- This year marked the return of the first full-scale Oscars since the start of the pandemic, meaning we had a full red-carpet of fashion to enjoy. And the stars pulled out all the stops when it came to giving us a much-needed dose of glamour.
We were treated to a whole host of beautiful couture dresses - from Atelier Versace (Lily James), to Chanel Couture (Penelope Cruz), Armani Privé (Nicole Kidman), and custom-made Valentino (Zendaya). Then of course, there were the glittering jewels, courtesy of Harry Winston, Chopard, De Beers and more.

Yes to the dress. But the hair was very ordinary. Maybe a casual upsweep with some loose pieces and some ear sparkle would have given more ooomph.

The stunningly vibrant texture and color of Lupita’s gown does not overwhelm her exceptionally beautiful coloring! Indeed, she energized the intensity of her gown.
that's because she's black, the gold material/texture actually make her skin even more beautiful.
Lupita was an absolute vision. Like, she already was the Oscar statue, she didn't need to win one.

@@Aurora-qn2dx Zendaya's after party look in the tailored suit with the leather tie was much better in my opinion...but Lily James outfit wasn't giving me life as much as people in the comments are making it out either, it was very safe/pretty but def not a Rihanna fashion girl moment either.

Jessica Chastain has always been one of the best dressed in any award show. I literally didn’t like some of the above mentioned dresses in this video. But Jessica’s dresses are always so beautiful. Her fashion sense is impeccable!

Olivia Coleman looked old And frumpy. Lily was beautiful. She almost always looks fresh & feminine. Never see her in that box Maggie G had. Embarrassing!

Beautiful, but waaaaaaay too busy. Coco famously said “before you leave, look in the mirror & take at least one thing off”. She could have dropped that busy, beaded halter, the buttons AND the earrings.

Zoe reminded me of classic Audrey Hepburn, and Lily’s dress was out of this world dreamy. Lupita amazing as always. Agree totally on the top 10!

Lily’s dress (and the shoooooooooes) is arguably beautiful but it kind of reminded me of a very expensive and uncomfortable nightgown.
On the other hand… zendaya’s simply stunning, I love her dress. Not boring at all, but classy non the less.

Zendaya looks amazing because no matter what she wears she is stunning, but i don't think this was a particularly amazing look. It's basically a sparkly skirt and a cropped shirt, which she pulls off perfectly but it is not special enough for me, for this occasion. Lily's gown is ethereal, flattering in all the right places and in combination with the shoes, the new hair color, the accessories and the makeup, she looked perfect. Formal enough but also soft and romantic without being over the top. She wins for me

For me the best was Jessica Chastain. Her hair matched the color of the top of her dress and it faded away to lilac (like ombre).
Even tho lilly looks beautiful, i think the dress reminded me too much of a nightgown. It wasnt just oscars chic tbh. And zendaya looked modern chic but yet… idk something wasnt quiet matching and idk what that was.
I also liked penelope cruz because the dress was not tooo much but also not tooo sporty. See the outfit of zendaya was modern but yet it was so sporty. Penelopes dress was just a good one for an event like the oscars.
