Did Ichigo Absorb the Soul King’s Power? | The Truth About Irazusando

Bleach's Irazusando Trial is one of the most intruiging BLEACH concepts to have been added into the Thousand Year Blood War Anime. In this video, I break it down in full and contextualize it's place within the larger mythos of BLEACH mythology.
Ichigo: why do you let them do it?
Soul King : so you wouldn't have to
That poem certainly refers to the Spirit King's ultimate fate as a battery being forever drained and used as a lynchpin. Still the fact that this was essentially Ichigo being made ready to endure a fate far worse than death is chilling. These visions are the King's telepathic warnings of his peril. This entire situation drives home the dangers of being too powerful.
Except the one who's too powerful wouldn't be in danger if they have the same mentality as Aizen cuz SK wouldn't have been kept as a lynchpin if he didn't want to. Too powerful means nobody could do anything to you without you letting them. If the SK didn't want a world with death then the ones who's in the Original sin wouldn't be able to do anything but the SK was too compassionate
You’re the only one who got the chance to really break this scene. Nice one flame
There is a very subtle parallel with this trial and an interaction with Zangetsu. Remember the "Form, ability and shape. If these things are equal, what makes one person the King to lead the charge into battle and the other the horse to carry the King into battle?" The part where Ichigo experiences the trial for King-hood is similar. He has to show mastery over his powers.
To that point, his powers can be qualified as such: Shinigami representing the cyclical nature of the world, Hollow representing the primal drive of the world, Fullbring representing the ability to manipulate the world, and Quincy representing the ability to incorporate meaning from the world into form.
Outside of this is the idea of Hell. I think Hell is another dimension where thing sthat would adversely affect the order of the world reside.
Ichigo still lacks a mastery over these horses (to which there are four, and that number is.. peculiar. But that's insight past guessing.)
Your point about Ichigo gaining king power and not need to sacrifice his life to replace the Soul king was new and interesting to me. So far, every analysis I've seen and read has emphasized that whoever has king power and replaces the Soul king and is somehow must be killed (by Ichibē Hyōsube or novel families).
They couldn't even Kill the Soul King(he only let them make him a lynchpin) and Ywach wasn't even dead till Kazui destroyed the last remnant of him in the future and even then I don't think he's dead so No being dead ain't a requirement for being a Lynchpin. Incapacitation of the Lynchpin was only done cuz the nobles were too scared of the Lynchpins' power which is dumb since if the SK wanted to they wouldn't be able to do anything to him cuz Even a remnant of his power would be able to resist or nullify Ichibe's power what more if it's his full power.
So glad, you brought up the Shiba clan and their attitude regarding the Soul King... really makes it come full circle.
On the other hand, I disagree with 2 things:
1, "Nothing to do with zanpakutou" would rather say, not focusing on zanpakutou. Given how intimately a zanpakutou is linked to the soul of those who can access it, there is no trial of the soul without touching on it. Yyyup, this isn't Nimaya's place, so it's not the focus and it's important to stress that, but I'd have been more cautious with that wording.
2, 'absorbing' the power of the Soul King. Sorry for nitpicking on minutiae and semantics again, but given how abstract we are dealing with here, it's very important to be as precise as possible.
I'd prefer 'awakening' 'cuz I don't necessarily think, this takes away the Almighty or any power from the Soul King, just stress testing Ichigo, to push his separate bloodlines to the breaking point, where you either perish or become able to use them as one, as a truly transcendent being.
I do love your wording there!
Speaking of the Soul King we see that his power once freed violently attacks all Soul Reapers on sight. While he might have given himself up, what was done to him probably pissed him off to no end. Haschwalth remarks on this staging the Soul Reapers were always the Reio’s true enemies. Kubo. Even Reio wasn’t even his original name just a title he was sealed under, further robbing him of his personhood and identity.
Nah he knew what would happen since he could also see the future like Ywach.
Reenforcement of ichigo's mental state (soul) in maintaining stability when faced with overwhelming information, force, power and a bend in fate which is of oppression... This reenforcement allows him the fortitude to withstand and overwhelm the likes of the quency/soul king when they use their power to overwhelm reality/fate in front of him and as a counter-agent/force overcomes them in turn.
12:30 I think because of this trail, & whatever he gained. Later on with help of that, yhwach wasn't able to see & erase the accurate future releted to ichigo
Love Your Work Man!
Bruh love the ending, i am with ya loving it.
this helped me understand thank you
Although in the manga, Yuwach ended up taking Ichigo's Quincy and hollow powers. I wonder if that was Yuwach (or even Soul King's will) trying to ensure that ichigo will no longer be a soul king candidate, thus freeing him from the possibility of living as a dismembered lynchpin
id arguably say will of the SK.. once someone pointed out that he alsp has eyes of the almighty but should be able to see more, it made me feel like Yhwach and SK are technically using the story of bleach as Almighty power activations.
yhwach chooses a timeline where he doesnt die and comes back in the future. chooses a timeline where even if he doesnt, the soul king is killed. so the soul king chooses a timeline that follows his death. one that leads to ichigo not being burdened with the position but resolves the situation. and in a way this scene could be him trying to convey "i know whats going to happen and you will be fine, dont worry about it. "
In the can’t fear your own world novel it was said that ichigo hollow and Quincy powers returned to him after ywach died
Letsss gooooooooo I thought wed never see horn of salvation again@@rogergoga8237
Ichigo got his powers back
yeah thats what i said @@AnimeTrap69
Profound that’s what this take is…Thank you.
Nice video rebirth👍
My man
i thought hell already existed and will exist whether the soul king exists or not it was completely unrelated to the other planes of existence. i also remember jameshanson telling that information so i think h aint lying
(Future me I'm at work when I did this, so I migh5 be leaving things out but when I get off I'll come back😊)
I'm so happy you don't believe he has the Almighty. But I do believe ichigo thru this power can imprint his soul onto one's psychological state. Ichigo being a shinngami and a quincy mean he can talk with old man zangetsu who can bestow his power as we seen. But, he could also give someone a piece of his soul. Ichigo can feel the intention of those he fights thru the blade. We also know everyone who has come to cross blows have changed for the better. Renji, byakuya, kenpachi, ulquiorra, Aizen, ginjo they all have had a change of perception. Now its up to the individual IF he wants to change. Why didn't Aizen take over the SS? He could of after ywhbach he DEFINITELY could. But no he doesn't. Aizen also give the courage speak was odd Aizen wouldn't of even THOUGHT that. But he does. Also ichigo in the hell arc is a Translator. He brings one opposite and converts it for another so we can talk, become one with the other. This is my thoery maybe all of ya can find the cracks in my logic
What aizen will do after yhwach we dont know
Not every Quincy can hand out pieces of their soul. Only Yhwach and his other half, Hashwalth.
The way I always saw Transcendence is that every "race" in Bleach have relatively the same max level of Reiryoku, but hybrids of two or more races have higher maximum potential level. This can explain why the Hogyoku breaking down the barrier between shinigami and hollow doesnt just make the subject an equal levelled hybrid, but stronger than both. Also is why Ichigo has such high potential, given that he is the ultimate hybrid, making him the perfect candidate for SK. If this is so, then Yhwach is more than just a Quincy, but is likely also a hybrid between all races.
Yhwach is "the nut of the Soul King" so naturally his potential is quite high right off the cuff.
what would be the color of each race? I guess that the blue one is quincy and the golden... human?
Blue Quincy, gold Shinigami (for Ichigo), red hollow (for Ichigo), green fullbring(human)
I'm pretty sure red is shinagami, since in the begining of bleach we learn both by Uryu and the "true" sinigami power awakening of ichigo that you can find shinigami power by searching for the red strand of "clothes" (don't remember the exact name).
So if you have a quincy saying red = shinigami and getting his shinigami power took ichigo to "sense" a red strand of reiatsu too, it become pretty hard for the color to be associated with another race...
What does each color represent? I can assume blue for Quincy, and red for Hollow
Blue Quincy. Red hollow, gold Shinigami, green fullbring

I don't think Ichigo got the power directly, but got a boost through the bloodline.
Kazui, on the other hand..
😮🤔😮🔥🙈👍🤩😎
Human Shinigami Hollows Quincy fullbringer Ichigo is all of these he is the true Soul King far more powerful than anyone in the world of bleach☺️💯💯👍👍👍👍👍
Personally, the way I saw it was that they did want to give him that power along with the almighty. Like you said though, the power seemed like it was making him swell up. Like he was going to explode. Then the wooden sword glowed, and he was fine after. And also like you said, they need him to live to fight Yhwach. I think he actually failed the trial. I think the wooden sword was made to save him if he were to fail the trial. Because like you said, this is about him bettering himself. Not as a soul reaper, but as the hybrid being he is. So why bring the sword then? The only thing I could think of to counter this is that almost everyone uses a weapon in Bleach. So, maybe Ichigo needs a weapon to help wield that power to? And maybe that's why the wooden sword glowed? I don't know. Those are just my thoughts. I was curious what you thought about it if you ever read this.
The thing is, to a shinigame their zampakuto are a manifestation of their fight spirit, Ichigo probable are holding that wooden sword to represent his determination and when the wooden sword emited light it is like Ichigo fighting to not sucumb to the power.
@@gabrielrasilva you’re probably right, it’s just that they made it seem like he was going to get the Almighty. So I’m just trying to think of a reason why he didn’t get them in the end. I know Flame talked about it. It just didn’t feel like enough concrete evidence for me. Which is no one’s fault. We just don’t have enough information on what is happening. Or if we’ll ever receive that information.
Do you think Aizen, Ginjo and Hikone would have also to undergo Irazusando?
They were soul king contenders after all.
Yes,i think so.
they can attempt irazusando test, but can they pass it is a different story.
@@User5hdbh Aizen definitely can since he's the closet to Ichigo in power. About the other 2 not sure
@@Grayson-Winchester the one that i know close to ichigo in power is kenpachi not aizen, bc there is no way no 2 is weaker than no 4 isn't it?
@@User5hdbh Aizen is immortal and has ridiculously high reiatsu, I don't see why he would be weaker than Kenpachi.
I wanna an what if where squad zero try to sacrifice Ichigo to keep the world of soulsociety and Ichigo go: fuck you, and give them an beat.
They could convince him to stay.

@@GODOFAWSOMENESS1how? Man have an lovely and powerfull family and friends, how the 0squad will convence him? The thing is even if they say it is his fate Ichigo alread made it clear he will fight against fate for a better future for his loved ones.
@@gabrielrasilva well when the worlds are colliding he would be able to be convinced I’m not saying that squad zero and Urahara could convince him right off the bat but he would step up when everything goes to shit.
why it become weird if ichigo have the almighty? soul king have it, yhwach have it, jugram also kinda have it, if there is many character who have the almighty why can't ichigo have the almighty? i don't get it
power of a king? which king? soul king isn't it?
so based on your word
you said
power of a king and the almighty are not the same
in this context king is refer to soul king, so it become
power of a soul king and the almighty are not the same
so lets get more context here, what power that soul king have? that's right it is the almighty
so the statement become "the almighty and the almighty are not the same"
what you are talking it kinda like "two and 2 are not the same" like what? seriously?
what kind of joke is this, can somebody tell me.
Think of almight like an power that can only be held by ine person a time, like Reio have it, after that Yuha have it, Ichigo probable have been tested by the 0 squad to know if he can have it too. The only tging we don't know is how the almight decide who will be it next owner.
@@gabrielrasilva "The only tging we don't know is how the almight decide who will be it next owner"
wdym by that? are you trying to make almighty similar to mythical zoan fruit from one piece?
@@User5hdbh Jugram doesn't have it all the time, only when Juha allows it. The Soul King had it, but he was in this weird state of not being either dead nor alive, so I don't think that counts. The idea that "The Allmighty" is a limited ability that can't exist in too many people at once is validated with Ichibei's origin and the universe creating special individuals in times of need.
Also, having the Allmighty and knowing how to use it are different things. I personally see it this way:
Yhwach has the ability to see the future and change it at will.
Jugram has the ability to see the future, but not to change it.
Ichigo, through Irazusando, has the ability to change the future, but not see it, thus why he was able to revert the broken bankai and actually kill Yhwach.
My point is, even for the people who can wield the power of the Allmighty, the proficiency in using it varies and there are conditions to the usage of said power, it isn't something granted lightly.
@@carlosjosejimenezbermudez9255 I feel like you're likely right about this interpretation.
Soul King has it as he's the progenitor. Yhwach is the Soul King's son, so he inherited it. Jugram is Yhwach's "other half" and trades power with him while Yhwach sleeps. Ichigo's a natural hybrid, sure, but he has no direct link to the Soul King like the other three.
First
i'm sorry but naruto isn't touching bleach....EVER.
