She danced that really well but my god what is that song choice? Some couples really get done dirty by the music they're given. This was one of the best opening shows in strictly history.

@@DollyLocksable How do you define a celebrity? I haven't a clue who all the soap actors are but it doesn't mean they aren't celebs. To put it in perspective, Saffron gets up to half a million views each day, always at least a couple hundred thousand and often much more.
For a week 1 dance I thought she did rather well :)

It was amazing!! usually everyone’s is good week 1, that’s how you know if they’ll go far. If they’re not as good then you know they won’t last as for dance1, they get weeks and weeks of practice unlike next week.

The most underrrated dance of the night, from the public.. the fact that she's a social media star and apparently has a "fake exterior" really took away from the choreography and how insync she was with AJ. Her footwork was phenomenal for week 1 and twitter for one completely ignored that aspect of her dancing. Her body contact with AJ was again underrated as it's rather difficult and gapping is always an issue with ballroom dances. She was my favourite of the night and AJ did wonders with that god awful non tango song.
I 100% agree!!! They deserved more than a 27! It was smashing for week one!
Sonya R the likes of wiggling the arse distracted the shallow public.. they had a simple tango routine to a rather anti climactic pop song but they still shone so well. Her hold is amazing I think she's going to nail the other ballroom dances she is so good.. I hope AJ keeps up the choreography.
@@megan5529 You're so right, on point observation! I really do feel AJ is crazy motivated this year and he won't rest till they make it to the finals, hopefully the judges and the audience allow them a fair run!
I feel so bad for her as the public have already made up their dinosour aged mind before she's even took a breath. I hope her fans vote for her like they did joe, I would love to see her do all the dances.

Brilliant performance, tango isn’t an easy one to start with and it was difficult choreography so I think saffron was incredible!

First time I've ever found an AJ dance memorable. Really liked it, and it would have been even more amazing and fierce done to trad tango music.
You didn't find his Salsa, Charleston, Quickstep with Claudia memorable? Plenty of people have them down as their favourite dances of all time!
And to add, his rumba, paso and AT with Claudia wouldnt go into the bland category either. Neither would his VW and Quickstep with Mollie, or his VW with Lauren either. More impressive when you consider not one of his partners have had dance experience

Her enthusiasm and energy was absolutely fantastic. She came alive at 0:57 in my opinion. Her footwork was superb. Her posture was wonderful and her head movements were great. I loved the bit out of hold even though it is technically breaking the rules but I thought it was sticatto, slick and feirce. One of the best females in my opinion. A very good first dance, Saffron has so much potential. Great turns and promenade kicks. *7/10*

Yes, they keep going on about how fans will vote nomatter how she dances. As if people who like Catherine because of Coronation Street aren't voting for her cos they like her and not how she dances. Whats more unfair is that the majority of the public won't vote for her even if she dances amazingly because they don't like youtubers etc. Even if she pulled the best dance of the night off, they wouldn't vote for her so they should stop pretending it should be all about the dance.

Horrendous song choice but amazing dances. She didn’t have a stern face. Actually neither did Aj. The song wasn’t meant for a stern face. But expression out of the way, SHE DANCED AMAZING! Aj could get to the final if she improves too the point of say Karim or Kelvin

Im sorry but karim wasn't all that good.. the choreography was frantic and he was so hyper I couldn't focus on anything he did decent.. IMO saffron danced better on the night, the steps weren't fluffed and she did them effortlessly whilst holding a great frame
