Bolens DGT1700

This is my newest tractor, it is a diesel! (DGT=Diesel Garden Tractor) I forgot to mention that it also has a 3pt hitch.

Funny how you wait til the last second to reveal it was not a $150 tractor because you had to buy an engine. Still a nice unit.

Getting the starter hot is not good . Dont let the starter get hot . Check the glow plugs to see if they are getting power to them . That is important that they work . Then check the compression for low pressure and then check for fuel pump pressure . Then check for injector pressure . If all of those are OK then it should start right up . You my want to wait a little bit to let the glow plugs to warm up a bit before starting .

I have the GT2000. It’s the same mower with a shitty old 20hp Kohler gas motor. I need to replace the engine, and do some hydraulic work to it, but it’s a beast! I just wish I could find a new mower deck for it.

that motor is done ! its only running on two cylinders !

I wouldn't even start it till i had a new radiator and any other fluid leaks fixed ! it would be a shame to damage it further.....

you cant buy a new radiator for it.

dude the pervious owner did 90% of the abuse to it. When I bought it it was sitting outside with the head off and cylinder #2 had a spun rod bearing.
