Excellent Bible teacher and I'm glad he speaks out against calvanism as its a false doctrine but many will speak out against the prosperity n the NAR churches, yet accept and even endorse calvanism. Doesn't make sense.

As a new believer, I studied theology at university without knowing what I was doing. I just wanted to know the Bible better. What I got was a lot of higher criticism and unbelieving scholars to study. There was some good stuff, but It was disappointing to say the least. This is the type of teaching I've been looking for all along. So thankful for Andy Woods.
Progressive sanctification doesn't come without struggles in your Christian walk! In my thinking, I like to time travel back 5,10,15 years and compare that to now and fact check myself! Have I grown spiritually, did I stumble, fall, and get back up, did I struggle with sin, were there times when I thought it wasn't worth it? Yes, to all of it. So, I know from experience progressive sanctification is needed for us as Christians to grow up spiritually.
Our progress has been massively retarded due to the poor doctrine embraced by nearly the whole Christian world for 2000 years. How could we grasp the truth of salvation when nobody within the church taught it? We are all victims of Roman Catholic heresy, Calvinism, Charismatic theology and cultism in general. A few over the ages actually read Paul's writings and at least published abroad bits and pieces of the truth but they went largely irrelevant until recently. Without Dispensationalist THEOLOGY the Bible is a jumble of contradictions. You cannot reconcile Peter's Gospel and Paul's Gospel without it. You cannot grasp why we are truly free from the law without fully understanding the revelation given, in the New Testament, only to Paul. No one else ever knew about it until he told them. We are like Luther. He apprehended Paul and shouted to the world the 'Solas'. But then he fell flat on his face in allowing his truths to be adulterated by turning Lutheranism into a state religion.

And I’ll add this too that it was because of Andy’s teaching on Soteriology that my mind was set free of Calvinism, which I didn’t know I had but I did and that was because I didn’t know what it was, yes I led a very sheltered life doctrinally, but that’s all changed with Andy’s excellent teaching on many topics including The Coming Kingdom. I’m no longer tossed by every wind of doctrine. Thank you Andy. I’m more able to express and explain the Gospel more clearly now and I can pick when a false Gospel is being presented too. Dr Woods teachings have been such a blessing of understanding. More than anything I want to keep a teachable spirit and sometimes it means unlearning what You thought was in context and it was taught outside of content and context. In reality covid has been a spiritual blessing being stuck at home with a disabled husband and my own immune compromise system. We are I our mid to late 70's.
Absolutely. 100% agree with you that the “gospel of salvation” is one spiritual belief we can’t have two different views about. It’s the key message running throughout the inspired Bible . It’s God’s revealed plan for redemption✝️
Showing myself to be a fool, if I am not saved by what Jesus did and my faith in Him, then I won't be there in heaven but I will be in hell. If I am saved by confessing my sins and repent and speaking in tongues, I'm not going to make it. If I have to be a good person then I am lost. It's not that I am against confessing sins and repentance and people who speak in tongues and trying to be a good person. I just can't rely on what I do, but what Jesus did on my behalf and the gift of faith I have in Him. Otherwise I am terribly lost.
I do not really understand when Paul said, Work out your own salvation with fear and trembling." I also don't understand why a person needs several sessions on soteriology in order to know if he has made peace with God through Jesus Christ. If it is that complicated then I am cursed to hell by sharing a false gospel. If it is this complicated then I give up. I won't share the gospel with anyone because I may be damning myself to hell. Keep my hands to myself.
Just share with others how Christ has worked in your life. You love Him because He first loved you, right? How are you different today then you were before you were saved?
"Work out your salvation with fear and trembling." is a commonly misunderstood scripture. The way I understand it is that God has granted you salvation, so do the works God has given you to do and that go along with salvation. I also understand it could mean to examine yourself to see if you are in the faith because many people think they are saved but really are not. I do know it does not mean works contribute anything to salvation and a person can work for it.
Therefore God does all the work: First He creates the Universe, Man and Paradise; Man sins and Paradise is cursed (and all creation); Then Christ saves Man on the cross; And yet, what did Man created in the image of God do? Nothing? He was only asked to have faith in Christ, because everything else was already done! Sorry, but either this narrative is incomplete, or it is inconsistent with a Man created in the image and likeness of the Creator!

It is very insensitive to not purposely empathize with millions who cannot fellowship with other Believers. The odds of finding a place is very small. Here’s the breakdown: 1) no Church nearby. 2) no good Church nearby. 3) no Christians nearby. 4. Only super “churches” that have swallowed up the community Churches 50 miles around. 5) guitar churches for the young people. 6) various cults. 7) etc.... It’s not like it used to be. This is a very current reality. No one will take a little dying or dead community Church and build them anymore. It’s not lucrative enough. I’m not making this up.
