There's a lot of historical men's outfits with skirts that were fashionable, like the Scottish and Roman. I wonder what a modernization of a legionary style would look like. Maybe a jacket would look good

What's interesting about historical sewing is that for most of history men and women dressed very similarly, in either diaphanous robes like the Chiton or the very basic Shift undergarment.
The only difference often being the length, really, and accessories. Even early Kirtles and Tunics are similar, and up through the 1700's boy children and girl children were dressed the same through toddlerhood. 🤷🏻♀️
So a revival of men wearing skirts and other loose robes seems timely. ☺️
Especially in a time of Fast Fashion, actually. 🤔 One thing I have noted is that skirts and dresses with pleats and gathers allow for fluctuating weight, so I am more likely to wear them again and again for years, which keeps me from having to purchase a replacement garment.
I hope that the wearing of skirts also allows for comfort for you in the same way, so as to last you many years to come. ☺️

looks sick! when i saw the skirt i thought of a completely different style/sub culture--maybe emphasising the the amorphous, long, flowy-ness with a long, loose cardigan (smthing im sure you can find in an op shop) and a simple t-shirt (maybe black) thats tucked into the skirt; might be more comfortable in the summer heat ahsdkashdka; this looks amazing tho, keep going, the beard is really great as well -nga mihi from new zealand

Hi, Brad! You seem like a lovely person. This is the 3rd or 4th video of yours I've watched in a row. I love what you're doing. And I have to say, this is the best skirt so far. But I've always been a fan of long skirts.
Anyway, one of my grown kids is non-binary, but looks masculine. They have a beard and usually wear masc/neutral clothes, but they like "girly" things, too. I appreciate that you're helping normalize just wearing whatever you like.
