When you think of Edge Lane Retail Park, memories made at Hollywood Bowl are likely to spring to mind.
Attracting thousands of children from across Merseyside and beyond, it has also been a place were many first dates, birthday parties and weekends have been spent. Yesterday, the ECHO reported how Edge Lane's Liverpool Shopping Park will expand in an £11m project that will see the complete redevelopment of Hollywood Bowl.
The development will see Hollywood Bowl’s unit reconfigured and completely refurbished to create a new 35,000sq ft bowling and leisure facility with a new 20 year lease agreed. Following the announcement, we've revisited our archives to show the early days of the popular bowling alley before it embarks on this new chapter.
