saying "regulate sweet intake.. do it responsibly.." yet we in our brains.. interpenetrate that as... "he's gonna ban all sweets...butt i love sweets.. hes a bad person.. lets vote for the clown with the cotton candy"
      humans are nothing more then animals that have to ability to think they "arent" animals therefore "smart"...
      and this is why we are fking dumb.. because we dont think we are or can be dumb.. only other people can be dumb...
      which is why we are dumb..

      Yes, it's called Community College and it's for those that didn't take High School very seriously or those that simply can't afford insanely run government universities today. Those who took High School seriously...you know...studied their asses off...didn't party every weekend...made sacrifices...they should be able to go to college because they EARNED it.

      No one on the left disagrees with that but free college is just a subsidy for the rich. It should be set up in a way where income is not an impediment to someone attending college.

      1) rich kids will probably go to elite private schools anyway. They won’t be using tuition free, public colleges. And even if they do,
      2) rich kids parents are probably paying for most of universal college anyway. Why shouldn’t their kids be able to take advantage of it?
      Dumb argument. At best, they are “subsidizing” themselves and break even.

I suppose a lot of kids drop out of flunk out of hopelessness in knowing they'll never be able to go to college anyway and a HS diploma isn't much different from not having one these days. Many just don't see the point from the start and they're kids then and usually from hard backgrounds so you can't blame them for feeling like they're set up to fail from jump.
