Not sure where this came from the be honest. I've always been a Shick fan, and I guess I felt this was a time when I really loved Nicholas Newman. Before his brain was warped by the SyPhyllis Monster! I found his speech at Cassie's funeral to be really touching and wanted to vid it. Also, I was in a meloncholy mood, as you can probably tell. I think I just want my Shick back, pronto!
So this is the end product. I hope you all enjoy :)

cassie newman was the sweetest innocent
The writers really placed focus on nicks grief for Cassie, it was so traumatizing seeing him go through what he did, he couldn't get comfort from his wife because the grief was too deep. It eventually led to his affair with Phyllis and then she got pregnant and he ended up leaving sharon and marrying her. I know we may have all mostly hated that but truth be told life does that's sometimes and Joshua Morrow really deserved an award for his acting for this storyline!
Nick didn't want Cassie in his life at first but when he met her and got to know her, he easily came around. Like, how could he not have that girl in his life. Cassie seemed to have that effect on people. Because when her biological father, Frank Barritt showed up and saw her for the first time, it seemed like he started to realize how wrong he was to abandon her. Frank even made an appointment with a lawyer to discuss his rights to have a relationship with Cassie but he was murdered(by a man who wanted to frame Sharon for murder) before he could get to the appointment.
I remember this storyline...truly heartbreaking😢
THIS was a sad moment I had to cry I remember all those episodes

Thak you everyone for the really kind comments! I agree that Nick is being made into this terrible monster, and I just wanted a video that showed everyone the real Nick Newman! Hopefully people remember this man soon :)
Oh too true that Nick would not have been with her... truth is if it wasn't for Phyllis' son Cassie would be alive. Nick didn't care if Daniel was driving or Cassie. Cassie was 14. It was messed up kinda like Sharon in the past. Finally they are back together and thinking straight.
No other storyline brought me to terms like this tragedy

Died from a car accident. Long story: she had a crush on daniel(phyllis son) who was with lily at the time. She begged nick and sharon to unground her so she could go to a party.they did. At the party daniel got drunk and passed out so she decided to drive him home. Unfortunately since she was a child and couldn't drive well she got into an accident.
I really really REALLY hope that Mariah turns out to be Cassie. Like maybe it was Ian's perverse way of sticking it to Nikki or Willa was so desperate to give Ian a child that she kidnapped Cassie; got someone at the hospital to fake her death and then Cassie woke up with amnesia or something and was brainwashed into being a Path zombie. The fallout of this truth coming to light would be glorious: Nick and Victor beating themselves up for treating her the way that they did. Abby losing her mind. Nikki feeling guilty. Summer becoming more confused. Cassie hating everyone except for Sharon. And I hope this comes out when Phyllis exposes Sharon. The chaos would be grande.
