Red Wings fans always travel well. We love our hockey team. I do miss old Joe Louis Arena for home games though. Little Cæsars Arena just isn’t the same. There’s a reason the Red Wings and their fans got the nickname “Hockeytown” after all.

@@a.grimes4202Nobody gave Detroit that nickname but themselves. The Illitches created a great strategic marketing ploy trademarking “Hockeytown”. I’m from Detroit and a big Wings fan but let’s be honest, it’s not like the NHL officially appointed that name to Detroit & the Wings. Personally, I have a love-hate relationship with it.
Man, cross checking Larkin and slew footing Raymond at the end of the period? What I wouldn't give for a Probert on the team. Nice to see Gudas get what's coming to him in front of the net though :).
We could have signed Gudas though instead of Holl I think.

We do, But Kostin's been injured the last few weeks.
@@zacka45 The last time one of our guys did something he got a 6-game suspension, and our fan base was more upset that Perron retaliated against the wrong guy then seeing their Captain unconscious face down on the ice.
Red Wing fans need to remember that it's Detroit V Everybody and start defending their players that retaliate against this type of stuff.
Until then, why would any player step up into the role of "face puncher"?
Yeah that's one of Detroit's biggest downfalls. We have no tough guys. We also don't have a big hitter
Love to see those types of celebrations by the boys. Larkin tackling Perron in celebration, Lyon giving Rasmussen huge respect on that game winner. This type of energy and morale will bring more confidence and wins.
Good game I was there sea of red and white jerseys we definitely took over So cal. Let's go wings! Duck fans mad at the rasusman goal saying he kicked it. I said no kicking motion, you can redirect the puck with skate period, however a win is a win.

Don't know how you manage to do this, but thanks for putting these highlight vid's together, as they're a joy to wake up to each morning . What a west coast swing it's been thus far for our Red Wings! A sweep of the California teams which hasn't been done in 16 year. They're looking better and better all the itime. Were it not for Anaheim's goalie and the multitude of power play chances they were awarded by the ref's, this game would not have been as close as it was. I'd argue the winning score should have been 5 - 3 or 6 -4, as Lyon made a few unbelievable saves himself.
I don't know why some Ducks fans say Veleno's goal shouldn't have counted. They show it go directly into the net and tuck behind the post. As for Rasmussen's goal, the motion he made with his foot was done before the puck hit it. The motion wasn't made on the puck.

Osgood is getting so much better as a color guy. I love the Detroit announcing team. No one will match Mickey and Ken's chemistry, but Osgood's goalie analysis is very fitting. Thanks again Awood!

On Zegras second goal, why the eff is Copp skating around the back of the net after just being on Zegras? Guy seems lost almost every shift. Cant pass. Cant stick handle. Poor decisions. Blindly backhands pucks into his own slot.
I wasn’t a fan of that signing last year, and I feel worse about it today. He’s a 5M dead weight most nights.
It might just be me but Sieder needs to get meaner and so does big Ras, you can’t let a goon like Gudas ruff up your stars

This new Annaheim strategy to injure the opposing stars is pretty effective. Hopefully other teams can start using this strategy. Goal scorers are really hard to stop, but they can't score if they can't skate
Please steve y get some tuff players in the line up to protect are players so tried of see them get cross checked and slewfooted. We need kocher and probie type players

Why does the league never suspended anybody when someone cheap shots Larkin. It’s always dumb minors. I could list 3 examples of times there should have been suspensions. I have a theory is that he is a good player but he’s no mcdavid so the league doesn’t protect him.
We're starting to get players similar to the legends of The Playoff Streak.
Next person we get in that vein needs to be similar to either Probert, McCarty or Kronwall cause need an enforcer/goon!
When you play the highest penalized team in the league, you will have cheap shots galore. Vattrano must have been dating someone in the box since he made multiple trips. We could use a goon. Not sure that’s something you trade for. Great sweep of Cali. Edmonton on Thursday in our barn 😬
Some of the worst calls I’ve seen in awhile between the whiny Kane call and the delay of game that was not a delay of game my god has the officiating been bad against the wings lately
The delay of game was the right call, like it or not. I think it's a stupid rule but until they change it, they have to call it
I totally agree on the delay of game call. He went to hit the puck down and it ended up deflecting up and out of play. It wasn't intentional!

When someone takes a shot on goal and the puck had no chance of going in, yet the goalie stops or catches it, is isnt a "save" Daniels it's a "stop".
