      Hey Guys ! Great and very fun video! You guys had fun at this time!
      One little odd thing, I spent as much time as you did in Yellowstone, the day before you were actually there...
      On Friday 8/18 I left Helena Mt. around 1 pm and drove through Yellowstone North to South...
      I Love Yellowstone... would always go out of my way to go through...again and again...
      Great Video!

      Love watching the channel. I’m learning a lot watching the different channels before we head out next year for some trips. Great info and now always waiting to see next one. Takes me forever to put together a small video from a trip we do. You do a great job putting this together and then getting it out on the road too. Thant’s something. My wife and I decided to have a fun summer and went to work for a company that runs some of the restaurants and hotels. We didn't make lots of money but that was not the point. We got to spend the summer in a National Park! We had room and board, and a small salary. But to wake up every day and see the wonders of Yellowstone Park was amazing! (How many of you have seen Old Faithful at 3 AM) And there are many geysers that go off anywhere from 4 hrs to 4 days apart! Most people don't have the time on vacation to wait that long. Now I know it would take a lifetime to see all of Yellowstone Love your videos, very helpful, well put together, and FUN to watch!!!!

    I bow to your expertise. I was there in my 4 banger pick-up right after the eclipse. Not once, anywhere in or near the 2 parks, did I find a place to park. Saw one buffalo in the distance. I had gear to backpack, but even the trailheads were overflowing. Went to 4 x 4 roads, and fee campgrounds. Thank goodness for your video, I can see what I missed. We sure do love you guys!!!! The best surprise for me during my travels was going to see a small pueblo (village) that had no date of when it was established called Casarabonela in Spain. It was pre-historic and determined the Romans had inhabited and the Phoenicians. Some of the buildings and architecture of that area were thousands of years old which was incredible to me.

    Yellowstone was our first "real" road trip in our RV earlier this year. We went up through Jackson to West Yellowstone via Teton Pass.....holy white knuckle trip, batman. Steep grade, our brakes were smoking! Rather scary. Yellowstone was really special (but crowded). We are also discovering the trip time math to be something like: take what Google says and * 1.5......at least. We're headed to the Grand Canyon and possibly a couple national parks in Utah next spring. Love your videos. Safe travels!

    Yes, Google Maps, 4 hours of their driving equals 1 day. I can sometimes push for 5 hours, but that's pushing.

    Trish, I'm so with you. If you go the extra mile and make nice food for your family there's complaints (although - didn't I hear something along the lines of "if this is camping food I want more of it!" a season or two back??). But wait what kind of complaints you get when you don't provide the food everyone is used to. So no matter how you do it, you just don't seem to be able to live up to expectations. That's the true "housewife" dilemma (since I'm the one running the kitchen here, I get texts from my wife like "is there something to sample yet?" - she doesn't even get out of bed for that!)

    "I feel these roads are made of treadmills" - Best statement ever from the guy driving. We never even come close to the ETA that Google maps provides. Partly because we are on vacation and "taking our time" and partly because traveling with an RV in tow is simply just slower going. Like Trish said " you get there when I tell you". So true. You were so new, you still had a couple of the original tires on the trailer..........By the way, our motorcycle trip to Bannf took us through Yellowstone, where we became the only people to EVER go through Yellowstone without seeing a single buffalo.

    • @KeepYourDaydream
      @KeepYourDaydream  Před 6 lety +2

      That's impossible! To have original tires & not see a buffalo.

    I think this video came up as recommended because I have been looking at Tetons videos. I have only sporadically watched your videos. I was in Alliance, Nebraska for the eclipse, having toured the Black Hills rather quickly the week before and then down to the Mammoth Site at Hot Springs and then the Museum of the Fur Trade in Chadron, NE, and finally to Alliance on Sunday evening. My Brother and his wife and daughter drove in from Fargo to watch it with me.

    Your videos have come along way since the first few, great job! As for surprises along our journey, for me, was a weekend at the Clinton County Fairgrounds in Pennsylvania. Dirt track auto racing and then black powder shooting competition. We met some great people from the Keystone Cowboys. They followed us more than our family!

    I wonder how many times a day the rangers hear complaints about the $50 fee. I said the same exact thing that I was just passing through... "yep still $50"...

    if you are planning another adventure in Banff, include the Icefields Parkway up to Jasper, AB. The Icefields will take you to venture out onto a glacier and see the retreat of it since the 1980's. Worth the stop. Jasper is a smaller Banff, but more hippie - like. also worth your time.
