This IS my ALL time favorite pinball game. All the quarters I spent on this were well worth it.
3 billion! WHO SAYS YOU CAN'T TAKE IT WITH YOU? Brilliant as usual. The side drain that ended this game was basically the table saying "OK that's enough, I'm not letting you hit the left ramp again. It's been over an hour now give it a rest."

I think I can hear at least one reason why this is considered one of the greatest pinball games of all time. Listen to Raul Julia. He must have had so much fun recording this. His enthusiasm just rubs off onto you. :)

Best pinball game of all time. I was a kid in the 90's, grew up on Addams Family. I loved the platformer on SNES/Genesis/Gameboy and I LOVED this pinball game. They had it at a local pizza parlor. I would LOVE to have this in my house. :D

This used to be my favourite pinball table when I was younger. I once had a game last nearly 5 hours.High score lasted for months till the scores got reset. :)

Oh man this takes me back , I really want one.
I have so many fond memories of going to the corner convenience store and playing this everyday. It replaced Bad Cats which was decent as well but nowhere near this one.

Well played ! I've learnt one or two tricks that I will try. You didn't had too much of those damn balls leaving by the right exterior lane, it happens all the time for me, quite frustrating...

This pinball machine was in a place called "Big Ed's" in my hometown. Just a little burger and fries place. I was a paperboy. The guy working would buy a paper for 50cents out of the register (even though they were 35 cents at the time) and I would go play video games in their game room for a little bit and then go home. Addams family pinball was a favorite of mine. But I don't think I ever got more than 200million on the best of best of days.

I used to be very good at this game and loved every hour I spent playing it. It looks like the tilt might be turned off or not as sensitive as the one I used to play.
Nudging is very flawed in many recent digital pinball releases, so much so you can do things like steering the ball in Pinball Arcade or nudge passing on Pinball FX3 without penalty. It doesn't help that since I play on a keyboard, nudging is full power at the press of a button. Tilt is enabled, in this case.
...not even Visual Pinball X is perfect in the nudging aspect, with a keyboard. Games like the Pro Pinball series had it right.
In my country pinball machines (or we call them Flipper Automaten) are extrem rare. The only 2 machines i ever saw in person, back in summer 2000, was the Terminator 2 and the Addams Family table. They stood side by side. Well arcades never existed here.

What's the best strategy? - repeat tour the mansions or just go for reload multiball double triple jackpots. You should definitely go get those extra balls early on.

That left orbit is such a killer for me. It seems to speed up the ball!
Well done on beating up on it. I enjoyed the gameplay on it in real like immensely. The differences between this one and the real one is the magnetic coil in the center. This one is more arbitrary than the real one. I never had the coil hit a ball and reverse it outright like this virtual machine does.
Nighthawke70 I've played the real machine before, and to be honest, I don't really know how the magnet works. It's been one year since I've had a good play on it.
They got three big coil magnets underneath the playfield actuated by relays. Nothing fancy like a giant rotating bar magnet...
Nighthawke70 yeah, they're on a circular track that spins, and they turn on and off (randomly?), as well (I'm pretty sure).

What's this called at 1:41 when the hole machine is shaking to avoid the ball falling through the flippers?
Shadowvail Nudging. In real life you give a small shove to the machine to avoid the drain - not too much though, or you will tilt it. In TPA there are buttons to nudge the table left, right, up, and down. You can always give the table one safe nudge in TPA without tilting, so long as you don't do it every three or four seconds.

"Gone. Reduced to atoms." Well, not really. Starting July 2018, all Williams/Bally games were removed. This license went over to Zen Studios.

If either of you wanted it the tables lost to time, let's say that the life of eyepatch wearing, peg leg having, parrot on the shoulder methods still has it available as an archive.
Normally I'd never advocate for it for such a great game that in it's self is an archive, but, when services fail, it's legitimate for the sake of preservation of culture and information.

If you have the PS3 person of this game, you will see the initials CPW on most of the tables. He is my dad. I have some high scores. My initials are CAW.
Can you get this many extra balls in the regular game. Or are the rules just set to super easy in this ?
The rules are normal as in the arcades, but the only factors that changed are that Replays/Specials are set to Extra Balls.

w0mbles It's one of the most popular tables there is. I feel I haven't toured it enough; someone else took hold of the #1 position (who happens to be none other than the legendary Tarek Oberdieck), ignoring all the hacked scores on the leaderboards.
***** I did notice that you prefer to go for the bear ramp over and over, rather pick away at the mansion rewards or go for GREED. BTW, that final drain was very cruel. Dirty Pool, old man!

@pinballwiz45b Hacked scores? That Tarek Oberdieck dood has a score posted at 84billion on pinball arcade. I find that incredibly hard to believe is legitimate. 84billion? Something is not right there. Are you guys playing on a console? Which one?

I believe it, given the Super Bear Bonus thing when you hit 99 at 1:02:19... but unless I'm missing something, you didn't ever hit that ramp again, and that was exactly 99 (1:01:05 shows 96, 1:01:47 is 97, though not shown, and at 1:02:17, you light the double and then hit the 99.)
Is that why the game ended? You knew no more bear kicks would count, so you gave up? :D

i lose so many balls straight down the centre. I nudge and hit the flippers and i save them half the time but the other half seem impossible to stop

The movie kinda sucked, but the pinball table's fun. Get it while you can, though. Bally-Williams tables are only available until the 30th of June. The good news is once you buy a table, you can play it any time you like, even after the expiration of the Bally-Williams license held by Farsight Studios.

I don't know if it's possible on the virtual table, nor how to get it reliably on the physical table... but if you can somehow manage to get a ball into the vault tunnel when the bookcase is closed, that's the sound that's generated... I think I maybe only ever saw it happen once?!? But it was very memorable. :)

One way to achieve the dirty pool is to exploit the ball search. Time the shot as the vault opens during the procedure to get the special voice line.
