Looking good so far! You have a lot of systems put in place to expand the game nicely already. Been wanting to see more game genres with a tibia style movement, so can't wait to see how this turns out.
Thanks! Indeed so far I've been focusing on all the systems and I haven't shared even a fraction of them yet :) I'm really excited about all the fun stuff that will be available in the game.

Suggestion: I think it would be really cool to make visibility a core gameplay mechanic. Unlike in Tibia where you see everything on your entire screen, there could be obstacles like walls and big rocks which obstruct vision. And I mean it on dynamic basis, so exploring an area lets you "remember" the terrain but you never know who's behind the corner. This would add suspense to PvP and tougher hunts, especially if you plan to introduce skillshot abilities (do you risk shooting/blinking into the unknown?).

Hope so too! Once Act1 is complete I will take a proper look at the graphics. Hopefully I can find a pixel artist to join the project, otherwise I will just have to properly learn PixelArt myself :)

@@gonzalezruben8503 Using AI for graphics (especially pixel art) makes them look really cheap. There are of course good use cases for AI (e.g. static sprites, background artwork, initial ideas) but AI at this point is pretty much useless for anything animated as it only generates one sprite, not a bunch of sprites that would constitute a whole animation.
You clearly took some inspiration from PoE for the itemization and I love it. Keep it up it's looking like a good mix between Tibia and PoE.
Thanks! Yep Tibia and PoE are by far my two favourite games so indeed the itemization is mostly PoE inspired. The key thing I dislike in PoE is the super RNG-based crafting.
Crafting in Talus will be much more deterministic :)
@@Kusnierr As it should be, I also hate PoE crafting because of how many mods they've added over the years and how RNG it is, I think most people hate that aspect.
@@gonzalezruben8503 Yup indeed, that's why I'm designing the crafting system with less RNG in mind.
Next Devlog will showcase crafting as it is mostly already implemented so make sure to check that out :) probably in 2-3 weeks.
The game is looking pretty cool.
So even with the basic graphics is like a Diablo 2 meets Earthbound.

Great game concepts, looks like a lot of fun. Is it going to be multiplayer? PvP?
Not to start with. Going to be a offline single player campaign style game. Multiplayer might get added in the future.
It looks like a lot of the old games on byond games like BoE, mystic journey, or seika. Some of those games used old tibia sprites too and are from early 2000s. Among us actually ripped off a game from that site too called space station 13. I loved those games but they would often have the servers shut down after playing for a few weeks and you would lose all progress. I may have to give this game a shot for the nostalgia feel to it.
Awesome! The graphics will change a lot before release, perhaps something akin to Stardew Valley. Either way, won't be aiming for old school graphics by release time :)
Anyways, this will be an offline single player game, so no worries about servers shutting down as there wont be any!
Can i know which programming languages I can learn to do games like this?
Hello. The game is written entirely in the 'Godot' game engine using it's custom GDScript programming language.
In addition to this you will likely need to learn some piece of software for making art. Personally I am using 'Aseprite'.

kiedy bedzie mozna zagrac w jakas bete tej gry?
Na ta chwile dokladnej daty nie jestem w stanie podac bo jeszcze gierka gotowa nie jest.
Mam nadzieje ze bedzie cos w stylu 'Act1 Demo/Beta' jeszcze w tym roku. Pewnie kolo listopada. Ale zobaczymy jak progress bedzie szedl.
A taki full Early Access release najwczesniej pod koniec 2025.
