Yes absolutely Take more power and freedom away from we the people. Don't let us decide for ourselves. In industrialised government training centres aka schools continue to fail to empower the people with critical thinking and information about the difference between law and legislation, for example. How can the people choose for themselves whether alcohol is right for them when we have been so dumbed down by the system. What would we do without you wise ones attempting to decide for us?

I thought at first you were saying you’re 17. Sadly even staying sober as a teen is unusual it seems. I waited until 21 and learned in college that most everyone drank in high school even the scholars. I basically lived under a rock through high school and had no social life so I was never subjected to that stuff. Tried it at 21 and all my friends were so shocked to hear it was my first time. They were giving me drinks all night and I hated them all (the drinks) lol. Drank a few more times before graduating and never liked it. It tastes like I imagine car gasoline tastes lol. Lost a brother to drunk driving recently and thankfully he only really hurt himself with his mistakes. Have another brother and brother in law I really wish would quit and I guess I’m lucky I never struggled with an addiction. Seems bizarre to me that drinking isn’t looked at in the same negative way as overeating or smoking.

According to Google Bipolar people also may get brain-shrinking damage, which may cause other physical illnesses,
they used to be more sexual and cheat on partners.
Alcohol and smoking cause men to decrease testosterone.
Sex addiction and porn addiction also causes lowering the intelligence level and losing memory.
It seems that maybe addicts live in fantasy about how smart they are, yet their brain becomes dumber and dumber.
The only way to maintain happiness and youth is doing meditation, and practicing empathy and gratitude is part of it too. Some say its the orgasm between brain and heart.

Be careful brody. All of us former alcoholics started that way. Next thing you know, you're waking up on Monday - Sunday drinking whiskey. And sneaking that drink on lunch break at work. You know whiskey is really good mixed in coffee 😉
Anyways, you can still develop Cirrhosis or Liver Disease only drinking on weekend btw. It's happened to plenty of people.
If you heard all the stories about what drinking regularly can do to your body you'd want it banned too. 25 - 35 year olds are dropping dead from alcohol abuse from conditions you'd think only older drinkers suffer from.
Also, it's well known that almost everyone lies about their alcohol consumption so they dont look bad and irresponsible. Especially the ones at the bar every weekend you can bet they drink at home too weekdays. My girlfriend claimed to be an "only weekend" drinker until a few months into the relationship she slipped and admitted she drinks a white claw before going to work.
I'd bet money you don't drink on just weekends.
Anyways alcohol was a lesson I had to learn for myself so I get it. Drink away bud.

It’s only a problem for the weak, the rest of us just enjoy it for the pleasure it is.
My indulgence is fine wine, which tends be a an expensive indulgence at 600 to 4000 dollars a bottle ( there are many who can afford much finer and more expensive wines than that) but for me that price range is typically where I find I get most bang for my bucks in terms of price / quality and frankly I’m not one of those people who can afford 70000 or 100,000 dollar bottles, or more.
It is however one of my great passions in the same way a wonderful black truffle is.

Everyone metabolizes differently. Alcoholics are typically fast metabolizes and so they get a buzz quick but they loose it quick so they start ‘chasing’ that buzz. Slow metabolizers can have a drink and the feeling stick with them and not desire another. People who are alcoholic typically are very deficient in vit D(more sunlight) and b vitamins, the alcohol makes them feel better short run but long run runs their body down, something to consider if you have a loved one stuck in alcoholism. My dad is a recovered alcoholic, his dad died of cirrhosis and so did his dad. My fathers kids have broken the cycle. Supposedly liquor was called spirits because as you drink, your spirit becomes weakened and if you black out, another spirit comes into your body….

    • @Dustandfuzz
      @Dustandfuzz Před 9 měsíci

@@randomcole619 Totally agree. Vitamin D and B vitamins. B for brain. And doesn’t everyone feel better with sunshiny days than day after day of rain. Vitamin D comes from sunlight. I have to supplement in this climate. Even with sunny days in winter here there is not enough skin exposure to get enough D from the sun. Too bundled up in order to keep warm outside. B vitamins benefit your entire nervous system. I firmly believe if I had known about them when I was very nutrient deficient I would not have broken out in shingles. Had a terrible case with no anti viral drug prescribed, not sure why it wasn’t given, maybe negligence. Ended up with a lot of damage done to the nerves and post herpetic pain for decades. So get all the good nutrition you should be getting, especially B and D vitamins. Then you will be happier without alcohol.

Needless to say, things got really dark and I didn't think I would ever get out of that cycle. It's frustrating that so much of our society is built around drinking. If you want to go out and do something, be around people, be social, after 5pm (when the coffee shops close) the only option is the bar. I hope anyone struggling with this addiction finds the support and strength they need to quit. Stop drinking and Start living! Thank you for this inspiring video Leon!👋❤

@brantpowell5483 What you're saying in your comment makes sense. The "Stop drinking and Start living" it might not be so appropriate and useful. Good communication and encouraging someone to talk about why they drink, and offering options for help and support may motivate them to quit alcohol. Definitely you cannot force someone to stop abusing alcohol. Also we shouldn't making them feel shame or lowering their self-esteem, cause will do no good in a situation such as this. We have to remember alcoholism is a disease! Thanks for the reply and have a great day!🙌

11 months today. I cannot believe it’s been almost a year since I was hallucinating and hearing voices because I was so dehydrated from being so hungover that I couldn’t even keep water down. I found out that the reason I was abusing alcohol is because I actually have very severe ADHD that was going untreated. I did not get on medication for it until a couple of months ago, so I had quite a bit of sobriety under my belt, but now I realize that drinking alcohol and blacking out almost every single time was a dopaminergic seeking behavior. I’ve lost weight, tightened up my friends circle, set boundaries, and fell in love with all my old hobbies that I had as a child, that I was either ridiculed for, or had taken away for me as a punishment because I was having trouble focusing, and just getting along in school. Life is just so much better now.

I've consumed alcohol very conservatively since first doing so in my late twenties. I've been what one would call a light "social drinker" most of my life. No more. I finally quit completely at the age of 61 when I found out it had likely triggered a frightening episode of atrial fibrillation. I flat-out quit alcohol three months ago and it has completely changed my outlook on the world. The relief of stress that I used to feel from consuming alcohol has likely been what's been killing my motivation for years. What I feel now when I avoid alcohol in such moods is an urgent need to change my behavior in a positive way. Now, when I feel stressed, I do something real and positive about it instead of simply masking the feeling and losing out on the positive force of that emotion.
