This is interesting timing. I was just flipping through the pages of my copy of Siddhartha by Hermann Hesse, trying to decide if I want to read it again. Steppenwolf is good too. Hesse is a an excellent writer, very smooth. It's been probably fifteen years since I've read Steppenwolf. I read Siddhartha in my last couple of weeks before HS graduation. Then I forgot to return it to the school library. I must have one really large late fee, lol. Anyways, thanks for the breakdown of Steppenwolf.. it's hard to remember them all ...some books really stick with you and some don't, for whatever reason.
