    Well those Japanese 'bolts' from 10:50 on are actually rebar (reinforcing bars) for concrete, threaded at the ends for screwed couplers. Actual bolts don't have ridges (deformations) to grip the surrounding concrete, and bolts would be straighter (slight bends don't matter with rebars).

    • @cr10001
      @cr10001 Před 2 lety

      @@wesleygeorge3882 Yes. Those huge 'bolts' at 10:50 are indeed fake.

      @cr10001 Před 2 lety

      @@anthonyj7989 Well, from 10:53 to 13:20 definitely looks like rebar to me. It certainly has the ridges of 'deformed bar'. And one way to join rebar is with screwed couplers. And no-one would call it 'bolts'.
      At 13:20 a whole new process starts with a new batch of 'raw material' and *that* is what ends up with the flat-twisted end and the nut and washer as rock bolts (and, so far as I can see, no deformations).
      No reason why a factory can't make more than one type of steel rod product :)

    • @keithammleter3824
      @keithammleter3824 Před 2 lety +1

      They are not real bolts. Check out how the left one is suspended above the floor. It obviously isn't heavy. A steel bolt and nut that big would weigh ~120 tonnes. The one shown on the flatbed truck would wreck the truck - such trucks cannot take anywhere near 120 tonnes. These "bolts" are some sort of display prop made for a trade show or the like, to catch the eye.
      There is no point in making a nut that big - the spanner to tighten it would weigh well over 120 tonnes.

    • @jimwilloughby
      @jimwilloughby Před 2 lety

      @@keithammleter3824 , I think you're right. I never noticed how light the straps are, both suspending one off the floor, and the other one on the truck. I never thought they might be for display at a trade show.
