  • Frank the Red Fox Lab come to visit us for being nervous/reactive
We used the tool the clients brought with them (head collar), Frank was very disconnected from his owners so we worked on lead walking, advocating for your dog i.e. changing your body position and giving clear instructions. As Frank is from working lines we wanted to give him a job to slow him down for this we used a weighted doggy back pack.

If you want a job specific to the breed I recommend getting a dummy (or even a tennis ball) and throwing it into some long grass while the dog waits, get the dog to find it and bring it back. I've a working fox red lab myself and nothing makes him work harder (mentally & physically) than doing blind retrieves.

This video could have been made for my dog. Very useful. Thank you.

In my opinion the dog is confused and doesn’t really know what’s happening. The lab is hearing the sit command twice and in multiple occasions. 🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️

What kind of weights did you put inside the backpack?

What lead is that I always seem to get the rope ones which aren’t that comfortable

If that dogs working lines it seems they're feeding him up to look like a chubby show line
