Honestly, it’s not really that surprising, but I guess it’s hard to associate him in that way? Like, I don’t see him as someone super hyped up 24/7, but I kinda just see him as a sarcastic, laid back, but kinda stressin’ type of dude, if that makes sense. He kinda reminds me of Dahyun in that fashion, like she’s seen as fun loving and extra (in a good way) but she and the rest of Twice have said she’s actually pretty reserved and quiet in real life.
Lol yeah pretty sure there's a video titled "Proving Jae is the normal one" lmao… I think it came out at a time when the fandom was already thinking it lol
@@oncefortwice1389 oh most definitely!! he's either more of an introvert than an extrovert or he's just naturally quiet but can sort of turn the "hyper switch" on when he feels like it (or if he needs to bc he's doing a broadcast or something).

Jae is an introvert, especially around strangers. He's usually the quietest one out of his band.
Around stranger, wonpil is the quietest. Wonpil is more uncomfortable around strangers but Jae probably is the quietest if it'e just him and his fellow members.
For me Jae looks so quiet when he speaks in Korean but when he speaks in English..... Uhmmm *CHAOTIC.*

Vivo Y53 He has said in the past that he’s more introverted than extroverted. I think he’s definitely a lot more confident talking to people in English and a little shyer in Korean, which explains why he’s not very vocal on variety shows and stuff. But generally he’s not as loud as people first assume him to be, he’s a lot more chill and reserved than he appears.
i'm not surprised that jae was quiet when eric first met him. jae is an introvert and he's kinda like me where you are awkward around new people, but when you get to know them, you are more open.
just your average multistan same here once I know the people are good then I become a chaotic mess. When people first meet me they all think I’m sweet and innocent then they get to know me and know I curse a lot

I've seen a comment saying that Jae is probably the most chill and reserved out of the Day6 members and honestly I agree with that. He seems so calm compared to his band mates haha. That being said like everyone, he has his crazy moments and it just makes him human. Stan a legend :)

i wish the people who still only see jae as a meme guy, who only know the loud side of his, would actually do some research before jumping to the conclusion. jae can be loud, indeed, and he loves to joke around with people he's comfortable with, but he's usually a quiet person when it comes to big companies, to people he doesn't know that well, or when it's a company where everyone's REALLY loud and extraverted (like in hwaiting show, you could really see the side he doesn't normally show in day6 or on twt or on jaesix or wherever). jae's a wonderful human being, wise and thoughtful, and there's way more in him than just the "meme side". please stop saying that you can't even imagine him not being a walking meme, because he's not. as a myday, i can tell you we're very upset that you can't see just how much of a gem he actually is.
It's kinda like how Jackson said once he wishes people understand when he's calm that's still him lol… he explained smth like he's hyper when he plays with his friends and he loves that but the serious side of him is still him… I think the more the fans grow and gain life experience the more they'll understand that. Most hyper people aren't hyper all the time and all of their sides make sense together.
Also… I'm a MyDay but I'm not really upset about it, I think it's natural if you only see crack videos of someone lol. I just wish people would understand it's natural to be both calm and hyper and don't have such exaggerated reactions when they encounter him calm yaknow? Cause that's just weird and if he saw it he probably wouldn't feel pleasant? Like I said in the other comment this is just how humans are. Most of us have different states we can be in, maybe all of us tbh, and most hyper people, especially if they don't have ADHD or such, have both seriousness/calmness and the meme, hyper side to them and it's all _them,_ it all makes sense within the same person, it's perfectly natural.
And I agree he is wise and thoughtfull! Like, there's a difference between smart, intelligent and wise. E.g. someone can be smart but neither wise nor intelligent. I've been thinking lately about how Jae is wise lol.
That time when everyone expects jae to be this hyper kind of guy but turns out he's a more quiet one. Then we have time where we expect younghyun to be the quiet one but he turns out to be one of the loudest in the group.
